[00:00:02] Speaker A: Welcome back, everybody. This is the sofa wise guys. I am here with Sniper west as well as Aaron Toler, our sports betting gurus. Sniper out of Las Vegas and Aaron out of Southern California. We're going to cover some college football picks as well as some NFL. Last week, our second episode of the show, we did pretty well. A clean sweep for college football picks and a pretty decent showing as well on the NFL overall personal plays. Can't speak on that. It was hit or miss for everybody involved as last week was really different in the NFL. But excited to go over a few games here. We're going to start with college football. I believe Sniper wants to talk a little bit about Georgia Tech visiting Stanford here up in Palo Alto. Give it to us. [00:00:57] Speaker B: Yeah, you know, it's kind of funny. It looks like Aaron and I are both headed up to your neck of the woods up there in NorCal, the Bay Area, because I'm going to talk about Stanford here and he's going to talk about Cal. So covering all sides of the Bay, the South Bay and the East Bay, right? Been up to the Bay Area a couple of times. So yeah, Georgia Tech and Stanford here. So the one thing you got to remember, obviously Georgia Tech is traveling east to west. They're playing very, very late. So, you know, the body clock issue might be a factor. But this Georgia Tech yellow jacket team, so they played Mercer last week and obviously Mercer is an FCS team. They blew them out as well they should. But they have offensive line issues right now. They're kind of banged up. Ethan McKinney and Jameson Riggs, they're both out. Jordan Floyd and Will Reed, they started their first career college football games on the offensive line last week and obviously they played in Mercer and they blew him out. So we'll see. I don't know if McKinney and Riggs are going to be starting here or not. The word I heard is they aren't. So Floyd and Reed are going to be on that offensive line. So we'll see if that's going to be a factor there. But you know, concerning the offensive line. So Georgia Tech, they only have one player that has a 70 or better run blocking grade. Okay. This is a stat. It's from Pro Football Focus. So 70 is basically an average offensive lineman as far as run blocking goes. The highest guy that Georgia Tech has is Kevin P. Jr. And that's 64.4. So what does all this mean? It means that Georgia Tech is just struggling to run the ball. They don't run block well and they don't run the ball well, hence the reason they only ran for 50 yards against an FCS team in the first half last week against Mercer. So they have to run the ball better here and I do think they will because Stanford, Stanford just gave up 268 yards rushing to Duke. So if you're going to run on anybody, it's probably going to be Stanford here. And Alberto Mendoza, he's the quarterback here for Georgia Tech, obviously younger brother of Fernando Mendoza who's with the Raiders now. He's been hit or miss this year. But you know, Stanford, they've given up over 300 yards a game through the air and rank 134th in passing yards allowed. So I think Mendoza has a big day here. Man, I'm going to lay the three and a half with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. One of the last games on the docket on, on Saturday night over Stanford. [00:03:14] Speaker A: Nice. Yeah, I just saw that pretty interesting. I totally forgot Mendoza's brother was there. I was really curious where he ended up and I, and, and, and I knew that in the offseason and I completely forgot. Aaron, any takes on that game. Otherwise we could start talking about yours. [00:03:29] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, look, piggybacking off what sniper said, look, Georgia Tech has struggled. I mean, obviously their offensive defensive line does not look good. I mean this is a team that typically is a power team. They like to run, they like to impose their will. They have not gotten off to a good start. Stanford, I mean Stanford still Stanford, they're still in a re. Rebuild, definitely for sure right now the nil money's not been great there. They got an opening win against Hawaii, but Duke took care of them. Miami laid a lot of points on them as well. Could be a high scoring game too. I mean, Georgia Tech, you know, I think they got beat what, 44, 30 against Tennessee a couple weeks ago. So the competition wise, these. Both these teams have played some decent opponents. But yeah, I mean, Georgia Tech traveling here, Stanford, I mean, no one's going to be there at that game. So it's like, like a home game, high school game back in the old days when these guys were playing. So yeah, if Georgia Tech can kind of impose their will, I think they got. Their staff's been there a long lot longer. They should be able to get the job done here. [00:04:32] Speaker A: Nice. Next game for college football. This is Aaron's pick. He's going to talk a little bit about Clemson vs. Cal, also here in Northern California, right down the street from me in Berkeley. [00:04:45] Speaker C: Yeah, so it's Interesting. You know, we've got the last game kicking off basically on a Saturday, but we got the last game kicking off here on a Friday night too. With Clemson traveling to Cal, new coaching staff. You know, I've been high on this team. JKS there as a quarterback. They're looking for a signature win and they got a good chance to get one here. Clemson