[00:00:04] Speaker A: What's up everybody? This is sources from the sofa. This is Rome, we got Aaron, we got Jason. Full starting lineup tonight. We're recording post that beautiful packers meltdown on Thursday Night Football on Amazon. It was a sight to behold as the Atlanta penix. I'm already fumbling it. [00:00:34] Speaker B: You weren't even close. I don't even know what train you're going for. [00:00:37] Speaker C: I, I don't know what you got going on over there, Rome. I mean was it, was it Monday we recorded. He was talking about hot coaches. Now he's talking about. I don't even know what that's true. [00:00:46] Speaker B: Yeah, he was doing. Are you posting that on the Instagram page? Your hot coaches power ranking? [00:00:53] Speaker A: I'm not doing that, dude. I might, I don't know. We'll see. [00:00:56] Speaker C: I'm sure girls out there that are curious what you think about the coaches out there Realm. [00:01:02] Speaker A: I'm not attracted to any coaches. I think I'm good on that one. You could do it though. [00:01:07] Speaker B: Aaron thinks LaFleur is less attractive after their performance tonight. [00:01:11] Speaker A: Oh, 100. Yeah. [00:01:12] Speaker C: He looked a little gray in the beard. What I saw. So definitely true. [00:01:15] Speaker A: Yeah, I used to flaunt how, how good looking Leflore was and we haven't heard that in a while. [00:01:21] Speaker C: Hey, when you're losing, nothing looks good, man. [00:01:23] Speaker A: Wow, jumping ship again. Jumping ship again. We don't need to talk about the game. I was really impressed with Pennix though. Thought he did pretty decent. Bijan Robinson had some big runs, especially that one. I think it was in the second quarter where he just missed and bounced off a whole bunch of guys for like a what, 60, 70 yard gain. That was beautiful. All the way down inside the five yard line. I think surprise. The halftime deficit and then I didn't finish the final fourth quarter. I was just getting a quick workout in. Figured that was time better spent. Thoughts on that game? Real quick. Solid stuff. [00:02:04] Speaker B: I mean from a running game obviously we just keep talking about in the glaring hole in the packers backfield and that's you know, continue to be talked about there. But Aaron brought it up as we before you're recording tonight like the packers offensive line and their inability to protect Jordan Love and the broadcast continually talk about it, how, how great Jordan Love is with a clean pocket. Which is always funny to me when they talk about that because yeah, I'm sure a lot of quarterbacks are great with a clean pocket but Jordan Love, I, I, you know I said this on last year's pod quite a bit where I said Jordan Love got a little Will Levis in him and man, there was one play in the fourth quarter where he was like going to his right and then like threw like a lateral behind the thing past that. I don't know. It might have been intercepted. Like at certain point it was one of. It was an atrocious throw and decision. But yeah, I mean, packers overall haven't looked good. You got to tip your hat to Aaron. If you've listened to our season preview. Aaron, I think he's still a Packers fan. I'm not sure, you know, or he was just a Brett Favre fan. But Aaron's the one who called it at the beginning that the packers were going to be the weak league in this NFC north and Rome, and I did not see that. For me, I'm probably biased because my entire life the packers have just haunted me and, and I just have. I've only known them being great during the regular season, but man, I mean, they're lucky to be one and two right now, to be honest with you. They should be.03. I thought this was definitely going to be. After two bad performances on the road. They're coming to their season opener. It's on Thursday Night Football. They're going to have the crowd behind them. The Falcons haven't looked pretty impressive and man, like couldn't protect the quarterback and they just allowed the Atlanta running game to run all over them. So I mean, the packers, they're in a lot of hurt, man. I mean, I mean, luckily the NFC north that Aaron and I have have propped up as the best division in football, I, I hasn't looked great. Bears, obviously not great last week. Lions, they look lost in certain areas the of their games and the Vikings look potentially the most complete team. But the packers, you know, they better be careful here because I mean, they're going to be. I mean, Aaron, you predicted them fourth, didn't you, in the division. [00:04:03] Speaker C: I did, I did. Said they finished last and I stand by that. I do. [00:04:08] Speaker A: Yeah, I actually have those. Let's see, what. [00:04:11] Speaker C: Do you have released that preview yet? I mean, he keeps telling me every week like, hey, I'm gonna get it out, I'm gonna get it out. Maybe I'll save it. I think he's waiting to see if his predictions are good, bad or indifferent. Who knows? [00:04:22] Speaker A: Mine are pretty on point usually. I'm not worried about that. But yeah, you had the, you had them under four wins, actually. No, no, no. [00:04:33] Speaker C: I mean, geez. Pretty accurate. You know, it's not gonna start taking my own Notes here. [00:04:38] Speaker B: That's why it'll never be released. He's just gonna make up his own whatever we said predictions right now. [00:04:42] Speaker C: I think rome's got like 20 different notebooks there, and whatever one fits the narrative that week, he pulls it out. [00:04:49] Speaker A: Ah, you guys are funny. [00:04:50] Speaker C: Remember, he's like, hey, every time he comes over here, he asked for like four new notepads every time he's over at my place. So I don't know what he's doing with them. [00:04:58] Speaker A: But that's so many, dude. And I just don't see you taking a lot of notes. [00:05:02] Speaker C: Hey, man, I got notes, man. It's always here, bro. You know, you got to pay to see, man. It's like it only fans. These notes you got to pay to see. [00:05:11] Speaker A: 100%, I guess. No, yeah, you did have them last. The over under was nine wins for them. So tough start of the season. But we'll see, though. Mika Parsons, Michael Parsons, he comes back second, third week of October, so we're not too far away from there. [00:05:29] Speaker C: That court case, the funny thing is with the packers are. What are they, like 1 and 6? About Micah Parsons in the lineup since he got hurt dating back to last join the team. [00:05:39] Speaker A: It's really weird. It's like they just lost a part of their soul. [00:05:43] Speaker B: The jets win last week was their only win. They had lost really the 55 straight or whatever prior to that. [00:05:50] Speaker A: Yeah, not good. But Christian Watson started me strong this week. I'm pretty happy for my fantasy team. [00:05:57] Speaker C: So