[00:00:03] Speaker A: What's up, everybody? This is the Sofa Wise Guys, episode four.
Got NFL games this week. We're gonna run through the whole slave. We're gonna kind of change it up this week.
The segment that we usually do on Sources from the Sofa lines of the Guys, we're gonna do it on here.
Go through the full NFL slate from Sunday and Monday.
First, as we've done it in weeks past, we got a couple of games from our sports betting experts.
Sniper Wes out of Las Vegas, he's with us again, as well as Aaron Toller out of Corona, California in Southern California. If you guys ain't following us on X, follow us. The Sofa Wise guys. You can also follow Sniper directly at the Sniper picks. I don't know what Aaron's access account, but we'll get that to you guys eventually for that too. And then follow the source from the Sofa podcast, X, Facebook and Instagram.
All right, cool. So let's get started with college football. Sniper. Give it to us first. We know you got one game that you really like and you want to share with our listeners.
[00:01:13] Speaker B: Yeah, you know, I really do like this game quite a bit. So it's the last game on the slate. It's the Hawaii game. Right. Which is the. They're always the last game on the slate because of the time difference, obviously. Right.
It's funny with the Hawaii games and you guys probably know this, you know, betting on football for many years, it's. It's always they call it either the get right game or the get ahead game. It's like, you know, you've either won a bunch of money bet in college football all day and you want to make more, so you unload on the game, or you've lost a bunch of money and you're trying to make it all back on the Hawaii game, which.
Which is why the Hawaii handle usually takes quite a bit of steam, you'll notice at the end of the night. But we have San Jose State traveling to Hawaii here.
San Jose State is 2 and 2. They just lost to Fresno State 26 to 10. So they're definitely going to want to bounce back here. They only average 23.3 points per game, which is not all that great. But Hawaii only averages 18 per game.
The Spartans can run the ball. They run for 146 yards per game, and I think they're going to be able to have some success. The main reason is the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. They give up 178 rushing yards per game.
So basically, you have a defense allowing 178 yards a game and an offense in San Jose State that's running for 146 yards a game. So I think that the Spartans, the San Jose State Spartans are going to run the ball here and they're going to run, run, run. I like San Jose State a lot here. I like them to actually win this game outright.
I will, for purposes of this podcast, I will take the three points and put them in my back pocket. But I would not be surprised at all if they win this game. I like them quite a bit here. This is a premium play of mine, Hawaii, they do run that run and they rank 118th nationally in success rate. Their quarterback, Micah Allah, though, he's, you know, battling a lot of injuries. Their offensive line hasn't been that great either.
So yeah, give me San Jose State here. I really like this play, this play quite a bit. It's like I said, one of my premiums and a pretty high rated play. We're going with the Spartans over the Rainbow warriors of Hawaii to get it. We'll take the three points, but wouldn't be surprised if they went out, right?
[00:03:19] Speaker C: Yeah. This is what, a 9, 9pm kickoff here on the West Coast. So 12 Eastern for all those east coast guys.
You know, actually this is not a bad spot here, Rome. I mean, we can watch this game at 9 o'. Clock. It finishes up. We lead right up into the F1 race starting at midnight there in Malaysia. So it actually sets up real perfect there to maybe double up on some action. I agree with Sniper here. I do like San Jose State. They've already gone on the road once to Eastern Michigan. Picked up a nice road win here before. Hawaii's really struggling offensively. He mentioned the quarterback play has been not great this year. He's been battling leg, calf, knee, arm issues. Hawaii's just been really inconsistent. San Jose State's a little bit better than the record has shown. Tough loss against Fresno State the last time out. Like Sniper mentioned. I believe this is a good spot too. I would take the points, but I think there's a really good opportunity that they do get the upset at Hawaii.
[00:04:10] Speaker A: Nice. Aaron, did you have one for us?
[00:04:13] Speaker C: I do, Rome. I do have a game I like in the sec. We're a team that me and you are both pretty high on. Mississippi State coming off a nice impressive win against Missouri at home last week. Alabama comes to town and right now the spread I Earlier in the week it was at six. I think it's down to five and a half at some shops now. But I like the Bulldogs and Mississippi State getting six points at home. I mean I expect this game to be a high scoring game as well. Alabama defensively has been pretty inconsistent. Two weeks ago Florida State dropped 36 on them. Mississippi State, we know that they, they're a high powered offense, they can put some points on the board. I expect this game to be a shootout, closely contested game. Give me the six points in. Mississippi State wouldn't be shocked if they pull off an upset. The SEC has been known for some upsets in the top 10 team we saw with LSU going on the road to Ole Miss as a, as a favorite, losing. So I like, I like the Mississippi State Bulldogs here getting six points and I want to be shocked too if they pull the upset at home against Alabama.
[00:05:12] Speaker A: Amazing.
[00:05:13] Speaker B: Yeah, you know I do like, yeah, I do like Mississippi State too. I think they could be an active dog here for sure.
Actually, I am going to throw out one more game and I'm actually going to throw out some, some betting 101 for the listeners as well. So taking a look at Navy and Air Force here, so we have two service academies and one thing I love to do, I love unders in service academy games. Obviously with Navy and Army you get that wishbone offense, you know, just, you know, running the ball constantly all game long. The clock keeps moving. I actually got this as soon as it opened. I got this at 48, okay. And I took the under.
Now this thing has dropped all the way down to 45 and a half at 50. FanDuel and DraftKings so what I'm considering doing is I'm considering middling this game. So what is the middle? What do I mean by middling a game? It means I might take the over. If this goes down to 45. I'm for sure going to middle this and take the over. So what am I doing? I'm taking the under of 48 points. I'm going to take the over of 45 if it does hit 45. Therefore if the game, the game lands at 46 or 47 points, which it very well could because that's what the odds makers are telling us. It's right around where they think it's going to land. Then I actually cash both tickets. I cash the under 48 and I cash the over 45. Now the good thing about middling games, now you have to do it for the same amount of money.
Like you can't bet 100 on the, on the under and then 50 on the over. It just doesn't make sense to do that. If you're betting 100 bucks, you bet a hundred on the under 48, 100 on the over 45. And what happens is if it doesn't land on 46 or 47, then you know one of your tickets is going to lose. One could push hypothetically if it lands right on 48 or 45. But if one of the tickets, let's say this game just blows over and there's 50 or more points. So you're going to lose your under ticket, right? You're going to lose your under 48, but you won the over 45. Therefore, what do you lose by attempting to middle that game? You only lose the juice on one ticket. Let me repeat that. You only lose the vig or the chalk. You know, whatever the minus 110, minus 115, whatever you laid, you're only going to lose that 15 cents or the 10 cents.
