[00:00:04] Speaker A: We recording Thursday night, shortly after Thursday Night Football, which was an exciting game between the Houston Texans and the Buffalo bills. Texas escape 23 to 19 defense showed out, which I've been harping on on how great they've been playing all year round and keeping that, that team alive for the playoffs. They are definitely in the hunt as, as they has crawled out the big hole that they started in the beginning of the season. Stroud is out, but now they got 10 days off where he'll probably come back in the next game after their little break. Buffalo, tough loss, tough interception to go out. They dropped to 7 and 4.
So now there is a little gap between them and the Patriots and they have a couple tough games up ahead, including my Steelers, I believe next Sunday and then Bengals before they see the Patriots middle of December. So things will be tight.
We'll see how the Patriots play throughout down the stretch. But they do have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL.
So it might. That might have been it. That might have been it. I don't think the Bills can catch up to them and any longer we will see. It is only two games, but it is a tough two games considering the schedule coming up, especially Bills have some tough opponents down the stretch. Houston, though, God, it's hard talking about Houston without talking about fantasy football because I had a.
It's just tough. But they did pull out the victory and they're, they're staying very competitive. Mills had himself a pretty good game.
[00:01:45] Speaker B: I.
[00:01:46] Speaker A: This might have been like one of the better Thursday night games we've had so far in the season. I have to go back and see what games we've had so far. I know we've had like at least maybe one or two games and the.
[00:01:56] Speaker B: First 12 weeks I would say, I would say Rome, the Steelers, Bengals and probably Rams 49ers or the other two Thursday night games stick out to me in this one. Yeah, I could be missing a game or two, but those, those three right now stick out to me.
[00:02:09] Speaker A: That sounds pretty good actually.
[00:02:11] Speaker C: I think Rome's utter descents never said before in podcasting that the he Houston Texans were just a big impact on fantasy football right now on a Thursday night.
[00:02:21] Speaker B: Eight sacks, eight sacks tonight.
[00:02:24] Speaker C: Did he start, did he start Davis Mills or like what was the, you know, the big thing?
[00:02:29] Speaker B: No, he had, he had, he had the Texans or Lions D. And you can see the expression on his face. Which one he chose.
[00:02:37] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:02:37] Speaker B: Didn't choose. Right.
[00:02:39] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:02:39] Speaker B: At least so it looks so far right now.
[00:02:41] Speaker A: I also needed a tight end for the second week. So I kept Schultz in. That's who I picked up last week. He did decent relief.
Didn't do anything for me today. And then I'll say touchdown.
[00:02:51] Speaker B: Mills missed him on a touchdown outside.
[00:02:52] Speaker A: Nico Collins and you can see it wasn't a good day for him too. Houston did well. The guys and me dropping the wrong defense to make room because I still need another running back this week and a quarterback.
That's why I had to drop the one of the defenses to pick up Brissette because both of my guys are out. So not happy about it. But fun game though. Really fun game.
This is definitely, probably win of the week already.
It's gonna be hard to top that one out. But what do you guys think about Texans from here?
Where they go from here?
[00:03:31] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, definitely keeping their playoff chances alive. You know, they're sitting, I guess, in the eight seed right now, so they're right behind Jacksonville, yet to play this week. You got a Chiefs team 5 and 5 hanging around.
Same with the Ravens. I mean, it's very tight when you look at pretty much 4 through 4 through 10, I guess if you want to call it in the AFC and where you're sitting at, where you really have the Broncos, Patriots, Colts kind of top there, where you got eight and nine wins respectively. So the, you know, even if one of those have is a, you know, bad December, you know, they'd likely be still in line for a wild card spot. But I think you have these other teams kind of jockeying for position, you know, the Texans, I think just one of those teams like didn't really believe in him much at the beginning of the season given the high expectations they had last year and didn't come through.
The protection of the quarterback obviously was a, was an issue.
And you know, with Stroud being out and Davis Mills, who, who's alleged legend in my mind because he single handedly is responsible for the Bears having Caleb Williams in the hall that they got for Bryce Young because they got the first overall pick because of a last seven heave by Mills that beat the Colts on the last play of the last game that gave the Bears the first overall pick a few years ago. So you seem confused, Rob. You don't remember that play.