I will say the packers do. There are some good things that have come out of this season so far for the Packers. I mean, the run game is terrible. Nine carries for 17 yards. I mean, that's. That's God awful. We touched on it. The offensive line is really, really bad. But if there is one bright spot. Matthew Golden. This guy looks a lot better in year two than when he showed up in year one. So it looks like they've finally found a number one and two wide receiver in Watson. And Golden. Yeah, Craft. Coming off that ACL tear, he still doesn't look right. [00:06:26] Speaker A: So recovering. [00:06:27] Speaker C: So. But you know Josh Jacobs, Golden. I've done well. Yeah. I don't even think Josh Jacobs is going to get cleared to play because I don't even know when his court date is. [00:06:36] Speaker A: Oh, and they're not stealing those documents. I think it's going to be pretty ugly. I don't know all the details of the. [00:06:41] Speaker C: Of the. Of the court case. [00:06:42] Speaker A: I kind of want to dig into it. Unless you guys want to spill into it. But. [00:06:45] Speaker C: No, I mean, this year, you know, I. I guess. [00:06:48] Speaker B: I mean, there are sources saying that the video. They have videos out there and it's worse than Ray Rice. [00:06:54] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [00:06:55] Speaker A: He's not gonna play this year. [00:06:56] Speaker C: That's the case. [00:06:57] Speaker A: That might be. [00:06:58] Speaker C: You gotta. You gotta take a plea deal asap. [00:07:00] Speaker A: Oh, man. [00:07:02] Speaker B: Whatever. It could be, but I don't think he's playing. [00:07:04] Speaker A: Yeah. All right. That's safe to say. I think we can. You know what? If I would have known that, I would have probably said fourth in the division, too. That's. That's pretty tough. Love doesn't look good. Laflor looks scared. This team is tanking and it's taking hard. [00:07:19] Speaker B: Aaron. [00:07:19] Speaker A: I feel bad, man. Do you have a winning team right now? [00:07:22] Speaker C: Yes, the Atlanta Braves. Rome. Okay. [00:07:24] Speaker A: That's right. Okay. That's right. Yeah, they're doing pretty well. They're doing pretty well. I don't want to jinx baseball yet. By the way, I do have a guest lined up to talk some baseball when we get there in the next week or so, so I'm pretty excited. [00:07:35] Speaker C: Does it happen to rhyme with a Manning? [00:07:38] Speaker A: I don't know. [00:07:40] Speaker C: I mean, you told me some guy named Eli was ready to come on, so. [00:07:43] Speaker A: Maybe, maybe, but. But Eli does not rhyme with Manning, though. [00:07:47] Speaker C: But Eli Manning, you know. [00:07:48] Speaker A: Yeah, no, no, I get. Just saying, but. Yeah, yeah, possibly him. We'll see his pre. Yeah. Anyways, let's get into it. Lines of the guys. Week three, we have a full slate big games. Just the start of a tough six, seven week stretch for about three or four of these teams as well, about seven super bowl contenders. And they all got to show up in the next month and a half. So. Different than years past because typically, you know, it takes us a while to find out who's there and. And we're gonna. Everyone's gonna beat up on each other this year, so. Gonna be pretty exciting. Let's start off with Sunday morning Seahawks Commanders. Seahawks favorite by seven and a half on the road over under 40. Jason? [00:08:37] Speaker B: Yeah, I was. It's a big line, but, man, I just, you know, me, I've been negative about the Commanders for. For two years now, and now you aren't going to have Jaden Daniels in the lineup. Mario is. Mario is a starter. [00:08:51] Speaker C: Right? [00:08:51] Speaker B: Is that. They named him officially the starter? I mean, the Seahawks themselves are coming in with a backup quarterback, but, I mean, they seem to be not skipping. [00:09:03] Speaker A: There's a 50, 50 chance right now. We'll find out Friday. [00:09:05] Speaker B: I Mean, I think regardless, the Seahawks, like, understand where they're at and Lock's been able to successfully, you know, utilize the running game. And I mean, obviously Jackson, Smith and Jigba out there, man, he just. You could just chuck the ball. This guy might be the best wide receiver in football right now. It's a big line, a little bit of a risk, but with them playing Mariota and I just think the commander is overall a little bit lost. I'll take the Seahawks minus seven and a half. Wow. [00:09:30] Speaker A: Okay, Aaron. [00:09:31] Speaker C: Yeah, it's a big number. I mean, look, the Seahawks coming off an impressive win against Arizona, but they're traveling. We always talk about the west to east travel. Seahawks here. 10:00am kickoff. This is the Commander's opening game. I think the commanders are a little bit better than people think. They had a chance to beat the Eagles. They lost their quarterback late there right before the half and kind of fell apart. Second half against the Cowboys. I think if you're looking for another sneaky upset, I think the commanders can get an upset. I'm not saying they will, but I think they have a shot. I like them to cover seven and a half. I think this is going to be a close game. Seattle travels, like I said, to Arizona, then back to Seattle. Seattle now to D.C. travel is going to be tough. First half Commanders might be able to take advantage of this game. Seattle rallies late, but I like. I like Washington seven and a half here. [00:10:20] Speaker A: Yeah, I kind of went back and forth. Lock, he has the best passer rating right now as well as qbr. Really efficient. And he's also one of the leaders, too. And pass yards just done phenomenal. Kind of like what Mac Jones did last year. I think this would be more of like a. An emotional game for the commander. So you're going to give me seven and a half. Nice little hook. I think they're going to come out with a lot of heart on this game. They do got some talent there, too. And we, you know, I think. I think me and you, Aaron, we were a little up on what they had, like a little bounce back here. It's tough losing Daniels to the same elbow injury that's been plugging him now for two seasons. But I think Mariota does enough to keep them within reach. I like them with the seven and a half points, so I'm gonna go with you on that one. Next game, Bengals Steelers. I don't even want to talk about the Steelers anymore this season. I think I'm pretty much tapped out. I think me and Aaron already Done the year, Jason. So it's all, it's all up to you now that you're recovering from your season ending injury. Bengals here by three and a half on the road in Pittsburgh. 