basically coming off a six hour, three hour delay. Lightning against North Carolina. They have not looked good. Clemson, I mean talking about teams that just can't move the ball offensively. Clemson rings up there. They didn't do anything against lsu, Georgia Southern. They struggled to move the ball and North Carolina had them on the ropes. They got that lightning delay, kind of regrouped and came back in the fourth quarter and got the victory there. But Clemson is just not the same teams they used to. They don't have that it factor. They don't have that fear factor when teams come in. And I believe Cal, new coaching staff, the program's hyped. They're looking for a big win. They came out the showdown against ucla. They basically got a scrimmage game against an FCS Wagner team last week. I like how to pick them here to get the job done and beat Clemson outright. [00:05:50] Speaker A: Beautiful. Any feedback on that pick? Sniper. [00:05:54] Speaker B: Yeah, you know Clemson, Clemson wound up on bad beats last week. Not, not they're doing. They were the one who beat, you know, North Carolina. But yeah, you know, they came back and they had to score a touchdown. I actually had North Carolina plus three and a half which they were going to cover if Clemson didn't run a 40 yard touchdown and a completely unnecessary 40 yard touchdown, you know, with like four. I'm very well aware, which is what happens on bad beats. Speaking of bad beats, you guys want to go over what happened in Vanderbilt with an NC State and Vanderbilt because that was by far the worst beatable. [00:06:28] Speaker C: Oh my gosh. [00:06:29] Speaker B: If you were on, if you were on NC State, let me tell you what, there is no worse way you can lose. That actually took the points the plus. Not only that, but Bandy covered the minus three and a half on that. Aaron, that's insane. Right? Can you believe that? [00:06:48] Speaker C: What sucked. What sucked is if you had the three and a half was when they added the extra second because they could have just ended the game and said it's over, but they added one second which was the right call. But you're talking about adding a second. If not, the referees were just ready to walk off and be like hey, 34, 31. But yeah, I agree, man. That's, that's the game where you're already in line, getting ready to punch your ticket, and then you go to the counter, you give the guy the tick and he goes, hey, you just lost. And you're like, dude, stop playing games. Like it's not April Fool's. Like, let's go. Pay me. Like, no, turn around. And you're like, oh my God. Like, I can't believe what I said. I can't believe it. It's got to be one of the worst beats ever. [00:07:25] Speaker B: Yeah, there, there were 10 things that quarterback could have done to, to just end the game. He could have thrown the ball out of bounds. He could have thrown the ball 30 yards down the field, up in the air. He could have ran out the back of the end zone. He could have fell down. He could have, he could have, he could have tried to run out of the end zone. He could have. There were so many things he could have done except fumble the ball. I mean, how does that happen? [00:07:52] Speaker A: That's rough. [00:07:52] Speaker C: Everything he could have done, basically, even if they called a safety, a holding, whatever, it's only two points, they still would have won the game. [00:07:59] Speaker B: Yeah, right. [00:08:00] Speaker C: So it's like the worst thing. Like sniper said, the one thing you can't do is turn the ball over and turn the ball over in the end zone. It either has to go out of the end zone or you got to hope it goes in the play of field and you guys can make a tackle. It was unbelievable. [00:08:14] Speaker B: My, my condolences to anybody with an NC State ticket last weekend. [00:08:19] Speaker A: Well, I didn't have money on that one, but the North Carolina one definitely stung. I thought I was looking good. Rain delay even doubled up on that game. Put more money into it. Come back. Oh, it's, it's back on. Oh, Clemson caught up. Oh, what? They're up and I'm not gonna even cover anymore. Was not a good loss for me last week. [00:08:41] Speaker B: Yeah, that was the other thing too. The lightning delay. Man, I, you know, you bet that game and then you think you're gonna win and, and then, and then we had, we had to wait like three hours for them to come and, and tear our tickets up for us. [00:08:56] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, it was a nine way. Yeah. Nine o' clock kickoff, it didn't probably finish at what, like 3:30? I mean, like you said, Ro, no one even knew it was on. I don't even know. They put it on like espn, the O show. It was in the O. Yeah, well, [00:09:09] Speaker B: it was funny because everyone had left. If, if you remember in that, that touchdown run, when he ran it in with 40 seconds left, you look up and there was nobody there. The place was empty. They're like, screw this, let's get out of here and go drink beer. They're probably already cut off. [00:09:24] Speaker C: They probably stopped selling. [00:09:26] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. They're like, we ain't waiting for beer. We're out of here. [00:09:30] Speaker C: We're done. This team's not good enough to hang around and wait for anyways, so let's [00:09:35] Speaker A: get out of here. I mean, all the signs are pointing for another