So essentially what you're doing, you're saying, I'm willing to lose 10$. If you're betting 100 bucks, you're basically saying, I'm willing to lose $10 for the chance to win 200.
I think anybody would take that any day of the week.
[00:07:40] Speaker C: You're.
[00:07:40] Speaker B: Well, let me say that again. You're willing to lose $10 for the chance of winning 200. Pretty good odds, right? So that's what middling is. They call it arbitrage in the stock world or, you know, trading or whatnot.
So if it does hit 45, I'm gonna go over Navy Air Force over 45, and I already have that under 48 ticket.
[00:08:02] Speaker A: I dig it.
I dig it. Do you guys do that pretty often?
[00:08:07] Speaker B: Yeah, Especially with live betting, you can do it quite a bit. So, like going back to, you know, Aaron's Mississippi State plus six play, right?
[00:08:14] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:08:15] Speaker B: So let's say you have Mississippi State plus six, and let's say they take all. Let's say they're up 10, nothing, 13, nothing at the end of the first quarter. Right. So all of a sudden you're going to be able to get the other side. You're going to be able to get the other side at like plus three, plus four, plus five.
Right. Because that's what's going to happen. Mississippi State is going to be favored in the middle of the game. So if you do that, you're holding two tickets on two teams. Team A with plus six and then team B with plus six. So you're just hoping the game isn't ends in a field goal and you're going to cash both tickets. Right, right. So yeah, live betting presents a lot of middling and arbitrage opportunities. For sure.
[00:08:50] Speaker A: I think we'll have to clip that and share with people. I loved it. I loved it.
All right, time to talk a little NFL football. We are in week four in the NFL. We are going to go buy the circa millions point spread for that contest. And then I, I think sniper and error might go over some of the over and unders and some movement in the books already.
All right, Sunday Colts commanders. Colts here by three and a half on the road.
Where's this game at?
[00:09:24] Speaker B: It's in London. I think it's Wembley.
[00:09:26] Speaker A: Right?
[00:09:27] Speaker B: I think it's Wembley.
[00:09:28] Speaker A: That's right. Okay, got it. Sniper.
[00:09:31] Speaker B: So. Well, it's very interesting. We, we just did, you know, a couple college selections. You can go check out that clip, you know, in a separate video if you guys want. But so. Yeah, so you guys. So I did a play on the, the Stanford and Hawaii game. Obviously that game is Midnight Eastern or 9:00pm Pacific Time on Saturday night.
So you boys mean to tell me that we can bet college football all day on Saturday and then we could bet the 9 o' clock Hawaii game between San Jose State and Hawaii, which I like. San Jose state plus the three. And then you guys mentioned we get F1 starting at midnight and going till God knows when. And then we get 6.30am, 9.30am Eastern, 6.30am Football and London. So basically what you're telling me is we're not going to be sleeping this weekend at all. We're just going to be batting and firing away and pulling an all nighter on Saturday night. So looking forward to that. But yeah, Indianapolis and Washington here obviously Mariota with a big win last week, you know, beating the Seattle Seahawks, defending champion. That was very, very impressive. I gotta say Mariota is a pretty solid, you know, backup quarterback. I mean obviously his best days are behind him. But I mean it's like the old country music song says, I forget who it was, but I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was. Right.
And I think they could show up. Man, getting plus three and a half is. I think it could be a field goal game here. The Colts obviously they've been getting, giving up a lot of points. They gave up 30 plus to the Chiefs in that primetime game.
They got their first win against the Texans last week, which was impressive.
But I'm going to take the three and a half points. I just think it's A field goal game. I can kind of see that Washington defense, I don't know, I was kind of high on them to start the year.
This is a really tough game to call obviously with it being abroad and no real home field advantage to no premium play or anything. But I'll just give a lean on Washington, plus the three and a half. Only because it's three and a half and I really have no feel on the game.
[00:11:27] Speaker A: Nice, Aaron.
[00:11:29] Speaker C: Yeah, it's an interesting number. I mean both teams are coming off a victory. Last week. Both got their first wins. I mean Washington, the Commanders. That was a very impressive win at home against Seattle. I mean, raining the whole game.
Seattle, I mean the Sharps were on Seattle. That spread got all the way from seven all the way up to nine, nine and a half. Mariota had a great game. They got weapons. I mean, we've talked about Washington. We've kind of hyped them up a lot this year that we think they're a little bit better than they, than their record showed last year. I agree. I mean that, that, that hook, that half point really got me leaning towards the Commanders. I feel like it's a game that can come down to a field goal. I mean, if you look at all the Colts games the last two weeks, the Chiefs and then the Texans, literally field goal games at the end one in overtime. Commanders have played close games too. I mean the Cowboys game got away from them the second half, but you know, Daniels got hurt. But week one, they lost by two against the Eagles, one by two against Seattle.
I, I like to. I like the Commanders getting three and a half year.
[00:12:26] Speaker A: I'll take them back to normal scheduling. You got Patriots on the road against the Bills. Bills gain six and a half points.
Sniper.
[00:12:35] Speaker B: Yeah, like I actually like to. I have a premium play on the Patriots. I got him at plus seven. I know they're plus six and a half in most spots right now and I know that they have not looked good. It looked very, very ugly back in Jacksonville, but.
And they are missing AJ Brown too, like a lot. Obviously there's a lot of camaraderie between Drake May and A.J. brown and training camp and everything.
But all that being said, I do think it's a divisional game, AFC East. I think that New England kind of fixes some of their woes. I think they have a pretty good offensive game. I like New England. I, I mean, I guess I'll say plus six and a half because that's where it is right now. I got them at +7 when I released it earlier in the week.
I like the over quite a bit too. I think it's going to be a higher scoring game. The under is probably going to take some action. The Bills are probably going to take a lot of action because that's what the public does is recency bias. What did I see last week? I saw, you know, the Patriots just completely suck in Jacksonville. Therefore I'm putting all my money on Buffalo. Wrong. Incorrect. That is not how the NFL works. Teams bounce back, they fix their problems, they play better, they look at film, they make adjustments. So I like New England plus the points here and I like the over. I think that Buffalo, if Drake May does turn the ball over. Drake May has one touchdown pass and six interceptions this year. That's not good. And even if he does turn the ball over, if he doesn't play well and he turns the ball over twice, you know, in enemy territory, Buffalo's right there to go in and score. Josh Allen, arguably one of the greatest red zone quarterbacks in the history of the national football. Give me the over and give me the Patriots plus the points.
[00:14:04] Speaker A: Wow, Aaron.