42 and a half over under. Sorry, Aaron. [00:11:31] Speaker C: Yeah, Rome, I mean, I think you said it best. I mean, there's not a lot to like about the Steelers. I mean, can they pull what the Falcons did today and pull an upset and kind of, you know, get that offense going? I mean, there's been probably the worst two teams in the league. You know, they played week one. It was an ugly game. You know, you had T.J. watt with that pick six. If they don't get that, who knows what happens. That game could have gone either way. Cincinnati, I mean, Joe Burrow, these guys, the defense has been the key for them. So you got a defense that's playing really well against an offense that's not. Can DK Metcalf actually catch the ball? We'll find out on Sunday. Pittman is back, but the running game for Pittsburgh is bad. There's just a lot of dysfunction there right now. I mean, three and a half, you typically would say, hey, give me the home team of the hook, the Steelers, but I'm not, I'm going to take the Bengals here. I'm going to ride Joe, Chase, Higgins, those guys to get the job done. So Bengals minus three and a half for me. [00:12:26] Speaker A: Jason? [00:12:28] Speaker B: Yeah, I can agree with Aaron. He mentioned the Bengals defense. You know, you think about the Bengals defense of the past couple years. They had Hendrickson up front and it was just, you know, open lanes for everyone previously and they've looked really good the past couple weeks defensively to open the season. And the Bengals, they want to come out to the hot start. They don't want to be, you know, 2 and 8 or 4 and 8 or whatever it is, chasing again, the Steelers. I mean, Aaron mentioned all the things that's not to like and I think, I think the post game press conference we talked about on Monday's pod right now with Aaron Rodgers, man, I just. The dysfunction around that team and where things are at, just don't like it any part of it. I think this is almost the same team last year with a different coach. And I think the Bengals really got a lot to prove this season. So I'll go with Aaron at -3 and a half of the Bengals as well. [00:13:12] Speaker A: I mean, there's no Kumbaya moment with these two. McCarthy and Rodgers. That's why Rogers got him kicked out of Green Bay. Even Though they had a lot of success together, Rogers had more success with Green Bay's current coach, but could never win the Super Bowl. It's just weird. But they're at home and they play like dog already for two weeks. I think they're gonna have a bounce back game. I'm hoping, I'm pleading that they're gonna have a bounce back game. I think Metcalf catches eighth throw or two. He's had so many drops this year. I think he might have had the most drops in the NFL. [00:13:47] Speaker C: I think he has more running catches Rome this year. [00:13:49] Speaker A: Yeah, but he's. You see how ripped he is. [00:13:52] Speaker C: Yeah. It's really amazing to bring that fan back from Detroit to talk to him again, get that, get him worked back up again, get him focused. [00:14:00] Speaker A: I think so. I think so. Just Castillo's on my team. I'm not going to lose hope yet. Not yet. I might be pissed, but I'll take them with the three and a half points. I'm not confident that they are going to win. I, I, you know, Joe Burrow and company they're not even clicking yet and they look pretty good and they're in my power rankings top eight. Check it out on Instagram X and on Facebook. It's already up. Results come up the week after. So the week two rankings are out there already. Next game, Jets Lions. Lions favored by six and a half at home, 47 and a half over under Jason. [00:14:38] Speaker B: Yeah, for this one. The jets have looked probably better than expected this entire season. And I just don't trust the Lions have really gotten this offense together like it was in previous years. You still have a lot of questions in the post Ben Johnson era and what Dan Campbell's be able to do. I, it's, it's a lot of points but on the road. But I think the jets can keep this game close. And I'll take the jets plus six and a half. [00:15:05] Speaker A: Wow. Wow. All right, Aaron. [00:15:08] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm going to jump on board of Jason here. Look, six and a half's a lot of points. Aaron Glenn going back there again. You know, he was a defensive coordinator so he kind of knows this offensive personnel. You know, all camp they're going against each other. First unit defense, first unit offense. The jets here. The key is Geno Smith's play pretty well. He's not turning the ball over. The jets have got a good running game and they've actually got a number two wide receiver in Mitchell to go along with Wilson. So I. Six and a half. That's a Lot. The Lions defense has really, really not impressed me these first two games. The offense seems to be okay, but it's, you know, that mystique that or that the Lions had. You know, people talk about your window closing. They lost a lot of good coaches, whether it be coordinators and assistants along the ways. Jets keep it close. Lions probably win, but I'll take the jets getting six and a half. [00:15:58] Speaker A: Nice. I'm going to go opposite here. You know, Campbell came out pretty passionately post game talking about how they got to correct a lot of things. Offense is still humming along, man. They were still top five in the league last year. I think the defense is going to take some time to kind of gel. But these coordinators, especially on the defensive end, he better shape up really quickly because Campbell, I think he might be firing someone again, you know, within week six, seven. I think they have a bounce back week. The, the defense response puts the jets in check and they win by at least a touchdown. So I got them going. [00:16:34] Speaker C: I, I'm curious. Rome, you said Campbell might fire another coordinator like he did last year. He's going to take over defensive play calling duties when they play like the Browns or somebody, somebody they can score. And he looks great. Like, you know, the first game as OC last year he dropped like 50 and then they couldn't, you know, get more than 20 the rest of the way. [00:16:50] Speaker A: Well, no, they, well, it was like back and forth. One great game, one bad game, one great game. It went back and forth for a little bit, but maybe, I don't know, who knows. But that's what it might be looking like. [00:17:00] Speaker C: But I mean, the Lions, I mean, correct me, I'm wrong, Jason, I mean, I, I think they're missing like all four starters in their secondary so far to start this year. I mean, they got guys that are out. [00:17:09] Speaker B: Yeah, they're. I, I don't know how many they're missing, but yeah, they're basically playing with a bunch of guys that are like fringe NFL, like backups basically. Right now is, is a lot of what people are talking about. [00:17:21] Speaker C: I mean, arguably their best defensive back that was healthy. They released him in the off season after the