[00:04:53] Speaker A: I don't. But it sounds familiar though. It's.
[00:04:56] Speaker C: It's in Bears lore. That's why Chicago loves Lovey Smith not only was a great Bears coach, but he engineered that one win as Houston Texans head coach to secure Chicago, you know, the first overall pick that year for them to trade it, you know, and get the haul. So but anyways, I mean just looking at the Texas, you know, Rome, I had to get this into the, the Bears somehow. But yeah, I mean it's good, good for Houston because you got a lot of teams like a lot of questions of the Bills so far this year.
Are they good? I don't know.
And right now you look at even more questionable. They're going to be two games down to the Patriots as you mentioned. Division very tough. They have a head to head matchup which helps them but they're still going to need a lot of help down the stretch to be able to get to, you know, the ASC east championship and then even two other teams with only two losses unlikely in the first round buy. So you know that hurts the Bills, puts them in this jockeying the Jaguars, you know, they've been up and down throughout this year and so that, that's a question. Questionable spot for Houston, but they've kept their playoff chances alive.
Be interesting. Wish Shroud does come back. What's he been out three weeks now, Aaron?
[00:06:02] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:06:04] Speaker C: So you know, when he comes back, what's it look like? They pretty much, I think said Joe Mixon's out for the year. I think there's some mixed reports on that.
[00:06:12] Speaker B: He is out for the year.
[00:06:13] Speaker C: Okay. And so, so he's out for the year. So you're not getting him. You got marks and, and some other players on the line. But the defense, you know, that could be a thing where the defense is carrying them down the stretch. And what do you, you need Stroud to be able to make some plays, not turn the ball over to, you know, don't lose the game and that and that could be competitive. And hey, they're playing for the playoff spot again because I think this is a defense we expected to be really.
[00:06:36] Speaker A: Really good with all the right matchups. Houston's D is so good it could wind up a Super Bowl, I think even with what they got going on now.
[00:06:45] Speaker B: Now you're going back to last year's nightmare, man.
[00:06:48] Speaker A: No, no, man.
It's a good defense. They've been.
[00:06:51] Speaker B: It's a great defense.
[00:06:53] Speaker A: It's a great defense. And plus they also have really big wins if in case it does come down to any tiebreakers. They beat the Jags early in the year, beat the Ravens early in the year. Now they've got the Bills. So if it gets bumble jumbled and everyone has five, six, seven losses at the end of the year, they're Going to have that edge to try, try to sneak in. And I'm assuming everyone else is going to at least pile on like another loss or two.
[00:07:16] Speaker B: I think the next two weeks, if you look at their schedule at Indy, at Casey's, kind of. Kind of determine where they're going to end up.
[00:07:21] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:07:22] Speaker B: So I saw an interesting stat. They have the number one total defense in points per game, in yardage.
[00:07:27] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:07:28] Speaker B: No team in NFL history that has had number one in both those categories has ever missed the NFL playoffs. So they do have that working for him. CJ Stroud, as Jason mentioned, should be back next game. They get 10 days in between break. Obviously. Colts play the Chiefs this weekend, which will be a big game. Jaguars travel to Arizona, which is a big game as we get down the stretch here. But Houston's. You know why I like them last year to get to the Super Bowl. Rome, you're bringing up old wounds here is because they do have a good defense and it's now great.
And, you know, I thought C.J. stroud would take that next step, but we've seen quarterbacks had a great freshman year, sophomore slump. Well, you've seen the same thing with Jaden Daniels, but their offensive line was not good last year. It's been shaky this year. Fortunately for them, Buffalo not very good on defense. Zero sacks today. Houston got eight on Josh Allen. That was a big difference. I mean, Buffalo got lucky to get that kickoff return for a touchdown because he ran into his own guy when the guy was already angled to make get the tackle and it kind of threw everything off and he breaks away for the touchdown. But to Jason's point, how good is Buffalo? They've lost some bad games and then they've won some good games where they beat the Chiefs. But how good really are the Chiefs at 5 and 5? They could be 5 and 6 after this week. Tampa Bay's really been struggling. So when Buffalo's gone against teams that are trending up like we saw the Patriots, Dolphins and now the Texans, they've lost. And then teams that have kind of been trending down, they've beaten up on bad loss for Buffalo because this team cannot go on the road and win two or three games in the playoffs. I just don't trust him with that defense. Not enough pass rush, not enough corners that can cover. So I think Buffalo's path to the super bowl was to get home field. That seems likely, like, it's gone.