UNC victory. So tough one. All right, let's transition over to the NFL. Big weekend slate this weekend. Lots of games, lots of seasons already on the line in week three. Sniper. I'll let you lead us and let us know who you got this weekend and some plays. [00:09:58] Speaker B: Yeah, you know what I like, I kind of like to do? I kind of did this last week. So we probably have maybe, I don't know, 20, 20, 20, 30 some odd more minutes here on the, on the podcast. I kind of like to go over them one by one and just toss it back and forth between me and Aaron and you a little bit. Rome. So we're not going to talk about Thursday because we're shooting this on Thursday this week. By the way, my apologies for not being available yesterday and also being late today. I was a little bit tardy, so my apologies on that. But we should be shooting this on Wednesday moving forward. So maybe we can hit the Thursday games. But today, unfortunately, we cannot. [00:10:30] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:10:30] Speaker B: So we'll start in Washington. We have Seattle at Washington, obviously. Jayden Daniels with the elbow dislocation. He'll be out for a while. Still have, still have backup quarterback in Seattle. Drew Locke. Yeah. Yeah, that's right. I can't believe I spaced out on his name for a second. He's a pretty capable quarterback, man. I mean, he has some good moments. Last week, obviously we have Mariota over there in Washington. What are you feeling in this game? You have any thoughts on this game? [00:11:02] Speaker C: Game? [00:11:02] Speaker B: Aaron [00:11:04] Speaker C: kind of leaning towards the over 40. I mean, I, I like, I mean the commanders. I mean, tough break this last game with Daniels going down like right before the half. But Mariota is more than capable as a quarterback and personally, I agree. I think, I thought true Locked play last week against Arizona was the best game I probably seen him play in the NFL in a long time. I mean, as a guy who's been pretty much a career backup quarterback. But for me, I think I like the over 40. I think Washington can score some points in Seattle. They can get some big plays in the passing game against the suspect secondary. So I actually like over 40. [00:11:38] Speaker B: Yeah, not mad at that. I'll tell you what, if it does go over 40, that will require Washington to score some points because Seattle's not going to do it all the way on their own. Therefore I'll probably take the seven and a half. Man, the way last week went, the dogs were barking last week and you know Mariota is not a bad quarterback. I know Seattle's probably a top three defense in the NFL. I don't have an official play on this game, but if anything I probably lean Washington. Plus the seven and a half we moved to Cleveland, Carolina and Cleveland. I'm taking the Panthers minus the two and a half. I think Cleveland has a big let down here. DeSean Watson plays his first home game. He's probably going to get booed even though he beat the Buccaneers last week. I think that was a one hit wonder this year, so to speak. And I'd probably lay it with Carolina here. What about you guys? [00:12:24] Speaker C: Yeah, I agree. I like Carolina here. I mean the Browns, they showed up. That was another game that had what, two hour lightning weather delay in Tampa. But yeah, I mean I think the Browns, eight and a half, nine point dog. You called that one last week. Sniper. You said you were leaning towards them, but I tend to agree. I think Carolina, Bryce Young, these first two games he's looked really good and unlike Tampa, Carolina really isn't turning the ball over. So I tend to agree here with [00:12:51] Speaker B: the Panthers to play Bryce Young in the contract here too. The guy's gonna get paid, man. He keeps playing like this, he's actually gonna get paid. I remember a lot of people thought he was gonna be a bus, but he looks really, really good. This year we moved to Indianapolis, we got the Texans, the 0 and 2 Texans. What happened to my great defense, man? I thought they were gonna be one of the best defenses in the league. I like them to win this division. They look terrible. CJ Stroud hasn't looked that good. Colts were competitive against the Chiefs, man, they, you know, it's funny with that line. Against the Chiefs they were plus eight and a half all week, had closed at plus six. So there was a lot of sharp action on the Colts late and Justify too because they covered that number in overtime. But I don't know, man, I don't know what to do with this game. I don't really have a thought. You have any, you have any Thoughts, guys? [00:13:36] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean. I mean, I'm seeing the lines at one and a half now. Wasn't it like three to start the week? So, I mean, it looks like the Sharps are coming back down on the Colts again. [00:13:46] Speaker B: I don't think it was there. Go ahead and give us some. Some thoughts. I'm gonna. I'm actually gonna look at that. I'm gonna see where it opened. [00:13:52] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, where I. Where. I bet I. I did see two and a half, three points for a while there at the cold. So I was down to one and a half. I mean, the Texans. Yeah, defensively, I mean, they got. They played pretty well, I thought last week. I mean, they held Cincinnati to 20 points. I mean, Burrow and that Jamar Chase, they got that