kidnapping charges or whatever he had got going on Seattle's practice squad. [00:17:31] Speaker A: I thought they should have kept him, but yeah, you know, they're definitely missing. [00:17:34] Speaker C: He's on the commission exempt list anyway, so it's not like he'd be able [00:17:37] Speaker A: to play, but he's not playing. Anyways, next game we have tie ins and New York gets the New York Giants 2 1/2 point Favorites for the Giants 38 1/2 over under really low. Aaron, who you got? [00:17:54] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean the Giants. We all know Jackson dart out for the season or presumably out for the season. Titans. This is their first road game. They haven't looked really impressive. I know they kept it close against the Eagles, but that's because Jalen hurts through like a, you know, almost a pick six there. Took seven points off one way the other. Look, I think the Giants at home, I'm gonna take them here minus two and a half. I think it's gonna be an ugly football game. You know, wouldn't surprise me. You know, Giants only win by one and screw everybody on the two and a half. But scatter boo the run game. They got to get that going. They got to play physical brand of football. It was a bad matchup Monday night against the Rams. Titans. Like I said, Cam Ward, these guys have struggled offensively. We always talk about with the Titans. How are they going to muster up some points. Giants have more playmakers at home. I'm going with the gman Giants here. [00:18:47] Speaker A: Jason. [00:18:49] Speaker B: Yep. Gonna agree with Aaron. I was going back and forth just for the pure fact is with Jamis starting, is it going to be like a late Jamis turnover to the Tennessee secondary for like a pick six or something? That messes us up on this. But I think with a full kind of game plan for the Giants this week with John Harbaugh, you'll probably see a ton of the running game with Scaboo and everything to control the game. It'll be ugly, but I like it. The Giants to pull this out minus two and a half. [00:19:15] Speaker A: Yeah, same. But this is ugly. This would be a stay away if you could stay away. I wouldn't put any money on either of them. Next game, Pats, Jags, jags at home, three point favorites, 46 over under Jason. [00:19:31] Speaker B: Yeah, I think Jags are going to bounce back this week. Gonna be at home, you know, obviously wasn't the best performance. And the Patriots, I don't know still. Still a lot to be desired so far for the start for the Patriots. I'll take the Jags minus three. [00:19:46] Speaker A: Aaron. [00:19:47] Speaker C: Yeah. Patriots offensively just have not looked good. I mean this offense has only scored 23 points minus the, you know, the seven points they got from their defensive score against a bad Steelers team. Jaguars. You know, if Trevor Lawrence doesn't turn the ball over, generally speaking, they're really, really tough to beat. He had a bad pick there in the third quarter against Denver. That turned that momentum for me. I like Jacksonville here, too. Too many weapons on offense. I think their defense will be able to force Drake, Maine, those guys into some turnovers right now. Patriots just don't seem to have it rolling. I'm gonna go with the Jags as well. Minus three at home. [00:20:20] Speaker A: Nice. That's tough. I'm not really sure which Jaguar team to predict. I know they got rid of some town the off season. Kind of needed that against the Broncos play. Of course, that's a tough place to play. Patriots post the Rossini scandal haven't looked the same. But it's time for Drake may to step up. I think he's gonna do it on the road. And what better time to do it than now. Next game. Chiefs. Dolphins. Big spread here. Chiefs here by 11 and a half. 46 over under Aaron. [00:20:57] Speaker C: Big spread here, Rome, and rightfully so. This big spread is not gonna scare me away. Look, the Chiefs have had two pretty impressive wins here at home. This will be the first road game. Dolphins. This is their home opener. They've been out here on the west coast chilling with us losing games for the last two weeks. Miami's a bad team. I mean, a lot of people talking about possible 017. Kansas City to me is focused, dialed up. They're not going to sleepwalk in this game. I like the Chiefs to roll by at least 14. [00:21:25] Speaker A: So I'll. [00:21:26] Speaker C: I'll lay the 11 and a half. Give me the Chiefs. [00:21:28] Speaker A: Not the same roles as college football, huh? [00:21:31] Speaker C: Typically, I would probably stay away, but yeah, I like the Chiefs here. I think they roll them all right. [00:21:38] Speaker A: Jason? [00:21:39] Speaker B: Yeah, it really kind of goes against what, you know, we've done the past couple years is we looked at big spreads and generally those teams are tough to cover. But I. Aaron's right. This Dolphins team we talked about, probably one of the worst teams in the league, if not the worst. Oh, and 17. They're going for the number one overall pick. I mean, it's tough to feel the competitive team when you got like $150 million in dead cat pain, Tua and Chubb and all these other guys that they let go. So I think much to expect. You know, when you look at the. With the Kansas City defense, you know, they. They're going to have probably blitzes galore to keep everything. Achan's really the only threat. And they have any control of the legs of the quarterback on the Miami side. And offensively, yeah, Aaron. Aaron said they're dialed in. You know, Mahomes playing a little bit within Himself getting the stuff to Kelsey in the right spot. And we talked about the Kenneth Walker effect, you know, the last time around. So I think they roll him. Well, we saw it last week with the 49ers that there's probably a repeat of that. [00:22:31] Speaker A: Yeah, it's unfortunate. I have HMI fantasy team, but when he's like the only offensive talent threat, I'm not going to be getting a lot of points. I'm already trying to see what kind of trades I can make. It's not good, but Chiefs all the way, they roll. [00:22:45] Speaker B: I'll be curious. You mentioned Naechan for your fantasy team and you're probably screwed there, but I'll be curious as he's the probably only playmaker on the team, given this team's rebuilding, is that going to be a trade piece out there at some point of the deadline for a contender? Looking for, you know, a top, you know, at least a top 10 running back in the league, maybe top 5 running back in league with HN. You put them down, you know, behind a real offensive line with a quarterback and stuff. I mean, that could be, that could be an interesting move, the deadline. You might want to keep an eye out on that. [00:23:12] Speaker C: She want a second round pick or what? [00:23:14] Speaker B: Maybe first. [00:23:15] Speaker C: I don't think any first