[00:14:06] Speaker C: Yeah. Patriots plus the points all day for me here as well. I like this as a play. Got it at seven as well. Seen it down to six and a half. Look, divisional game like Patriots beat these guys twice last year.
And look Drake May, he's struggling a lot. He's kind of pressing, forcing some. I mean the interceptions he's making are just, just stupid boneheaded plays, right? It's not like defenses are making great plays, that's one thing. But I mean he's literally just throwing it to the other team. I think Vrabel press conference said, look, my goal is to get this team focused, get them better. Vrabel is one of the better coaches in the NFL. He'll have this team focused. They'll get up for this game. It's going to be a tight, tight game. Give me the seven points. I think whoever wins is probably going to win by three or four. So I like the Patriots this week getting seven on the road.
[00:14:50] Speaker A: Do I still start Stafford over Drake May? I made the mistake last week and it cost me a fantasy football victory. So that's making me a little nervous. Making me a little. Also expecting a bounce back week last week. All right, jets against the Bears. Bears here by three.
Aaron.
[00:15:07] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean look, the Bears coming off that emotional great showing Monday night. I mean, I didn't expect them to look that good. Case Keenum hadn't played much since 2023. They had a nice game plan where they literally, I thought they were just going to try to run the ball a lot. They came out in four or five wide receiver sets. Kind of threw Philadelphia off their game plan. The jets, they showed up last week. Tough loss in Detroit. I think me and Sniper both were on them getting that six points. Tough, tough defeat there.
But, you know, Gino's played well. But the jets have had. They've got a ton of injuries, too. I mean, their offensive line a bit banged up. They got some skilled guys out. You know, the tight end, the rookie they got out of Oregon, Sadiq, I believe he's got a back problem. They've already got Mitchell out with a finger. It looks like he won't play.
The Bears, I mean, they do they run the ball well. Case Keenums looks like he's serviceable for at least another week or so. Ben Johnson's a great offensive coordinator.
I'm gonna go with the Bears here at home. Three points. I'm gonna keep an eye on the weather. I think that's what kind of cost him in Week 2 against Minnesota, but I believe their defense can force some turnovers. And Keenum in the run game will be the difference here. So I'll go with the Bears at home, minus three.
[00:16:17] Speaker A: Sniper.
[00:16:18] Speaker B: Yeah, this is a tough game to figure out for me, too. I would probably lean. I have no release or no premium play here, but I would probably lean on the jets, honestly. Plus the three and a half.
So, first of all, I don't think Case Keenum should start, in my opinion, if Caleb Williams is still out, just based on last week's performance. But there's. There's some rumors that Bajan might start here just because the Bears are actually very high on him. The Bears actually think he could be a top, top 30 quarterback in the NFL and arguably a starter in this league. That is what I've heard from a bunch of podcasts I've listened to and everything. They are high on Bajint, but I. After last week, how do you not start Case Keenum? You kind of have to after he looked that good.
But yeah, jets with injury concerns. I get that.
I kind of just smell a little bit of a letdown after Case Keenum and the emotional win and everything. Real tough game to figure out for me, to be honest with you. It is interesting, Aaron, you mentioned the weather in Chicago. You know, the Vikings going to Chicago, that's actually supposed to favor the Bears because the Bears are like the outdoor, you know, black and blue division run. The Football play defense. And the Vikings, they play indoors now, so it was just surprising that Chicago with Caleb Williams could do nothing.
But that'll all be, you know, water under the bridge once they move over to Indiana because they're going to have a big dome and you know, that outdoor, that outdoor Chicago thing is going to be a thing of the past.
[00:17:41] Speaker A: Subtle jabs, I love it. Cardinals getting two and a half points against the Giants.
Sniper.
[00:17:48] Speaker B: What are the Cardinals doing? Laying points to anybody in the NFL?
Why? They're favored here. So I like the giants, Jameis Winston, J.J. mcCarthy.
I mean, Jameis is going to be starting this game. I, I don't know what's going to happen with the whole J.J. mcCarthy situation. If he looks good, obviously. I think what happened with that trade. So the Giants, they only had to give up a fight, a fifth round pick to acquire him. I think that Jim Harbaugh, Chargers head coach who coached JJ McCarthy, they won a national championship together in Michigan, kind of whispered some nothings into his brother John Harbaugh's ear and said, hey, you should give J.J. a chance. He's a pretty good quarterback. I think that you can kind of fix him, fix whatever's, you know, wrong with him.
But Jameis is going to start this game. How about Jameis Winston and his media personality? Let me tell you something, that guy is a character. Pretty funny stuff, but I'm going Giants here. Plus the two and a half. The Giants have a good defense and I get. They lost their, their pass rusher.
Blades, I think his name was.
Yeah, or Burns. Yeah, that's right. I think it's a sloppy game. I think it's very similar to the 126 victory over the Titans that the Giants had last week. But I'm gonna take. And I like the under too. 43 and a half and I get the Cardinals could put up some points. They were actually feisty against the Niners, but I still don't think they should be laying points here against the Giants.
[00:19:05] Speaker C: Yeah, it's weird because I think this game started like at a pick em. Now the Cards are now laying two and a half. Yeah, they shouldn't be. And plus they're traveling west to east. It's a weird line. It's a game I'm really staying away from. I mean, the giants the last two weeks offensively have only scored a combined 19 total points.
And Arizona, yeah, we know they could score. They got plenty of playmakers. I mean, look, Harrison Jr. Finally stepped up and had a decent game.
Love McBride, all those guys and that's why I'm kind of leaning towards taking Arizona here. Like, why would you make them a favorite on the road against The Giants, who are 20 at home? It's a weird, tricky line, a game I would stay away from. But I'm, I'm leaning towards Arizona here because I don't, I don't see why the Lions makers would make this bad of an error making them a favorite here on the road.
[00:19:53] Speaker A: Wow.
Cowboys on the road against the Texans.
Must win, I would say for both teams. Texans fair by three. Sniper.
[00:20:03] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:20:03] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:20:04] Speaker B: Give me the Cowboys here. The Cowboys, they can just put up points, right? They've been putting in points every single week, obviously. Last week, 31 points they put up against Baltimore. They scored 37 against the Commanders, only put up 20 against the Giants. But that was week one. It looks like they fixed their offensive woes.
CD getting up in that mix you got Pickens, they, they can just move the ball. I get their defense is trash, but you want to talk about a defense that's trash, all of a sudden, that from out of nowhere is the Texans. Texans are giving up 30 points a game. What happened to this vaunted Houston? Texas defense is supposed to be one of the best in the NFL, if not the best. I was high on Houston coming into this year. I mean, I wish I could have put a parlay on the Texans starting 03 and the Raiders starting 3. 0 and put those two teams together. You probably get something like plus like 10,000 on that. But yeah, I gotta go. Dallas here. I don't see.