connection going for a couple scores. But yeah, I mean, for Houston, they score six points. Colts defensively have not been good. I mean, they've given up, what, what, 44 in the opener or 41, whatever it was, and 33 here. So, I mean, that over 42 and a half seems kind of a low number, but we'll see. [00:14:27] Speaker B: Yeah, you know what? It did open a one and a half, but I do see it moved to two and a half for a while, and then now it's back at one and a half. So that's probably when you caught that. Yeah. I don't know what to do with this game, man. I really want to take Houston. Cause I don't think they're as bad as they appear. But I don't know, man. This year has been very, very hard to. To figure out. But let's move on. [00:14:47] Speaker C: Is a bad team in September. They did start owing three last year, so. [00:14:51] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, d'. Ameco. Ryan's will get them right eventually. So we have Bengals and Steelers. The Steelers look absolutely terrible. The Bengals defense, how about that Bengals defense, man, they're. Dexter Lawrence has made a big difference there. And Aaron Rodgers, I mean, I don't know, man. He looks like he's done like a $2 stake. I. I think I gotta. I think I gotta lay it here with Cincy, man. I. There's no. I don't think I could take the points with the Steelers after what I saw last week. What about you? [00:15:21] Speaker C: I've seen nothing from the Steelers right now that would make me pit any money backing them. Three and a half's a tricky number here of the hook, but DK Metcalf, he's gotta lead the league and drops. Aaron Rodgers should have retired after the Texans embarrassed him in that wild card playoff game. So. Yeah, I mean, is that Mike Tomlin on the sidelines? Cause this still looks like the same Steelers team I've seen for the last decade. [00:15:43] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, for me, it's. Bengals are passed for sure. So here is a premium play of mine. I'll give this one out for free. I usually give all my premium plays out for free here on the the Wise Guy Show. So I'm on the Jets. Okay. Jets plus six and a half over the Lions. This game is in Detroit. Keep in mind, Aaron Glenn is going back to where he was a apprentice for Dan Campbell. He was the defensive coordinator there. Very familiar with that team in that building. And Gino has not played bad, guys. He hasn't played bad. He hasn't thrown an interception this year. I don't think he has. At least I think I looked earlier. I don't think he has. And he's kept his teams competitive. They, you know, they very well could be two and, oh, right now, they didn't lose an overtime to the Packers. Detroit, they just got beat by Buffalo pretty bad. I get that they've had, you know, extra rest and everything because they played last Thursday night, but I think the jets can hang tough here, man, I really do. Detroit is so banged up on defensive, Geno Smith is going to have a big day any week this week or any week this year. If he's going to have a big week, any week this year, it's got to be against the Lions because the Lions cannot play defense. [00:16:53] Speaker C: Yeah, for me, it's either jets or no play here. I mean, six and a half is a good number. Erin Glenn, he'll want to go in there, get the job done, get a win. Detroit, first two games, defensively, they look like a mess. They gave up. Josh Allen looked great. Tyler Schuck looked great. Gino, like you mentioned, sniper. He's playing pretty well. I would lean towards the jets here as well. [00:17:15] Speaker B: Tennessee and the New York Giants. Jackson Dart gone for the year. They are stuck officially with Jameis Winston. My apologies for that. New York and John Harbo especially, man, he's got to be like, man, what did I sign up for? There was some talk about trying to get J.J. mcCarthy from the Vikings, but honestly, I think Jameis Winston's better than J.J. mcCarthy. That guy looked terrible in preseason. So I think you just ride it out with Jameis, man. You just kind of like, you know, throw in the towel, as they say, and realize you're going to be a six win team or something like that and you get a, you know, another high draft pick. The question is you're going to wait for Jackson Dart to get healthy and let him start again next year. You're going to start over already and go get another quarterback next year. I don't know. Tennessee, they were pretty impressive against the Eagles. They could have won that game. By the way, I had the Eagles and Survivor last week, so, you know, by. Barely got by there. [00:18:08] Speaker A: Nice. [00:18:10] Speaker B: But no, I have no idea. Well, I don't know. I'd probably take the Giants if anything. Lay the two and a half. Maybe Jameis can spark some energy there. I don't know. It's probably a pass for me. What do you think? [00:18:19] Speaker A: I think. I think James is going to show out this week. Maybe three touchdowns, two interceptions, 300 yards. [00:18:28] Speaker C: Lock it in yards. Wow. So that's a big showing out. I mean. Yeah. For the Giants. Yeah, I mean, I heard the same. Jj they're kind of spinning the wheels on that. But do you really want to bring in two first round quarterbacks and have them competing next year for a job? And dart, I mean, Dart looked pretty good. Week one, we didn't get to see anything Week two because he got hurt when like the fifth play in the