for running back. It's. That's gonna be a desperate team. [00:23:20] Speaker A: I mean, and you know, we just, [00:23:21] Speaker C: we just watched a desperate team here on Thursday night. [00:23:25] Speaker A: Packers. [00:23:26] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:23:27] Speaker A: Interesting. [00:23:28] Speaker C: I mean, Jacobs ain't coming back anytime soon. [00:23:31] Speaker A: I mean, I would swing that trade. You got nothing to lose actually on that one. So, I mean, a second and a fifth and someone else make it happen. [00:23:41] Speaker C: Packers like to swing big for the fences. I mean, nobody goes there in free agency, so they got to trade for these guys. [00:23:46] Speaker B: Yeah, if I were doing it, I mean, if I was trying, I wouldn't give up a first. But I mean, you start, you talk about these teams being desperate, where things are at. And if you're Miami, you know, this week, this, this season's a loser. And you're just trying to get assets you don't have cap space. You need young, young picks. And if he can get you some sort of haul, I, you know, what [00:24:04] Speaker C: is, what is HN's contract status currently? Do we know Aaron? Is he due, Is he due for a payday coming up or. [00:24:14] Speaker B: She signed a four year, $64 million rookie extension in 2026. So he just signed it. [00:24:22] Speaker C: So he just signed an extension. Okay. [00:24:24] Speaker A: Yeah, 16. [00:24:26] Speaker C: 16 million a year? Is that what that comes to. [00:24:28] Speaker A: I mean that's definitely worth first round pick. [00:24:30] Speaker B: Actually third highest running back in the league behind McCaffrey and Barkley. So signing an extension. So, you know, maybe it's a little more with it. Dolphins may believe that's where it's gonna be the ticket, but who knows. [00:24:42] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. Interesting next game. Texans. Colts close with the Texans here by a point and a Half in Indianapolis 42 and a half over under Jason. [00:24:57] Speaker B: Yeah, I was going back and forth on this game as I was looking. I mean, basically almost a pick. Them Colts really need to have this game. I think the Texans, you know, probably want to bounce back after where they were last week. I do like the Texans, you know. You like the defense. Kind of not sure on the offense. You know, what they're able to. To protect Watson. Kind of questionable. I don't love it considering they're a dog at home, but I just feel like there's something in the Colts right now. So I'm going to take the Colts at home plus one and a half. [00:25:27] Speaker C: Aaron Shane Stocking and the Colts get their first win on Sunday. So put me down for the Colts. [00:25:33] Speaker A: I think the opposite. I think the seat's getting warm and it's going to get warmer and that nice cold Indianapolis weather. I got the Texans taking care of business on the road. [00:25:44] Speaker B: Mrs. Ur Gordon's taking notes in the sidelines, man. She's, she's, you know, documenting and she's [00:25:51] Speaker A: been getting a lot of flack. It's kind of weird on X, you know. Anyways, I won't get into it right now. [00:25:58] Speaker B: It's weird. But no one says about good old Arthur Blank on the sidelines over there, you know, at the end of the game every time. [00:26:04] Speaker A: So. [00:26:05] Speaker C: But he, but he isn't listening in on all the communication between the coaches. That. [00:26:09] Speaker B: That's fair. [00:26:10] Speaker C: That's a little weird. That's a little weird for me personally. [00:26:13] Speaker B: It's fair. But you know, Jerry Jones is probably actually calling plays over there in Dallas, so. [00:26:17] Speaker A: Yeah, I think people just don't like women on there. [00:26:20] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:26:21] Speaker A: Panthers. Browns. Panthers favor by two and a half on the road. 42 and a half over under Aaron. [00:26:27] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean I, I like what we've been seeing from the Panthers. I mean this is Jason's number two team. Might jump to number one team now that Caleb's out for the season or week to week, who knows. But look, Bryce Young's gonna the guy. Since he got pitched last year and came in the second half, it's been really really good. If you go back to like the last month of last year to now, I mean look, the Panthers have been playing really good football. They gave the Rams two really good games. Beat them once at the end of the regular season almost being in the playoffs. DeSean, I'm not buying what Cleveland's doing right now. They had a nice win against Tampa Bay but two and a half, that's a good number to get Carolina at. It's better than three, three and a half. So I'm gonna the take Panthers on the road here to get a win [00:27:06] Speaker A: that is going to last us all year long. Man, I'm so excited. Jason. [00:27:12] Speaker B: Yeah, Carolina not battling to be my number one team. That's a locked clinch by for the Bears for the end of my life. They are competing maybe with the Jaguars for my number two team though both one and one right now. So if you go back and forth on there. But Aaron, I agree with you. I like what I seen from the from the Panthers as well. I'll take them minus two and a half. [00:27:28] Speaker A: They're going to destroy the Browns. Young's looking great. All right, last games for the morning slate. Chargers getting seven points on the road in Buffalo 50 over under Jason again. [00:27:45] Speaker B: We talked about a lot of points but I'll go to what Aaron mentioned earlier from the Seahawks game. We're gonna go to a west state, a west to east early game 10am versus the Bills at home. I think the Bills just got, you know, a much tougher environment but the Chargers have just looked awful. Like I just, I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel right. Right now for them just every which way they got their two tackles. We talked about not living up to protect Herbert. Herbert. I think maybe finally getting the questions of like we're in year seven and what's he's going to prove. You know Buffalo, they're trying to win a Super bowl right now. So I think they take care of business in their new home up in Buffalo. I'll take that. Minus seven, Aaron. [00:28:27] Speaker C: Yeah, it's well documented on the show. Last year we talked about the travel Chargers traveling from west to east. They were owing four against a spread last year failed to cover in Tennessee, Miami, Jacksonville and New York against the Giants. They're going to fail to cover again here look, Jason said it best. There's nothing to like about what the Chargers have shown on film here these last two weeks. Buffalo's playing for the number one seed. They're playing for home field throughout. You know, I