I don't see. I know Dallas's defense is terrible. If CJ Stroud is going to move the ball against any defense in the league, it's going to be the Cowboys.
But Houston's giving up a lot of points and Dallas is scoring a lot of points. I don't see them scoring under 30 points here. And can the Texans really put up 30?
Maybe. But I got to take the three
[00:21:11] Speaker C: and a half of the Cowboys here agree this. I'm going to go with the Cowboys here. Look, the Texans offensively, defensively, have not been great. Maybe they get Nico Collins back this week. He's been a limited participant after missing the last two games.
Cowboys defense is a mess. I mean, they're secondary. They lost two or three guys last week, but they weren't even that good coming in.
Tough loss in Brazil, but yeah, I mean, Dak and those boys can score points. I mean, if you're going to give me three points, I don't See the Cowboys losing by more than three if they do lose this game. So I will go.
[00:21:45] Speaker A: I'll go.
[00:21:45] Speaker C: Cowboys here as well.
[00:21:47] Speaker B: By the way, too, by the way, Joey Porter Jr. Is headed to Dallas from Pittsburgh. I just heard that this morning.
[00:21:54] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't know if he will be active in playing this game coming up, but.
[00:21:58] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't, I don't think he would either. He's got to start learning the system and everything. But you could just keep that in mind for future reference.
[00:22:03] Speaker A: It's amazing on X, just 30 minutes ago they're saying they're going to try to get them ready to go to start this weekend.
[00:22:10] Speaker C: You can't do any worse than anybody else that's been doing in that background.
[00:22:16] Speaker A: Healing up pretty quickly now. He's gonna probably get his contact that he's looking for. I don't blame the Pittsburgh Steelers for trading him away. And you know, they just have rules. No one's an exception.
[00:22:25] Speaker C: Well, they got it. They got a second in a conditional fifth round. So that's pretty good for a cornerback in the NFL.
[00:22:30] Speaker A: Yeah. So not bad.
Next game we got Jags. Bengals. Bengals, two and a half point favorites at home.
Sniper.
[00:22:39] Speaker B: Give me the Bengals here.
Hopefully it comes down to a field goal and hopefully the Bengals kick that field goal. I think it will be a close game.
Cincinnati last week, obviously the shootout against Pittsburgh, they put up 20 points against the Bengals. The week before that they put up 33 against the Buccaneers. Jacksonville's been very impressive. I'll say that. Trevor Lawrence is maybe an early season MVP candidate. He's been playing really, really well for all, for, for all of you that had him in your fantasy team or a prop to score a touchdown. I apologize for him kneeling with 8 1/2 minutes left in the fourth quarter. I don't know what that was all about. I, Me and my buddy were talking like, dude, they need to like do some kind of investigation into that because like that killed a lot of people's fantasy teams and killed a lot of prop bets. You can't be kneeling the ball with 8:30 left in the game. That's just because they scored on the next play. He's completely ridiculous. Like, I don't, I don't know what happened there, but yeah, give me Cincinnati here. Their offense seems to be clicking. Maybe they play. Obviously they did not play good defense last week, but the first two weeks before that they played pretty good defense. So maybe their defense comes back around, plays well in Jacksonville. Maybe let down after that big win over New England, it's Cincinnati minus two and a half for me.
[00:23:53] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, I've gone back and forth with this game. Bengals looked really good the first two weeks.
Defensively, was not the same team that gave up some big plays.
Jacksonville is one of those teams. They play well whether they're at home or on the road. I mean, it really comes down to whether or not Trevor Lawrence is turning the ball over or not. They had Denver on the robes, but seeming like every team that has Denver on the robes, the Broncos come back late in the second half and win the games.
I'm gonna go Jaguars here. I would buy the half point and get it at three if I. That's what I would do, but I'm gonna go Jacksonville. I believe their run game's just a little bit better defensively. They've been more consistent over the last this year and last year. Going back with the same coordinator. They have tight game, but I'm gonna. I'm gonna lean Jacksonville.
[00:24:41] Speaker A: Sniper. Just so you know, Aaron's main team is Green Bay packers, so he doesn't have much the cheer for. So he's been doubling down on the Jags lately.
[00:24:49] Speaker C: Hey, I jumped on that Jack's bad wagon last year. Rome, listen, let's not kid ourselves.
[00:24:54] Speaker A: Speaking of which, packers, three and a half point favorites on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
[00:25:01] Speaker B: Yeah, obviously, no, Baker Mayfield, you get Jalen Daniels. Not Jaden Daniels, but Jalen Daniels out of Kansas here. I have no idea how that dude's gonna play. I mean, Baker can't get his team in the end zone. How's Jalen Daniels gonna get his team in the end zone?
Green Bay, a team searching for answers.
Obviously, they beat the jets and that was arguably a game that the jets maybe should have won.
But do you guys realize. And Aaron might realize this and correct me if I'm wrong, Aaron, but I think even including the playoffs last year, I believe the Green Bay packers are something like 1 and 9 straight up the last 10 games, including the plug going back to last season and the playoffs.
[00:25:43] Speaker C: So they lost. Yeah, I think that they're what, one and two right now?
I think they lost their last six games last year. So.
[00:25:51] Speaker B: Yeah, and the playoff lost to the Bears and then. Yeah, so Malaflor can't win a game.
I mean, he beat the jets, but I don't know. But yeah, all that being said, I mean, this is the ugliest game of the week. I want nothing to do with this game, but gun to my head, I gotta lay the three and A half of the packers just because it's a desperate team. Leflore maybe on the hot seat a little bit.
And you know Jordan Love, he hasn't played well at all. They gotta go into Tampa and have a big game and get a big win. So this pack, it's packers are passed for me.
[00:26:25] Speaker A: Must wins on both side at.
[00:26:27] Speaker C: Yeah, it's a tricky. Another tricky game.
Jalen Daniels, like you mentioned, not Jaden. I had to double check once I saw Daniels was playing. No relation, I believe.
This is a weird game. You got three and a half.
I'm actually playing this game both ways. I'm taking packers money, laying Tampa plus the points.
I think, I think, I think Tampa's gonna, I think it's going to be another three point win. Two point win for Green Bay. Similar to like they did against the jets where they win but don't cover.
And I think Jalen Daniels can spark the offense. We talked about Baker, he got that new contract, but he's been, he's been bad. Let's be honest. I mean if he hadn't gotten a $60 million deal and he was a baker from five years ago, he might have already been benched for a game or two.