first drive of that game. That kind of, that kind of just one. Once your quarterback goes down, the team spirit goes down. They never had a chance really against the Rams. This is the first road game for the Titans and Solo and those guys. So I would tend to take the home team here as well. Scatter. Boo. And those guys got to come up. They got to get the run game going for the Giants. Take some pressure off of Winston. [00:19:08] Speaker B: Patriots, Jaguars. Love the over here. We're sitting at 45 and a half. I think this is a shootout. Remember last week New England put up a bunch of points and I was on the Patriots. Steelers over. Problem was the Steelers didn't show up. So I lost that. That was actually my biggest play of the week last week and it went down in flames because Aaron Rodgers cannot quarterback anymore. But I think New England's going to put up points here. I know AJ Brown is still out. Jacksonville, they lost at Denver, but the week before they put up like a million against the Browns. And you know, the Browns actually, to be honest with you, they have a pretty good defense. So that was kind of impressive. Looking back on that, love the over here. I think New England's going to be able to run the ball. I think Jacksonville moves the ball up and down the field. Give me the over 45 and a half. Yeah. [00:19:55] Speaker C: I mean, look, the Jaguars, Week one looked pretty good offensively. Week two struggled a little bit at Denver, but that was expected. The Broncos are gonna have a bounce back game after that showing on Monday Night. Patriots. Drake May, they're still trying to figure some stuff out, but they did get Trayvon Henderson back last week. He had a good game for me. I really don't have a side or play right now on this one. It should be one of the better teams matchups here in the AFC this week. Two teams that could be competing for a playoff spot. So we'll, we'll see what happens there. But for me, the team that likely wins this game is the quarterback who doesn't turn the ball over. Drake Mays had a few turnovers, especially three in the first game. Trevor Lawrence had a bad pick that led to Denver kind of getting momentum coming back and winning that one. So ball control will be a big key in this game for whoever's going to win. [00:20:41] Speaker B: Chargers, Bills. What happened to her? San Diego slash. LA slash. Orange County Chargers. I don't even know what to call them anymore. But I'll tell you what. So the NFL, as wild as the NFL was in week two, how insane would it be if the Chargers went to Buffalo and won this game? I mean, the Bills are the best team in the NFL. The Chargers are terrible. They lost the Raiders and Cardinals and then they go beat the Bills. That is exactly what the NFL is made of. Am I saying that's what's going to happen? Absolutely not. But I probably would take the Chargers plus the seven and a half here, to be honest with you. I think they play a lot better. Maybe the Bills have a letdown after the two, you know, big, you know, wins. Maybe they're drinking that Kool Aid that public is feeding them. No official play, but it's. Chargers are pass at plus seven and a half for me. [00:21:34] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, the Chargers have looked abysmal here the first two weeks. Now that was at home. They travel on the road. Buffalo, look, they got the new High mark stadium there. I, I think Buffalo's goal this year internally is not to lose any home games. They want to get the number one seed, host a playoff game and kind of have that or of not losing a game at home. So I just don't see the Bills losing this game or maybe even losing the game all season at home. That's going to be kind of their hallmark. It's like, hey, we want to protect this stadium, make it our new holy ground in Buffalo and Josh Allen and crew should take care of a Chargers team that comes in limping, that's for sure. [00:22:11] Speaker B: Yeah, they decided not to build the retractable roof there in Buffalo. They wanted a home field advantage and we'll see if that'll help them later in the year. Kansas City and Miami. This could have been a survivor play for me. I ultimately went a different direction, but it is the biggest spread of the week. Kansas City Land, 10 and a half over the Miami Dolphins. Miami looks terrible. Kansas City looks pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good. As Larry David would say, if you're a curb your enthusiasm fan, I don't know, a chief surpass. I don't know if I could take the Dolphins, Aaron. I don't know if I have the heart to do it. Even at ten and a half, I don't think I could do it. It's Chiefs or pass. [00:22:49] Speaker C: I agree. I don't. I've seen nothing from the Dolphins to suggest. I mean, they were basically on the west coast there for two weeks after playing the Raiders. Staying on the west coast, played the Niners. They have not looked good. I mean, they're still flying home when the Chiefs are celebrating an overtime victory against the Colts. So for me, it's either the Chiefs or a no play here. [00:23:09] Speaker B: Minnesota, Tampa. This is actually a later game. We're at the. The one. Well, it's 4pm Eastern and 1pm Pacific. The later slate. Vikings in Tampa. You know, it's always funny. Aaron, maybe you can help answer this for me. They always take some east coast games and make them later. Like why isn't this an early game? It's