believe Buffalo's goal is not to lose a game all season in the stadium. They want to make it somewhere special for the fans there, make it to the new place where teams don't want to come in and they got that or around them. So I like the Bills to roll the Chargers. I just don't see the Chargers playing well here. The Chargers I think are looking forward to next week's game on the west coast against Seattle. That'd be a little more interesting contest for them. But Buffalo, 10 days rest, I don't think they're sleeping on the morals. They're going to blow the charges out. [00:29:21] Speaker A: This is interesting. If they didn't switch coaches, you know, in terms of the Bills, this is the kind of game that the Bills kind of fall asleep on. They always play down their competition, especially at home and charges keep it tight and possibly won this one. But new coach, offensive coordinator turn head coach Allen is more playing or not. I don't know if it matters because they do have their wide receiver that had the most catches last year. He's healthy. The tight ends, they still have yet to get rolling. I'm reluctantly taking the Bills, but if there's anyone that got to get up for this, it's the Chargers to kind of keep it close on the road. So this might be an upset pick on Sunday on X. So follow the podcast on X just in case. Afternoon games. Vikings, Bucks. Vikings favored by 142 and a half over under. [00:30:16] Speaker C: Yeah, basically pick them game here. Tampa comes in 02. The Vikings come in 20 with impressive defense. We talk, we've talked about a number of times what Brian Flores blitzing 80% of the time. But I'm going to take the home dog here. The Bucks are going to get the first win of the season. Look at Kyler. Murray's going to make his, you know, second start. But he only played about 11 plays the first game out. Rome, you said the tape on him has been terrible all training cap all season. Tampa's desperate for a win. Bucky Irving, they got to get the run game going. That's the key against Minnesota. Get the run game going and don't do play action and turn your back against this defense because you just gotta, you gotta recognize where the blitz going. Run the ball, spread them out four or five guys wide. If Baker doesn't turn the ball over, they can win here. I don't trust Minnesota to get to three zero. Tampa gets their first win. So I'm going Bucks plus one. [00:31:05] Speaker A: Jason. [00:31:07] Speaker B: Yeah. Aaron hit it on the head. The Last piece there with Baker Mayfield, him not turning the ball over. And I think that's ultimately what's going to decide this game. I'm going to believe in him on this game that they do need the win. So he's going to be careful with the blitzes from Flores. Bucky Irving again, probably one of the keys of the game as well, to put the ball in his hands. Established a running game. There was opportunities for the Bears against the Vikings with DeAndre Swift and especially they had a goal line touchdown basically there that he fumbled away. So there's an opportunity in the running run game. I think the Bucks take it. Baker just keeping everything. Don't turn the ball over or else that will be the turn. That will be the big turning point of the game. But I will believe he will keep it with no turnovers and the Bucks win new contract. [00:31:47] Speaker A: Time for Mayfield to wake up. They did add some assets in the running game. They got some guys back in the, in the passing game. It's time to step up. This is a must win. They have to go. It's. It's Bucks. Next one. Cardinals 49ers, eight and a half point favorites at home. 48 over under Jason. [00:32:09] Speaker B: Man, another big spread. But I'm going to take another favorite in this one. I think we saw what the 49ers did against a not great team last week with the Dolphins. The Cardinals probably a little bit better. They got some playmakers. But the 49ers, you know, they're looking for a Super bowl team or to beat a Super bowl team. And I think Fred Warner has looked really good on defense and has come back kind of just a crazy. A comeback he's able to have from his injury. Brock Purdy has been really good so far this season. It's a big spread, but I'll take the 49ers. [00:32:38] Speaker A: Aaron? [00:32:40] Speaker C: Yeah, I've gone back and forth with this game. I mean, look, the 49ers will look great the first two weeks, winning, what, by 22 and 20 points. Arizona last week against Seattle, not a great showing, but Seattle did have 10 days to prepare for them. Arizona is better than what they showed on last week, I think. I think San Francisco comes down to earth a little bit. Typically, Arizona's played pretty well. I mean, if you go back to when Kyler Murray was there, he actually had a winning record in the Bay Area against Kyle Shanahan and those guys. Even when Arizona had a bad team, there's enough weapons there for Arizona to keep this game close. I like The Niners to win. But I'm going to take the cards. Getting eight and a half here. It's a high number. I'll, I'll ride with them. [00:33:19] Speaker A: Cards usually do pretty well up here in the Bay Area and it is a pretty fun match. Niners usually take care of business in Arizona. I think they win, but I'm with you, Aaron. I think cards have enough to keep it within reach and they cover. By the way, there's like some rumors going on about Harrison Jr. Maybe being on the trading block, going somewhere else. Can you guess which teams people are, [00:33:44] Speaker B: are speculating who needs a wide receiver? I don't know. [00:33:49] Speaker A: Niners are one of them. [00:33:52] Speaker C: Really Say that? Yeah. I mean that makes a lot of sense. I was thinking about this because I think Harrison, this is what his third [00:33:57] Speaker A: year, third year hasn't really done much. I think it's time for a new, a new scenery. [00:34:02] Speaker C: I think he's got one catch this [00:34:04] Speaker B: year, maybe something like that. I think the shocking thing for him is really just I. He just hasn't looked like fast like versus what you thought he was at Ohio State. And just like I think a lot of these games, like the separation just isn't there. And I mean, granted he hasn't had the best quarterback situations going through, but you know, other people have been able to get to the ball in Arizona and it's been, it's. I mean, he reminds me Bears first round wide receiver Kevin White right now. [00:34:30] Speaker C: Yeah. He just doesn't, I don't know, mentally, he just doesn't look confident, focused. I don't know what it is. I mean, if you're the 49ers, why would you want to take another project that, you know, I mean, it doesn't fit what the 49ers are doing. I mean the better team and you know, he'd probably go there and play well, would be the Chiefs. All I hear from every