You know, Tampa, you know, they did a good job against Kyler Murray in that offense. I mean they gave up. Was it a punt or kick return? That was part of the problem in that game. Both these coaches are similar on the hot seat. Todd Bowles, I mean he didn't make the playoffs last year.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. I think Tampa shows up, plays well, but packers find a way to win. So I'm going Packers, Moneyline, Bucks plus three and a half.
[00:27:33] Speaker A: Kind of like it. Rams three point favorites on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. Who forgot that they played Monday Night Football against the third screen quarterback sniper.
[00:27:46] Speaker B: Yeah, you know, is Puka gonna play? I don't know. I'm actually looking at the Rams injury report. I don't even see Miles Garrett on the injury report. Is that because they put him on IR maybe or is he playing.
[00:27:59] Speaker C: He's out at least six weeks, right? Yeah, I think they announced that like two weeks ago.
[00:28:03] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:28:04] Speaker B: And you know, the Rams should have won that game against the Broncos. That was an interception. That was not pass interference. And it killed my. I had a premium. I had a bunch of money on the Rams too. And it was just very disappointing because that was literally the, that was the game winning interception. They didn't give it to him. But coulda, shoulda, woulda, whatever man, this is a tough game. But Philly, they look so bad. Jalen hurts really. You know Sean Manion's their new office of coordinator and their offense just really hasn't clicked. They played okay against Tennessee and they came back and they had that big win. But that's the Titans, you know what I mean? Now they're playing the Rams. Rams. I know they gave up a bunch of points versus the Broncos but they still have a pretty decent defense.
Man, this is a tough game to call. I mean with. Are we at three and a half? Yeah, we're at three and a half.
Honestly it's probably Eagles plus three and a half or pass for me. I don't have a really good feel for this game, honestly.
[00:28:57] Speaker A: Aaron.
[00:28:58] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean I'm seeing what circa's got what Rams finest three.
I mean look the Eagles offensively especially an offensive coordinator but ain't killing more Shane Stichting calling plays. You just don't know where you're going to get week to week from them. They had an embarrassing performance on defense on Monday night against a third string quarterback. But it spills maybe a lot of holes in the Eagles, right? You spread them out four or five wide you can throw on them. Stafford had a big game. He's looked good the last two weeks after really sucking on Australia.
I mean the Rams can they really afford to go to 1 and 3 if they lose this game given that the Niners could go to 40 and Seattle likely is going to bounce back and get to 3 and 1.
They should have, they should have beaten Denver. I mean it was a 160 at the half. It could have easily been 24, 280 last year these two teams played, the Rams dominated. They got beat because they had two field goals blocked, one returned for a touchdown at the end of the game which the Eagles covered. I just think the Rams go in there and just beat the Eagles bad. I mean I just don't trust Philadelphia. Nick Sirianni, those guys too inconsistent on offense. And look, Sniper talked about AJ Brown being missed with the, with the Patriots. I mean Philadelphia is really, really missing them. They've got no explosive games really in the passing and Devonte Smith's banged up as well. Goddard, the tight ends hurt. Saquon ain't been the same since the 2000 yards rushing. I think the Rams Puka's back. From what I'm hearing he is practicing which is a plus. I'm going Rams here at Philly.
[00:30:22] Speaker A: Eagles do have a pretty good rookie wide receiver but he's not getting a lot of love right now. Not a lot of play calling for him, but he was kind of checking out. Yeah.
So the play calling has been kind of skeptical, but that's been the usual for the offense for the Eagles.
[00:30:37] Speaker C: Well, we are seeing, I mean, we are seeing even at Denver. I mean, I think there's 21 new offensive coordinators throughout the NFL this year, but a lot of guys that have never called plays. You're seeing with Davis, Webb with the Broncos and now Manning with the Eagles. Really a lot of inconsistent, man. They just really take some time. Ain't got a good feeling on it yet. So, yeah, come November, December might be a lot better. But right now I think you can get these teams.
[00:31:00] Speaker A: Yeah. Last game for the morning slate. We got Titans, Ravens favored by 11 and a half.
[00:31:07] Speaker B: Yeah, it's tough game to call, to be honest. It's just a lot of points and I'm not a big fan of Tennessee. I'm not a big fan of Cam Ward. Cam Ward looks terrible. It's a shame too, because I watched if you guys have seen the Netflix quarterback series, he was on there this last. They, they filmed it last year and they filmed a lot of off season workouts and stuff. And he's actually a really nice guy.
He does a lot of great work on the community and everything, but he's just not a good NFL quarterback at all. I mean, you're seeing it with his passes. He's just. They arguably could have beat the Eagles, I'll give them that, but Tennessee is just not a good team. One thing with Baltimore is coming back from Rio. It's a big letdown spot after that big win over the Cowboys. You saw them all rushing out on the field, you know, kind of a long flight back to Baltimore and you know, a little bit of a time. I, I know. I guess Rio is one hour ahead of Baltimore. I don't think that really comes into account.
But I probably lean Tennessee, man. And it's ugly. If you're not betting ugly in the NFL, I'm telling you what, you will get destroyed if you just go with public consensus. So this just, this smells like one of those games where Tennessee just either slips in the back door and maybe gives the Ravens a game.
So I will take the 11 and a half points, which actually I see 12 and a half at some books. It's just crazy. It's a lot of points.
I'm gonna take the Titans here. It's a plug your nose, embed it type of situation.
[00:32:31] Speaker A: Plug your nose embedded we're in so many phrases from sniper today. I'm, I'm loving it.
[00:32:36] Speaker C: Aaron, you know, he was sick last week, so maybe he pulled that out last week when he was plugging his nose and playing these games, you know?
[00:32:45] Speaker B: You know, I'll give you another one. It's, it's big. Girls need 11 too, just like the Titans.
[00:32:53] Speaker C: Rome knows all about that one up there.
[00:32:55] Speaker A: Oh, hey, hey.
[00:32:56] Speaker C: A lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of 49ers up there, right? Rome?
[00:33:00] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[00:33:01] Speaker C: That's a whole other joke.
[00:33:06] Speaker A: Oh, man.
[00:33:08] Speaker C: Titans here.
Look, it's hard. I mean, this isn't a game I personally would be playing. I mean, look, 11 and a half's a ton of points. We always talk about it on the show. Laying any more than eight or nines. Risky. We saw the Cards come back against the niners as a nine point dog. BackDoor that game last week, you know. You know, if you're going to play the Titans, you're probably hoping for a similar kind of backdoor thing. Yeah, they did cover against the Eagles, but that was at home.