in Tampa, but they decided to make it later. The Raiders and Saints, which we'll talk about in a minute. It's the. Usually the Saints get the morning game if it's in New Orleans, but they moved it to the later slate. I don't know how they. I don't know, maybe there's like conflicts the night before, like a concert at the venue or something. [00:23:46] Speaker C: Well, it's interesting because you point that out and then they've got Seattle and the Chargers both traveling, you know, west to east, have 10 o' clock kickoffs our time. [00:23:54] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:23:54] Speaker C: So they didn't, they didn't do those teams any favors with these early kickoffs. So. Yeah, yeah. I mean, but Tampa always kind of seems like that team that, you know, they used to always have those afternoon battles against. Far from the packers back in the day, it always seemed to be a prime time Fox game. So maybe, maybe Fox is Still hoping for something here. [00:24:13] Speaker B: Yeah. So we get Kyler Murray back, right? And going against Tampa. Tampa 0 and 2. They got to get a win here, right there at home. Interesting. Tampa's a dog at home here. Plus one and a half against Kyler Murray. What's Kyler Murray ever done in his career other than get hurt and play video games? I mean, he. He does have some talent. He's actually had a couple years where he's put up some good numbers there in Arizona. I'm actually going to be interested to see how he plays, whether the office is going to really click with him, because I think Carson Wentz is. You know, he got him two wins, but how many points did he put up last week? What? They. Nine. [00:24:46] Speaker C: They had 99. [00:24:47] Speaker B: So, man, this is a tough one to call, man. It's probably just pass on. I mean, it's probably Tampa or pass. Because if Tampa goes Owen three, man, that's. That's. They can't go. Oh, and three. [00:25:00] Speaker A: It's just a must win. [00:25:02] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:25:04] Speaker C: Yeah, must win. Kyler Murray, I mean, what do you play? 11 snaps against Green Bay. But he did not look good. So we'll see. I mean, I agree. I mean, Tampa has really struggled turning the ball over. They broke a lot of people's hearts in the Survivor last week losing to the Browns. Yeah, it might be a good bounce back spot for them. [00:25:23] Speaker B: Yeah. Arizona, San Francisco. This is my survivor play this week. I'm taking the 49ers instead of the Chiefs. I don't know. I could have taken the Chiefs and to be honest, I have just as much confidence in both teams. But I just looked ahead at the chief schedule and I feel like the Chiefs have more playable positions in the future than the Niners do. And the Niners look good, man. Brock Purdy looks really good. Mike Evans is doing his thing. McCaffrey, I mean, they're clicking on all cylinders. Kittle, too. Arizona. That week one victory over the Chargers was impressive last week. You know, regression to the mean. But you're playing the Seahawks, the defending champions. But eight and a half points here, no real lean. That's a lot of points. Do the Cardinals bounce back after last week? I don't know. I. It'd probably be Niners or Pass, but no real opinion. [00:26:13] Speaker C: Yeah, that's a tough game to call. I mean, the Niners have looked great. They've won the first two games, but by 20 points. I mean, I think they won 35, 13 against the Dolphins, a 27, 7 against the Rams. Arizona, as you Mentioned played great week one, obviously. Week two, Seattle kind of off that mini buy. 10 days just kind of overwhelmed them. Divisional game here. I think Arizona is going to play better. The Niners, they kind of come back to life. Just been blowing people out. They've been looking great. So, yeah, it's an interesting game. It's a high number. I mean, eight and a half is a high number. I would probably would expect it to see this closer to like six and a half, seven. But yeah, I mean, the Niners, I think is a pretty good survivor play. They're. They're on my radar as possible play as well as the Chiefs. So, yeah, those are kind of the top two ones that people are kind of looking at across the board. [00:27:00] Speaker B: All right, we got to hear from Rome because, you know, it's right in his backyard. What do you think about your Niners this week? Rome? [00:27:06] Speaker A: I like him. I think Brock Birdie is playing phenomenal. I was going to release my quarterback rankings before the season started, but got a little bogged down. Aaron. And so were you, actually, when we were hanging out by the pool. We're talking shit. That Brock Purdy pretty high on my rankings and now he's proven self pretty valuable. I think he's done a phenomenal job and we'll see how it keeps on going. [00:27:30] Speaker B: Yeah. Hey, all credit to him and to you. Yeah, I. Yeah, he's having a good year so far. Year still early. We're only. Only two games. Only two games in the rearview mirror right now. So we'll see what happens. But I like Purdy, man. It's a great story. Mr. Irrelevant shows up plays. Well, let me tell you something. The only reason John lynch still has a job is because of Brock Purdy. Because he drafted Trey Lance. He drafted Trey Lance and that didn't go so well. They kind of lucked into ruck at Brock Purdy there. [00:28:01] Speaker A: A lot of their draft picks have been misses, actually. [00:28:04] Speaker