They're a team, I believe, that's in trouble going forward the rest of the year.
[00:09:15] Speaker A: Hey, you guys are so harsh on these teams. All right, any other comments?
[00:09:20] Speaker B: You're talking Texan Super Bowl, Rob, you're not even talking playoffs. You're talking Super Bowl.
[00:09:25] Speaker A: I'm just saying they got defense of going to super bowl, man.
[00:09:28] Speaker B: Hey, Rome, you called me crazy when I said I'm there in the super bowl last year. I think this takes double down crazy, man. I think you might want to edit that part out.
[00:09:35] Speaker A: This defense can take him to the Super Bowl.
It really can.
[00:09:39] Speaker B: It's a super. It's a Super bowl defense. Yes.
[00:09:41] Speaker A: I. I'm like remembering like that.
That. That Ravens team that I wasn't a big fan of, both of them that won the super bowl or the defense was just phenomenal. And they had Flacco before he became Flacco. Flacco.
All the Flacos.
This is like rookie second year Flacco and then also was it Trent Dill for the.
The championship before that? And. And they weren't anything crazy. It looks kind of like this, actually, where they kind of play.
[00:10:08] Speaker C: I. I think you're overstating the Texans compared to how dominant that Ravens defense was. Like, the Ravens defense. I think there was a stat earlier this year, like, in like four games. The Ravens defense this year gave up more points in four games versus that. That team did an entire season like it was. It was a dominating defense that, you know, did not let you give you an inch. There was no bend but no break to that defense. So this Texans defense is good, but I don't think it's up there with that.
[00:10:36] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't know if we'll ever see a demons that good again, given how the games evolved and just the rules that are in favor of the offense and you can't, you know, do all the hitting and stuff, but. Yeah, that. The Ravens defense then was really, really nasty. This is a good Texans defense, but, yeah, I don't know. We're obviously a defense like that again.
[00:10:54] Speaker A: Yeah.
All right, It's Thursday night, so we'll do some NFL lines. Lots of games.
How many teams are on. On a buy this week?
[00:11:03] Speaker B: Is it four teams on a buy?
[00:11:05] Speaker A: I guess.
[00:11:06] Speaker B: I know Chargers and Broncos are. Let me. Let me see here.
[00:11:08] Speaker A: I definitely know they are.
[00:11:10] Speaker C: Yeah. You guys depleted my team. You got 14 games. So 28 teams. Four and.
[00:11:18] Speaker A: Okay, cool. Let me pull up Aaron slides.
[00:11:21] Speaker B: So Commanders. Commanders and Dolphins are the other two teams that are playing in Madrid that are on a buy.
[00:11:26] Speaker A: Once again, we are going by the circa sports lines from Vegas. Aaron, who has been Eliminated from the contest.
[00:11:39] Speaker B: Circus Survivor. Yes. Still playing the circa millions pick five every week there at Rome.
[00:11:43] Speaker A: Okay, nice.
How's that going?
[00:11:47] Speaker B: Kind of like the picks on this. Up and down.
[00:11:50] Speaker A: Nice.
That was a straightforward answer. I won't dig any deeper.
Let's get into it then. No international.
[00:11:56] Speaker B: I'll let you. I'll let you read between the lines. Since we're doing lines here on a Friday or Thursday here.
[00:12:02] Speaker A: Most definitely. Well, by the time everyone listens, it will be Friday morning lines for everyone.
But first game, my Steelers Saturday morning.
[00:12:11] Speaker B: I don't know if I've ever heard him say my Steelers have started game against Jason's Bears.