Ravens, great showing last week against Dallas. Coming back and winning a game that could have gone either way. Defensively, they still got a lot to work on, but yeah, Cam Ward, I mean, the amount of passes he's missing and whatnot. Derrick Henry, is there some kind of revenge factor that he's trying to stick it to Tennessee or whatnot?
[00:33:54] Speaker A: Oh, that's right.
[00:33:58] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, it's. It's a game. Like I said, I wouldn't be playing.
The public's going to be over, all over Baltimore. So that makes you, like Sniper said, you know, fade the public. It usually cash in these games. I mean, the next game's another game that's gonna be a big public play.
But I, I would lean slightly probably towards the Ravens getting it done, but would not be shocked at all if the Raven or the Titans got a backdoor cover and lost by like 9, 10 points here.
[00:34:25] Speaker A: Wow. All right, time for the afternoon games, I guess.
Dolphins, Vikings. I know the big line. Vikings favored by ten and a half.
[00:34:36] Speaker B: Yeah, so I, I'm. I'm going to stay on the same train. Big girls need 11, 2. Plug your nose and bet it. Give me the Dolphins plus ten and a half here. A lot of points I get. The Minnesota's defense is arguably one of the best in the NFL. They've looked really, really good, and Miami has looked absolutely terrible. Therefore, Minnesota will blow Miami out, right? Wrong. That is not how the NFL works. I think that Jeff Halfley, the head coach of the Dolphins, if you remember, he. I think he was the defensive coordinator of the Packers. A would probably know that.
[00:35:04] Speaker C: Yeah, he was.
[00:35:05] Speaker B: But he's very familiar with the Vikings. Right. Because he was in that division for quite a while. And I think Miami comes in here and gives them a game. I think it's a spot where Minnesota's three and oh, big time letdown spot. Right. They have Miami coming in. They're probably not taking them too seriously. 10 and a half points. I like the over too. I think there's a lot of points in this game. I think the Dolphins team total. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's something like 12 and a half or 13 and a half points for the Dolphins team total like that over. Like the over in the game. And like the Dolphins plus ten and a half. I think they're an active dog here.
[00:35:38] Speaker C: Yeah, this is one I am going to jump on. The ten and a half of the Dolphins. Look, the Vikings, offensively, let's be honest, they're not doing anything. Last week, like I mentioned, they got a special team score.
So Kyler Murray still doesn't look great. I believe Justin Jefferson's out with an ankle. I mean, he's not practicing.
Yeah, the Dolphins did lose h hand, but like they do have one thing going for them. Malik Willis can run, he can scramble. So that kind of helps against the pressure blitzes that you know, the Vikings like to do. Hn is out. But their backup running back Gordon was pretty good at Oklahoma State looked pretty good last week against the Chiefs. They kept that game close. Kansas City got a late touchdown.
Thank God. Yeah, I agree. I think the Dolphins keep this game closer and can keep it within the touchdown score. I believe so, yeah. Minnesota has not done anything offensive. They scored what, nine points and then 20. But take away the special team score, they really only scored 13. So that's 21 points in the last two weeks.
Close game. Minnesota wins because I think defense, special teams is enough to get them through. But Dolphins is definitely a live dog here, getting ten and a half.
[00:36:41] Speaker A: Here's a. Here's an interesting stat. Zero and three teams in week four versus a team that already has at least one win.
They're winning that week four game at a 70% clip since 2005 and they've been 13 and three since 2020. So that, that's this Dolphins game. You got the Chargers, tight ends, bucks, Texans.
So 70% chance so far based on history, for those teams to finally get a victory. This week. You guys agree or disagree? For this week?
[00:37:12] Speaker B: Yeah. You know those trends, you got to be careful with those trends. Trends are just meant to be broken.
That's really all they are. So, I mean, if a trend is 70%, all you're telling me is there's a 30 chance that trend loses. That's really all you're telling me.
[00:37:24] Speaker A: Right?
[00:37:25] Speaker B: So, and, and, and I don't mind looking at them, and I do look at them. For example, my over in the Bills and Patriots game. We talked about that earlier.
So when the Bills and Patriots play head to head, the last 10 times they played, it's been seven overs and three unders, 70% to the over. But all that means is it's got a 30 chance to lose.
What? The way I use trends, I like to look at a game, I like to get a feel for it, decide what I like. If I really, really like it, and then I find like three or four trends that support it, then. Yes, but you can't look at trends first. The trend has to be something that fits into something you already like. You can't just bet games based on trends. You'll get murdered that way, I'm telling you.
[00:38:08] Speaker C: Yeah, I agree. I mean, if you, if you look at a game and you like it and you break it down and then the trends kind of favor that too. I mean, you kind of like a little bit more, but you don't want to go into a game and just be like, hey, the trend says 70% because like sniper said, it's meant to get broken. And it could go in the opposite direction real, real quick. I mean, go back 10, 15 years ago, the packers at home below 30 degrees were like 40 and oh, over the last like 15 years are probably like 4 and 11. So trans getting reversed real quickly depending on the teams.
[00:38:41] Speaker A: All right, next game, what do we got? Broncos visiting the Niners here in the Bay Area. Niners favor by two and a half.
[00:38:49] Speaker B: Yeah. Tough game to call. Really.
I, I kind of like Denver, honestly.
They kind of fixed their offensive woes in the second half against the Rams. Obviously, they went down the field, they put up some points.
Maybe that carries over here. Maybe Davis Webb kind of got the monkey off his back for the offense. Still kind of waiting for that Denver defense to show up this year. They have not looked good. Same thing with the Texans. Like, all these teams we thought were going to have great defenses have not been playing great defense to come out the gate.
The Niners, yes, they've looked fantastic. But remember, they, you know, they kind of had to hold the Cardinals off there at the end of the game. They won 36 to 30, if I remember. And it just smells like a letdown spot for San Fran here. The three and oh, they're probably going to have a letdown at some point. Denver 2 and 1. You know, they're hearing all the Kansas City talk about them being, you know, back to the old Kansas City and The Raiders are 211 2.
So, you know, I, I think Denver shows up here and I'll, I hate, I mean, maybe buy it up to three if you want. If it's still sitting at two and a half, I would probably consider doing that. But I kind of like the Broncos side here and it's an ugly play once again, but like I said, if you're not betting ugly in the NFL, you're not doing it right.
[00:40:04] Speaker A: Aaron?
[00:40:04] Speaker C: Yeah, an interesting game. I mean, I don't think there's been a better team, more consistent team for the first three weeks than the Niners. I mean, they've looked great. I mean, big concern, all the injuries, keep losing guys week to week. I mean, Mike Evans, I doubt he's going to play. I mean, the pain he was in with that rib injury coming out of that game, they just, I mean, Trent Williams, they lost their tackle. So maybe that's an opportunity for the Broncos.