C: He'll be out and their home runs are complete misses or whiffs. That's kind of what they've done there. [00:28:09] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:28:09] Speaker B: Yeah. So we get to my biggest play of the week. We get the Raiders and the Saints here and give me the over. I think it's a shootout. Tyler Shug has been putting up monster numbers going up and down the field. His chemistry with Olave has been fantastic. Olavi's having a really good year. If you want a little prop to sprinkle and I don't know what the number is, but Chris Olave to. To lead the NFL and Receiving yards. Not mad at it. I think you can. My buddy was telling me about it last week. I think you could still get that something like 15 to 1, maybe 20 to 1. Chris Olati to lead the NFL in receiving yards. But I. And the Raiders too, you know, Cousins, they look not bad, man. They've. They're, you know, moving the ball up and down the field. I think we might get Brock Bowers back this week, too, which is a big deal for that Raider offense. And this Saints team, it just seems like they. They don't start playing till after halftime. I think they. That are, you know, still. [00:29:08] Speaker C: I think that's why they're playing at 130. I think that's why they're playing at 130. They want to be awake for this game. You want to make sure the over gets in. [00:29:16] Speaker B: Yeah, there you go. So, yeah, I like a lot of points here in this game. [00:29:20] Speaker C: Yeah, it sounds like Bowers is going to probably be back, you know, not significantly sure if he is. I mean, he's got a few limited practices in, but yeah, I mean, the Saints, you know, sniper touched on first half, non existent second half. They're like the best team in the NFL. Raiders, you know, Kirk Cousins putting up some good numbers. They've got the run game going as well. Their defense is creating some turnovers. I mean, they forced six fumbles against the Chargers last week, only got one of them. So I mean, yeah, this should be. Look, those new games in New Orleans, there's always some weird stuff that goes on down there, like, you know, some fluky stuff where punt return gets mobbed, fumbled return, whatever. But yeah, I mean, over 43 and a half, I could see the saints easily getting 28 themselves in this game. So that's, that's more than reasonable. [00:30:07] Speaker B: All right, we head to Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, we get. We have already had the international games, man. We're starting week three this year with the international games. This will be at the, you know, the 4pm Eastern hour, the 1pm Pacific hour. They're not doing it, you know, as prime time. But yeah, Baltimore and Dallas Here, obviously Baltimore 1 and 1, Dallas 1 and 1. And, you know, offense came alive for the Cowboys last week. CD Lamb having a really good year. Dak kind of looks like he figured out some things last week. Baltimore wheels fell off, man. Wheels fell off against the Saints there. I kind of like Dallas, man. So the line, you can find some three and a halfs out there. Still looks like BET MGM still has a three and a half. I Think there's a couple three and a half out there. If you get the three and a half. I really like the Cowboys a lot. I don't really. I mean three is obviously a put. You, you want to get the hook there, right. But I think Dallas can hang with Baltimore. What's Baltimore do? They, they can't stop anybody. Jesse Minter supposed to be a defensive court, you know, guru or whatnot. They brought him in and their defense had more holes than Swiss cheese. They couldn't stop a runny nose last week. So it's Cowboys. If you can find the three and a half. I'm on D us here. [00:31:23] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean for me it's. I've got really no lean here. I mean this is an interesting game. You got the Cowboys coming in. Dak became the all time Cowboys passing touchdown leader passing the great Tony Romo last week. CD Lamb. Good game. The Ravens. Yeah, I mean last week, I mean it's, you know, Rome, you mentioned it kind of back to the old John Harold have a fourth quarter lead blow that game. So not much has changed over there. But yeah, I mean for the Ravens they're just really Jack on high. You don't know where you're gonna get week to week from them. It seems like here and Jesse Mentor, you know that defense is going to take time to figure out what they got to do second year in the system. Dak and that offense, you know, George Pickett's has been quiet. He's been quiet. It's a contract year for him. He's on a franchise tag. So this might be a game for him against those smaller cornerbacks that the Ravens have to have a nice game. Safe Flowers likely not going to play again which could really hurt Baltimore. It did this last game against the Saints. So yeah, I would tend to lean towards Cowboys here getting points in a neutral site game. They can keep up with the Ravens. [00:32:27] Speaker B: Yeah, keep. Yeah. Keep in mind too the neutral site game, the field conditions. It always seems like whenever they play these games in different countries, you know, players slept. You're just bad feel it's not a football field, you know, it's a. So it's a pitch. So soccer pitch. Right. So keep an eye on the field conditions. Also keep an eye on the weather. Who knows what the weather's going to be like