Chiefs fans is we're going to get a wide receiver, we're going to get a wide receiver, we're getting a wide receiver. [00:34:55] Speaker A: That's the other team that people are speculating. [00:34:57] Speaker C: I think another team, I was thinking they've been playing really bad, but I mean their wide receiver corps, you know, young, they got money to spend. Obviously they're not, you know, have to pay her. But the Chargers, I mean if you're the Chargers, I could, I could see them taking the fly around Harrison as well. [00:35:12] Speaker A: Yeah. All right, next game. Raiders. Saints. Saints favor by three at home, 43 and a half over under Jason Yeah, [00:35:22] Speaker B: I mean, the Saints, a little bit of surprise and I mean, the offense has just looked, you know, really good. You know, we talked about Tyler Rome. Do you want to pronounce the quarterback's last name? [00:35:31] Speaker A: Chuck? [00:35:32] Speaker B: Is it Chuck? Okay. I just want to make sure you're the key of pronunciation right now. So I just want to make sure. [00:35:40] Speaker C: Right. [00:35:41] Speaker B: It's not. Definitely not that. [00:35:42] Speaker A: Okay. [00:35:43] Speaker C: No one must, no one wants to know what you do in your off time room. [00:35:46] Speaker A: That's more like a urethane dude with your, with your no ac. [00:35:53] Speaker B: But yeah, I mean, overall the Saints offenses looked really good. Like Kellen Moore's really got, you know, this team in, in a position they were. We talked about the Dolphins being in cap hell. This, this was a team. The Saints, who were in like cap purgatory for like the last half decade, it feels like for all the bad contrast they got at the end of the Sean Payton, Drew Brees era and finally are starting to recover only three points at home. New Orleans, you know, it's a, it's a rowdy stadium. I think no matter what camera crew is in the Superdome, it looks like it's a grainy film, like something's going on down there in Louisiana. So, you know, I'll, I'll take the Saints minus three. [00:36:33] Speaker A: Aaron. [00:36:35] Speaker C: Yeah, it's an interesting game here. I mean, the Saints, this is their home opener. The Raiders, two nice, you know, two nice wins for them, beating the Dolphins and Chargers. Funny thing is the Dolphins and Chargers, the two teams to beat, might be the two. One of the two worst teams in the league. So I think we get a better idea of how good the Raiders are. The Saints to me, defensively been pretty good. But the concern is for them, the first half they've been non existent. Second half, they're like the best team in the NFL. But I like him here at home. I mean, Bowers limited participant. Maybe he's back, maybe he's not, but maybe on a snap count, I don't know how much you're going to expect from him. The Saints got some guys right now. They got a good tight end. Chris Olave is having a nice year, but the defense I think for the Saints will be the key here. They'll make it, you know, they'll get a turnover, maybe a pick six. I'll take the Saints minus three at [00:37:25] Speaker A: home on the sofa. Wise guys, we cover this game. Sniper west had an interesting side bet here for Chris Olave, leading the league in receiving yards. And he says you can still get it at a pretty good value so might want to check that out. Check out that podcast. It just got released on the source from the Sofa podcast feed as well as YouTube and everywhere else. I like what I see. All the Saints, they look pretty good. I think they'll clean up some stuff especially at home. A lot of good vibes going to this. We don't know anything about the Raiders yet. They beat up on some bad teams. They'll obviously be a more competitive out this year. But Saints look like a real deal so three points. I think if anything that's a push but they went at home. We have Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The Ravens three point favorites over the Cowboys. Home game for the Cowboys 52 and a half over under. That's a lot of points Jason. [00:38:27] Speaker B: Yeah, I guess Cowboys the home team but neutral site down there in South America. Cowboys man, just been a lot of questions right now and you're in year two of the Schottenheimer era. Felt like they should have came out beat the Giants in week one. Offense just hasn't looked as much as good as it usually did. Ravens, you know they're competing with some big boys here. Chiefs are back. Bills are looking good. They need the win. I'm gonna take the Ravens minus three Aaron. [00:38:58] Speaker C: I mean I've been going back and forth from this game. I'm still going back and forth on it right now. Ravens week one, I mean they look great. Last week they didn't look so good but you know like we touched on maybe the Saints are a little bit better than people think. Cowboys, you just knowing what you're going to get from them week to week defensively, that's what it worries me a lot. I still don't think Zay Flowers are going to play for the Ravens. He hasn't practiced in a week. I don't even know if he's making the trip. I don't know if you guys can look that into that. I know they flew out tonight. The Ravens to Brazil. Cowboys got enough weapons on the outside in a run game to score points. Ravens are still learning under the Jesse mentor in this defense. You know that's going to get better as the year goes on. But I think the Cowboys this is a good spot to get the Ravens. If anything I think this game's a push. I'm going to take the three points. Give me the Cowboys. [00:39:45] Speaker A: I'm really tempted. About the 52 and a half I think Cowboys turn on they looked pretty wishy washy first two weeks I was really up on Them, they had a really nice quiet off season. Same thing. It's just time to turn it up. Give me the three points. I think. I actually think they steal this away in Brazil. So a lot of their offensive weapons, you know, what's his name from the Steelers. [00:40:13] Speaker C: He. [00:40:14] Speaker A: He's been quiet so far this year on the franchise tag. I can't think of his name for some reason. [00:40:18] Speaker C: Pickens. [00:40:19] Speaker A: Pickens. Just. Just a slow start. So. Yeah, Cowboys. All right, we got our two Monday. No, one more Sunday game, I guess is a Sunday night game. [00:40:31] Speaker C: Yeah. Rams. Broncos. Sunday night. [00:40:33] Speaker A: Rams 2 1/2 point favorites over the Broncos Sunday night. 