But the Broncos just been so inconsistent. The first half play in every game has been poor. I mean, they going back there was an interesting stat that the Broncos had only led like seven minutes all year, going late, third, fourth quarter, once they got the lead on the Rams, that was more mistakes by the Rams than anything. I'm going to go with a more consistent team that's playing better here. The Niners at home, they traveled to Seattle next week. So the opportunity to get to 40 is big here because you don't want to drop this game. And then they're likely going to lose at Seattle.
Hey, they can't, they can't afford that. So I'm, I'm going to ride the Niners here. I like the two and a half. If it goes to three, I might stay away from. But if you can get it at two and a half or two, more power to you. I like, I like the Niners here at home.
[00:41:19] Speaker A: Nice cheese. Fair by four and a half on the road against the newly revived Las Vegas Raiders.
[00:41:26] Speaker B: Yeah, give me the Raiders here. I'll take the four and a half. It's obviously you're getting inside the key number of four, which obviously three is the key number four is the key number two because a lot of times you get the 20 to 16, you get the 24 to 20. Right.
Obviously both teams three zero Raiders are three zero against the spread and they have been a. Actually no, they were favored against the Dolphins. Right? They. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They cover but they, but they still. They cover that game. But obviously a dog against the Chargers. A dog against the Saints and they won both those games outright. Not saying they're going to win here, but I do like them to be an active dog. They look good offensively. Man, they got Bowers back too. Bowers had a big game against the Saints last week.
They put up 27, 26 and 35. And I know the Chiefs have a pretty good defense but remember the Chiefs gave up 30 to the Colts. Right.
So you can score on this Kansas City team. Obviously Kansas City is going to want to run the ball with. With Walker and, and the Chiefs look great too but this is. I think it's too many points I gotta go with. By the way, I would have liked to have seen. I don't remember what this line was before the season started. If I had to guess this week four line was probably Chiefs minus seven against the Raiders. But it's four and a half now and probably justified. Give me the Raiders plus the four and a half.
[00:42:43] Speaker C: Yeah, I would assumed it was seven. I think it even opened this week at five. It's down to four and a half gone back and forth from this game. Look, I think the Raiders are a live dog and a lot of people are going to be betting them. I mean heck, you're getting a three zero team getting four and a half five points at home.
But I'm going to arrive at the Chiefs here. Kirk Cousins, I mean he turns the ball over a lot. He didn't last week. He had a great game against the Saints but that was more so. The Saints gave up four turnovers in the fourth quarter. They had a 27, 16, 16 lead. Mahomes and the Chiefs aren't going to do that. They're better defensive team as well. Walker's been great. Chiefs coming to Vegas. I mean I think a lot of people, the public especially is going to be on the Raiders here seeing that the three zero getting five points, it's going to be a popular play. Kansas City quietly comes in there, gets the job done. I think Kansas City wins by six or seven.
[00:43:31] Speaker A: Wow. All right. Chargers on the road against Seahawks.
Seahawks favored by seven points.
[00:43:38] Speaker B: Yeah, you know the Chargers had a historic not Only loss last week, but against the spread loss, because, you know, you were talking about trends and I forget the actual number, but the Bills had a minus four turnover margin against the Chargers.
And not only did the Bills win the game, but they covered 7 minus 7 and a half. Still, that is hard to do. Very, very, very hard to do. He lost by eight points. But I like the Chargers here. Seven and a half points. It's a desperate team.
I get that. Seattle's off the loss to Washington. They're going to be out for blood. They're back home and they're probably going to want to get back on track. I understand that, but you have a Chargers team. I mean, you can't go 04 in this division. You're toast if you go on four in this division. Not saying they're going to win the game, but I do think they're going to, you know, they're going to have their best game plan. They're going to put their best foot forward.
Herbert's got to play better. That offensive line, you know, just. It hasn't lived up to what they thought. You know, Slater and Alt, they came back, but they lost their center in the preseason, if you remember.
Offensive line hasn't done a great job of protecting Herbert.
It's another ugly game. But I'm going to take the seven and a half of the Chargers here.
[00:44:51] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, the Chargers, they played their ass off last week. Defensively, I mean, what. They forced five turnovers.
They had every opportunity to win that game. Missed a couple field goals.
Normally I would like the Chargers here, but the fact that Seattle got beat last week and defensively kind of got it taken to them, I think they're just going to be motivated at home.
Wes mentioned it. You got to beat up Chargers O line offensively. The Chargers are one of the five worst offensive teams in the league right now. Seattle's going to be licking their chops here. They've got the Niners coming in afterwards. I don't. Normally I would say they're looking ahead because you got an 013 Chargers team. But the fact that they lost, they're going to want to defend home field like crazy.
I'll lay the points here and take Seattle. I just think that defense is going to be out of their mind on fire and do enough to hold the Chargers back. So I'm going Seattle here at home.
[00:45:46] Speaker A: All right, time for the Sunday night game. Lions getting three and a half against the Carolina Panthers.
[00:45:53] Speaker B: Well, as. As the old expression says, it's give me something and twice on Sunday. Well give me the over and twice on Sunday here. I think it's a high scoring game. The Lions have scored, they scored 31 against the Saints, they scored 31 against the Bills and they've scored 31 against the jets and I think they scored 31 or more against the depleted Carolina Panthers defense.
I think the Panthers score a ton of points because the Lions defense is complete trash. This is sitting at 50 and a half, maybe 51 and a half and I don't think it's enough. I think both teams score about 30 points, maybe 28. 28 and goes to overtime or something. I think it was a very high scoring game. I think that Amon Rossi Brown is going to have a very big day because that Panthers secondaries beat up and I think they run the ball with Gibbs. I think they do whatever they want offensively. And Bryce young man, don't sleep on him. It's a contract year. He's out for that money and he's been playing, you know, last week, you know, the loss of Cleveland and everything but he's played well this year. He's made, you know, all the doubters start to come around and believe.
[00:46:54] Speaker A: I think I might have got the secondary mixed up with the Jags. Maybe that's why I took to England last week.
[00:46:59] Speaker C: Maybe Rome, maybe Panthers. Panthers got a lot of injuries, even some guys on offense. But I think Jalen Coker is going to be okay. Yeah, I mean it should be some points in this game. Like Panthers had been scoring a lot of points. They scored what, 37 week one against the Bears. Week two was good last week, struggled against Cleveland, but that was at Cleveland we talked about on the show. The Browns have a pretty good defense. Detroit's not stopping anybody. I mean the jets could have had some more points.