[00:12:16] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:12:16] Speaker A: Against Jason's Bears. You're right. The Bears are favored by 2 and a half. 45 and a half over under. This is for talking bragging rights, Jason.
Aaron, you go first.
[00:12:31] Speaker B: Well, I mean I'll get all right into it. I mean I think it's an insult that you're not even giving the Bears minus three. I mean they're giving them two and a half for one. I know Jason's gonna jump on that.
You know you got Aaron Rodgers. Is he gonna play? Is he not? I think he's kind of trending towards playing now.
[00:12:47] Speaker A: Told you so.
[00:12:49] Speaker B: We'll see how that goes. I would like to see him play because, you know, maybe the only quarterback in NFL history really to own two teams at one time. Being part time owner of the packers and owning the Bears. We saw the packers take back the keys to the kingdom.
I think the Bears take it back this week in Aaron Rodgers lease. Owning the Bears is done. I like Chicago. They got some big games coming up with the Eagles on Black Friday followed by a game that got flexed in now against Green Bay. Yeah, I like Chicago here. Give me the bears -2 and a half to beat your Pittsburgh Steelers. Rome.
[00:13:23] Speaker A: Yeah, you can go fuck yourself too, Jason.
[00:13:26] Speaker B: Plenty of times, buddy.
[00:13:29] Speaker C: I mean, as usual, Aaron's absolutely right in this room. It's an insult. Two and a half. Yeah, it's a huge insult two and a half. You know, the Bears not at least getting the three, but yeah, I hope Rogers place the Bears. I want the Bears to want Rogers to play in this because this is going to be Rogers last game ever at Soldier Field. You know, he's owned the Bears and he's. There's. You can't spin this any other way as a Bears friend. So you want to end it right for him. You want to give him the big L on the way out. So I want him to play. I want him to, you know, I want the Bears to take him out. And so this is the deep. This is a defense that could turn the ball over. That's what they're going to have to do.
The offense for the Bears got something to be desired. We talked about, you know, not finishing drives. You know, a lot of settle for field goals. They got the lot of big plays, but they're not doing it within the red zone a lot of times. And so I think that's what you need against the Steelers defense, which has gotten better. I, you know, definitely had a lot of questions. I know you, Rome, were very concerned about the Steelers D early in the season, but I think it's an interesting matchup and I do think the Bears, you know, really need this game. It's tough to say that about a 7 and 3 team needing this game, but the schedule is going to get a lot tougher. Eagles Black Friday, two games against the Packers 49ers on a Sunday night game in the Lions. You know, the only other game that's kind of, you know, a little bit easier, quote unquote game will be that Browns game coming up. So I think this is a game at home that the Bears need to win.
And so, yeah, give me the Bears.
[00:14:50] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm going for my steel this year. I really don't care. I think Rogers, you know, I'm not sure what, what to expect. I'm. I'm guessing a little bit of old Rodgers might come back. To me, he. This looks like his last year, so, yeah, probably the last time he'll ever be at Soldier Field. The defense has been really hit or miss. They have showed up to higher octane offenses though, just like the Colts. I expect them to get after it. This is a really big game. They're going to play for Aaron Rodgers. This team, they really like the old man behind center and they're going to go out and play for him. I'm hoping, just so I don't get my ass kicked by 60 points this week, that Metcalf actually gets me some points so I can take the loss with some dignity. Other than that though, it should be really fun and it's going to suck because I'm rooting for the Steelers without my daughter and. And if you guys know, they have won every time she's been next to me and it's been pretty dire when she's not next to me. So I, I don't know, I'm gonna probably grab her stuffies and put them all in Steelers Uniforms and like whatever I can find. And we're gonna be watching the game together. We have some ice cold ones and I might be drunk by 10:30 in the morning. We will see. But that's what's going to be. Steelers win in convincing facts fashion and Soldier Field and they start to decline the second half decline for the Chicago Bears.
Write it down.
All right, onto regular games now. Jets, Ravens, Ravens favored by 13 and a half, 44 and a half over under Jason.