44 and a half over under Aaron. [00:40:40] Speaker C: Yeah, Broncos. You know, this might be the only time this year outside maybe when Kansas City goes there that you're going to get the Broncos getting plus points here at home. The Rams to me are still a little overvalued. I mean, yeah, they beat the Giants, but that's the Giants. They didn't look good against the 49ers. Stafford, the team got. They looked a lot better offensively. Defensively, they confused a young. You know, Jameis Winston was in there, wasn't ready to play. I don't think Puka is going to play in this game. I'm going to take the Broncos here getting two and a half. I feel like whoever wins this game is going to win like a 24, 23 type final. I'll take the Broncos two and a half here. [00:41:16] Speaker A: Wow. Jason. [00:41:18] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't be going much for my opening predictions of the season that will never get released. Talking about the potential bad start by the Broncos. And I think this is one of the games that was going to be tough for them, the Rams to get together offensively. Obviously no Miles Garrett, but they got Aaron Donald in the lineup taking a good majority of the snaps. Be a tough game. I think it'll be close, but since it's less than a field goal, I will take the Rams minus two and a half. [00:41:47] Speaker A: Yeah, two different, completely different teams from opening night. And I really like how McVeigh just kind of poked fun of himself saying like, well, you know, sometimes the team just has a dumbass coach that makes terrible plans to travel to Australia the night before the game. Pretty funny stuff. That last game against the Giants, you could tell it just shed off so much weight off their back and now they're ready to roll. I expect them to come out big time in the mile High city. Is that they call it so two and a half. Why not Monday night, which unfortunately, this would have been a really fun game to watch. I'm not sure how much now. Eagles 4 1/2 points in the road in Jason. Chicago bears 41 over under Jason. You go. [00:42:41] Speaker B: Oh, you're making me go first. Yeah, I mean, not excited about this game at all, to be honest. I think I was really looking forward this to be a nice 20 versus 20 clash of some division winners on Monday Night Football, but Bears dropped that last week, one and one. I don't even know what quarterback's playing for the Bears. It looks like it's probably going to be Case Keenum from what everyone's saying, which would be likely. I don't know what the Eagles team's gonna show up either, sometimes offensively. So the Bears defense is not great. I mean, I'm the first to admit that that they're 59 points in the first game was going to be needed because there's a lot of opportunity in the Bears defense. They can't really get a pass rush with the front four. They have to bring additional pressure to generate that. And there's some opportunity at corner. I mean, Jalen Johnson was getting, you know, beat a ton by Jefferson last week that Dylan Thieman, the rookie safety, had to make up for. So there's holes for the Eagles to expose. Four and a half, though, is a weird spread. I'm gonna, I'm gonna put this in the. I trust in Ben Johnson that the best thing about the Ben Johnson offense is the running game. So I think you're gonna see the heavy dose of swift, heavy dose of a nun guy. It'll be a close game. The Eagles probably win it, but I'll take the Bears plus four and a half. [00:43:54] Speaker A: Aaron. [00:43:55] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, look, the quarterback situation here kind of throws this game off. I mean, if Caleb Williams was playing, the Bears probably would have finished and won that game last week. And you're probably looking at them Bears minus one one and a half spread coming in. So Caleb's probably worth at least six points off the number here. Look, the Eagles were embarrassed last year on, you know, right after Thanksgiving when the Bears went into Philly the Link and rushed for over 200 yards. Forget about that now. They get a quarterback that ain't played through it since 2023. Case Keenum. Them boys are licking their chops. Eagles fly. Eagles fly. They romp the Bears on Monday night. Give me the Eagles. [00:44:34] Speaker A: I got the Eagles on this one. But I do hope Loveland has a. A decent game because I haven't got One point all year. [00:44:41] Speaker C: I. I would go over whatever his catch, what he's probably at three and a half, four catches. He's gonna probably get. He's gonna get a lot of targets. Case Keaton's got a noodle arm. [00:44:53] Speaker A: I might do a side bit of that. [00:44:54] Speaker B: If I were to say, you'd see it. It's. It's gonna be Loveland. And you'll probably get Raymond because I think that's just like the Ben Johnson staple from his Detroit days right now. So I think these would be the two. [00:45:05] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:45:06] Speaker C: And I would say the Eagles get two plus turnovers from them. The Bears as well. Fumbles or interceptions. [00:45:12] Speaker A: Interesting. Under 41 or right there. That's tough. 21, 14, 27, 17. [00:45:22] Speaker C: Bears are probably lucky to get 13. I'll probably say it's like 27, 13 Eagles. This is Case Keenan we're talking about Rome. I mean, this ain't. [00:45:31] Speaker A: I haven't seen him play. I really don't remember anything about Case Keenan. [00:45:34] Speaker C: I try to. You know, I tried to go back to the film room in 2023, man, that. The old disc don't work anymore. There's no, there's no digital copies of Case Keaton playing quarterback. [00:45:49] Speaker A: That's really hilarious. Any final comments for Week 3 in the NFL? No, we're good to go. We have some new power rankings based on week two. Check that out. A couple teams that dropped out include Jason's Bears. And we have a couple new comers, including the Niners and Chiefs in the top eight. So that is on the socials comment if your team made the list, if they made the cut. We also mentioned who was on the cusp of breaking the top eight. Give us a follow, like subscribe. All that good stuff. We'll recap Sunday's action as well as college football's action later on in the weekend. There's also some F1 we'll probably talk about as well because that's Saturday morning. [00:46:39] Speaker C: So. [00:46:40] Speaker B: Yeah, we got a couple hours from now, Rome FP3 is about to start here in a few hours. Then azerbaijan and then 5am Pacific time qualifying. [00:46:49] Speaker A: So, yeah, I was. I stopped by to visit our. Our pal Andrew and. And he was watching a lot of the interviews. I didn't know people actually watch that stuff. [00:47:01] Speaker B: Interviews? [00:47:02] Speaker A: Just straight up interviews like the press conferences from in and out of F1. [00:47:08] Speaker B: Yeah, man. Got to. You know what? You don't watch the poster Sky Sports. [00:47:12] Speaker C: What else is he gonna do? [00:47:13] Speaker A: Huh? [00:47:14] Speaker C: The guy doesn't work. What else is he gonna do? [00:47:16] Speaker A: It's Val Point. All right, I'll do it. Source of the sofa. NFL lines of the guys. Week three. The Bucs. Catch us next time. We're out.