Saints scored what, 28, I believe 27 in the opener. Buffalo was 42. Should those should be a high scoring game. And you're getting Carolina at three and a half. So maybe a little parlay with the Panthers plus the points and the overs. Probably a good Sunday night action. This might be the first.
That's probably the first primetime game for Carolina in a long time either on a Sunday or Monday night.
They're being on for quite a while. And yeah, like Wes mentioned, Bryce Young contract year.
Now everybody gets to watch him on a standalone game Sunday night. I mean he did ball out in the playoffs against the Rams kind of in that Amazon standalone game.
A lot of points here and I'll take the passengers getting the three And a half as well.
[00:48:07] Speaker A: Nice. And for Monday Night Football, Falcons against the Saints. Saints favored by two and a half.
[00:48:14] Speaker B: I kind of like the over here again.
New Orleans is. They're actually two and one to the over. It feels like every Saints game goes over, even though one of them went under. I guess. I guess it was against the Ravens.
[00:48:28] Speaker C: Had to be weak too.
[00:48:29] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, 20. Yeah, 24, 17. But man, Tyler. Shit.
But I like Tyler Shug quite a bit. He's exceeded expectations. Played very, very well. Really well liked and respected in the locker room. I think the Saints have the franchise quarterback guys. I really, really like Tyler Shug a lot. Panicked, showed us what he can do. Obviously against the packers, they had a great game.
Bijon Robinson probably next to Jamar Gibbs, the best running back in the game.
And yeah, I think we see points here.
47 and a half.
That's doable. I think we could see something like a 30 to 27 game. 30, 24.
If I had to take a side.
It is two and a half, so it's tough. I'd probably take the Saints at home, maybe minus two and a half. But I like the over here again for prime time action.
[00:49:21] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, the Falcons, well, look, they. We know they give up a lot of yards passing. And I too agree. Tyler Schuck looks like the real deal. I mean, he is 27, 28, so he's almost our age if you look at it in terms of that. But yeah, points should be scored here. I mean, look, the Falcons have. Once you get a quarterback that can throw the ball. Pinnocks, you saw, they've got Bijon, he had a nice game. But Drake London finally got involved in the offense. Maybe Kyle Pitts this week as well. They've got plenty of guys. I agree. I think it's a shootout. And the number two and a half. I would tend to agree here with the Saints too. But you know, look, ETN is going to be out for the Saints running the ball. Bijan Robinson. Robinson might be the difference maker in this game too, but I think we're gonna see some points scored.
You know, 27, 24 is not out of the question here in a game like this.
[00:50:09] Speaker A: Who'd you have again? I'm sorry.
[00:50:11] Speaker C: I would probably lean towards the Saints getting the. Laying the points at home, but I. I agree. I think the better play is on the over here.
[00:50:18] Speaker A: Both on the over. Nice.
[00:50:20] Speaker C: Yeah, like I said, 24, 27. I don't think it's a problem here.
[00:50:24] Speaker A: Yeah.
Okay, cool. I think that covers It.
Final comments.
[00:50:30] Speaker B: Yeah, just make sure you get your coffee ready or your, your coffee, your Red Bull, along with your beer for, you know, Saturday night. Say, like I said, you got college football Saturday, then you go F1, and then you go NFL football. And you know, I'm not promoting drug use on this program, but, you know, wine and cocaine probably wouldn't hurt you either to stay up all week.
[00:50:57] Speaker C: Hey, a little cocaine and modern raging is not bad, some say out there in circles. So, yeah, I mean, it's, it's going to be a great, great weekend. I mean, it's loaded again. We got some great college football matchups. Like I said, you know, we got the late nights, Hawaii, San Jose State into the F1. Maybe you get a little two, three hour nap in there and boom, you're kicking off that London game, so you're ready to rock and roll. And hey, no excuses. You got all Sunday and Monday morning to sleep. So. So here we go.
[00:51:24] Speaker A: This is amazing. This is gonna be a big. And plus, we got baseball playoffs.
[00:51:29] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:51:30] Speaker C: Let's start Saturday as well.
[00:51:32] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:51:32] Speaker C: The nl, Diaz.
[00:51:33] Speaker A: So, yeah, you guys want to throw out any quick predictions as things kick off or maybe another day?
[00:51:39] Speaker B: Yeah, give me. I mean, you're. You're talking to the biggest Dodger fan in the world right here. And I like the Brewers. I like the brewers to win the World Series. I think the brewers are the best team in baseball. The Padres are the hottest team in baseball by far. They come in blazing hot. They were just the whole second half. But the brewers, man, Mizorowski, you can't hit them.
Very good pitching staff, very underrated lineup. Yeah, give me Milwaukee. I think they're plus 500 if you bet them today to win the World Series.
[00:52:06] Speaker A: That was my favorite pick before the season started and I'm kind of digging it. But I kind of like the Yankees now. They're starting to look pretty good, especially if Judge comes back and adds that lineup.
[00:52:17] Speaker C: I do think the Yankees come out of the American League, but our boy Jason, on sources from the sofa, he's a big White Sox guy. He's been giving us a lot of comparison notes between the White Sox and the Braves 2022, all similar trend stats that they had the same record at the same date, similar player on the team. So don't sleep on the White Sox. They've been playing really good baseball. Their pitching is going to be a big question mark, but they, they could score some runs.
Tampa, you know, more of a small ball team. So that I think could come back to haunt them. But I think in the American League, the Yankees come out of the American League and the National League. Look, the Padres are really, really playing really well.
Milwaukee, you know, the best team consistently really throughout the National League. Can they keep it going? You know, you got the Dodgers there, who they'll be playing either the Phillies or Braves here in the game three of that final mini wild card set tonight.
So, yeah, let's, let's see what happens.
[00:53:12] Speaker B: Yeah, let's. Let's not forget that the last time the White Sox won the World series was 2005.
And I don't know if you guys know who was in attendance during that World Series in Chicago, but it was future Pope Leo, who is now the Pope, who has officially blessed the White Sox.
[00:53:30] Speaker C: Yes, we've been hearing about it for a long, long time.
[00:53:34] Speaker A: It's gotten good.
[00:53:35] Speaker B: All right.
[00:53:35] Speaker C: A sudden, that's how Caleb Williams went from being out for the season a week to week. He was in blessed. He's been blessed.
[00:53:42] Speaker B: He got blessed by the holy water.
[00:53:44] Speaker A: Yes, 100%.
I'll do it. The Sofa wise guys and sources from the Sofa podcast. Follow us on the socials on YouTube. We got sniper Aaron and myself, Rome.