[00:16:23] Speaker C: Yeah, really since Lamar came back and I think even before that when they had the, the game versus the Bears, the Ravens really starting to find themselves. And that's where you're talking about them making this run. I do think they win this game. But this spread, 13 and a half, man, that's, that's a really big spread for a team that, you know, went against a very, you know, not a great Browns team, but a good Browns defense, they didn't blow the Vikings out. That game was tight. The Dolphins game, you know, that was probably the only one that was a Thursday night. Thursday night games are weird. As bad as the jets have been all season and you want to bear them, bury them. They really haven't got blown out in a ton of these games. You know, they, you know, they lost by, they lost by 13 last week, seven week before. You know, a lot of tight games throughout the season.
I don't like the jets team. They're switching to Tyrod Taylor. So you, you know, I, I don't know if that's the move. I don't know if it's gonna get the offense started, but I still think the Ravens will win this game. But it's just too many points for me. Rome. So I'll take the jets plus 13 and a half.
[00:17:22] Speaker B: Oh, wow.
[00:17:22] Speaker A: Aaron.
[00:17:23] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm gonna agree with Jason here. I'm going jets plus 13 and a half as well. I mean, extra time to get ready for this game. Lamar spanged up knee, ankle.
They've got. Bateman's not going to play again. Likely their tight end, one of their two tight ends is hurt.
Ron Smith hamstring a couple other guys. They're gonna play, but you know, they're not going to be at 100%.
One thing about the jets, they get blown out, but they get blown out at home. If you look at all the high number, at the high number spread games as you follow the trends, they've covered all these games against, what was it, Tampa Bay. They did not, they didn't cover by half a point last week. 12 and a half against New England. But you know they covered Tampa Bay, covered at Cincinnati.
I think they're going to cover here as well. Not sure. I think Tyrod Taylor's better overall pocket passer than Fields who's just really inconsistent but he doesn't have the mobility for me. Can their defense show up and can they get hall running the ball well in the backfield? But agree I think 13 and a half is a big stretch here. I'm going to take the jets here getting 13 and a half on the road.
[00:18:29] Speaker A: Yeah, we talked about earlier in this season where I point out the jets are pretty competitive on the road, not so much at home. I expect that to be true as well. The paths that's divisional game and the paths were ready so that's a little more palatable like easier to predict on here. But Ravens haven't looked good this year either. Even I, I know that what they're are they like on a three or four game winning streak?
I'm just not convinced. I know Aaron was petitioning for them to be on number, number eight on the power rankings. For a moment I was entertaining the Bears to put them in there. Almost like a reverse jinx because as you know, as I put teams on the power rankings six or eight, they lose the following week.
[00:19:08] Speaker C: The first, the, the first place Chicago Bears. Okay, I got it.
[00:19:12] Speaker B: So favor Jason not throwing him.
[00:19:15] Speaker A: Aaron was so against me putting the Bears. I actually have a draft with the Bears on there and I was ready to post. He's like, you can't put the Bears in there. Was pretty upset. I was like, whoa, whoa.
I didn't mean to throw you.
[00:19:27] Speaker B: I made the case. I made the case. The Ravens have won four in a row. They beat the Bears when they played a few weeks ago. I, I just feel, and plus I'm doing a favor for Jason too. I want to keep him off the eight line for at least another week before they go to Black Friday and well, it could be a Black Friday for Bears fans but we'll hold off on that.
[00:19:45] Speaker A: All right, so unanimous decision on the jets next game. Giants Lions. Lions favored by 10 over under is 50 points. That's really high and I'm a little nervous because I put the Detroit defense in there. Bad call by me. It is just not a good year. Back from retirement into fantasy football, Jason.
[00:20:08] Speaker C: Yeah, kind of went back and forth on this one. I, you know we talked about the, the Lions offensive play calling situation with Dan Campbell and where this team just seems out of, out of grips whether they get the running game right. What Goff's performance is bad. As bad as the Giants have been all season. Again, another looking at another, you know, pretty significant spread for a team that like their biggest loss over 10 points in the last like what entire season or two months has been just the at Eagles game. But you look at how competitive they were at the Broncos in Chicago, you know, and even last week versus Green Bay with Jameis starting up. 10 points again to me is a lot. I'll take the giants plus 10.