in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday. It could be pouring rain for all we know. So maybe you know, take a look at the under if there's some bad weather there. Actually that, that, that total's 52 and a half. Holy moly. [00:32:58] Speaker C: Really high total. [00:32:59] Speaker A: I mean, that's a high one. And then also Ravens, they're down on their tight ends. Lots of entries. They didn't really give it to Henry a lot, too much in the second half. And I feel like that kind of led to the. Their collapse in the last game. I think they're going to be run heavy for this one, but I think Ravens lead in the fourth quarter. Cowboys come back from behind. You get three and a half points to go with it. That might be a pretty good play. [00:33:22] Speaker B: Yeah, there you go. We have the nightcap on Sunday. We have the Rams at the Broncos in the altitude. Rams obviously have very impressive win over the Giants even though Jackson Dart didn't play the whole game. I feel. I just feel like even if Jackson Dart had played the whole game, I mean, the Giants, they probably would have scored more points. But I. I have a feeling the Rams are going to blow out the Giants no matter what happened that night. It's just a gut feeling I have. We might get Puka back. Keep in mind, the Rams might have Puka Nakua back here. And Stafford looked like his old self. They have Aaron, obviously still no Miles Garrett, but Aaron Donald looked like he got his feet under him a little bit there. They are going to the altitude, which is always a little bit of a thing. Denver, they took care of Jacksonville last. Bo Nix, he looked better in the second half than he did the first or especially in that first game against the Chiefs. I'm going Rams here taking a rant. If you're giving me two and a half, I'll lay the two and a half. Take the Rams by field goal. I would not take them at three. You know, you had a push at three. Definitely not taking them. If it gets up to three and a half, I don't think it will. I think it'll stay at two and a half. So give me the Rams minus two and a half. [00:34:30] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't think the line's going to go up any higher. I mean. Yeah, I mean, I agree. I think the Rams would have blown out the Giants regardless of the Dart injury. Aaron Donald coming back. That place was fired up. Broncos got a much, much needed win after that disaster of a game they had Monday night against our Sunday. Yeah, Monday, I guess the Chiefs the week before. You know, Denver's kind of one of those weird teams where they seem to always come back in the fourth quarter. That's kind of been their M.O. you know, Puka, that's a real question mark. If Puka plays. I think the Rams are a solid play. If not, I kind of lean more towards Denver. So I. I'd keep an eye on that final injury report to see if he can show up and play. [00:35:10] Speaker B: We get the Monday Night Football end of week three. We got the Eagles and the Bears here. Obviously we have no Caleb Williams. I hear that. I think that it's Case Keenum. Yeah, Case Keenum is going to be starting here and he actually played since what, 2023? Yeah, I was gonna say he hasn't played in quite a while, so it'll be interesting to see if he still has any gas in the tank. Philly, you know, they almost took me out with the survivor. I was on them Survivor and luckily they me that dub last week. That was a very, very scary survivor selection. But, you know, they really miss A.J. brown. I think, you know, I. I know you still have, you know, Devonta Smith, Makai Lemon, who hasn't done that much yet, and they have another pretty good receiver there too. But you know, A.J. they're not A.J. brown. A.J. brown, just super explosive. Saquon. I think Saquon got. Yeah, Saquon did. He went out like the first quarter or something. I don't even think he played. He got hurt and went out last week, so we'll see if he comes back. I don't have any real opinion, to be honest. I almost like the Underman and it's a very low total. 41. I probably look toward the under. Obviously the Bears couldn't even score with Caleb Williams last week. How they're going to score with Case Keenum. [00:36:28] Speaker A: Right. [00:36:28] Speaker B: And also keep a. An eye on the weather in this game. That's why it was so low scoring last week, because it was raining. Right. So no opinion really for me here. [00:36:37] Speaker C: Yeah, we had the, the rainfall all game in that one. Yeah. I don't see how with Case Keenum not playing since 2023, you could really back the Bears here. I mean, they've got injuries along their offensive line as well. Remember, they embarrassed the Eagles on that. Was it Black Friday last year, Thanksgiving, where they just ran the ball for like 200 plus yards. [00:36:59] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:37:00] Speaker C: And I think, I think Philly's going to come out motivated. This is a nice chance to get a road win against a team that's out their first and second string quarterback. You can't blow opportunities in the NFL, especially in conference games when it comes down to home field. So for me, I think. I think Philly takes care of business here and finds a way to win. [00:37:18] Speaker B: That'll do it, Rome. I think we covered every single NFL game. Gave out a couple college plays. Take it to the bank. Ladies and gentlemen, the Sofa. Wise guys. [00:37:29] Speaker A: Impressed?