[00:20:51] Speaker B: Aaron yeah, I mean the Giants have played well over the last, you know, six, seven games since dart came in the lineup. Jameis came in last week there, had a chance to beat the Packers, a team that was kind of up and down. Detroit coming off a really bad game. But we've seen Detroit. Every time they've had a bad game, they bounce back the following week with an ass whooping. This game's in the controlled environment in the dome. I think the Lions get things going again.
The run game, pass game was not great against the Eagles, but this isn't the Eagles defense. This is the Giants young team can get after the quarterback. I am worried about the offensive line for the Lions if it has some guys banged up and guys going in and out.
But I think Jamis Winston, you know, this defense for the Lions is legit. I think he's going to throw some turnovers in this game. We know the Lions can play and get after you. To me just don't feel like the Giants have enough on offense to keep pace, which means Jameis is going to try to do too much which is going to lead to turnovers. I like The Lions here -10 at home to get back in the win column.
[00:21:55] Speaker A: Lions really underperformed in the last game, but that's also maybe just how good and dominant the Eagles really are. I think, you know, usually there's like a little market correction here. They do really well responding, addressing the issues that they've had beforehand. This is a really good defense. Team still finding their groove. New play calling, new coordinators as we know on both sides of the ball. But I think it is going to go in the Lions favor on this one.
I'm expecting multiple interceptions from, from Jameis Winston just clinging the ball, slinging the ball rather than. But Lions respond really big. I think they do cover the 10, 10 points but barely.
Next game, another high scoring game. Pats, Bengals PAT's favored by six and a half.
[00:22:44] Speaker B: Aaron yeah, it looks like Joe Burrow is going to be back in this Game, I think really bread has gone down.
[00:22:50] Speaker A: Yeah. Did they just announce it today? That's what's next.
[00:22:53] Speaker B: I. I think he's trending upwards towards playing in this game. And I think Joe Burrow is going to play in this game. I know Jamar Chase is out.
I think this is the upset of the week.
[00:23:03] Speaker A: I like the Jamar Chase should be out.
[00:23:05] Speaker B: Yeah, I like the Bengals to win outright. I think the Patriots seen that Buffalo lost, kind of, you know, looking ahead, feeling good about themselves. I think Joe Burrow is going to be that spark that the Bengals need.
And I like the Bengals to win this game outright. So I'll take them plus six and a half. That's of course, if Joe Burrow does play, but I'll still take the Bengals here. Six and a half.
[00:23:25] Speaker A: Jason.
[00:23:27] Speaker C: Yeah, not as strong with Aaron. Is thinking that the Bengals can pull up this upset, but I am, I think, more bullish on what this Bengals team will look with Burrow under center. I think, yeah, the Jamar Chase thing, that, that kind of worries me a little bit. But I think Joe, Joe has be able to use different resources. T. Higgins and a bunch of other weapons.
Yeah. Yeah. So I think there's. I think there's a lot there.
And as I, you know, even though it's his first game coming back, I mean, even Flacco was able to get a lot out of this offense. That's still there.
Six and a half is a lot of points. I think Aaron even mentioned where the Patriots that they've been running hot. But again, I like the Bengals plus six and a half as well.
[00:24:04] Speaker A: Bengals, ever since they've gotten Flacco, they've scored 33 points against my Steelers win, barely lost against the jets from like a very poor last five minutes in the fourth quarter. 38 points in that one. Lost another tough one, 42 points against the Bears.
Then last, the revenge game against the Steelers. Steelers defense showed out. They got some turnovers, got some things going that's more on the Steelers defense. This is going to be another high scoring game. They've been pretty consistent. Flaco's done pretty well whether he's playing or you really think so. Like, you know, it's really funny when, when like a quarterback's out with an entry. We did not see any video of like JJ moving around or anything like that.
[00:24:45] Speaker B: And he came back, won his first game.
[00:24:49] Speaker A: But we've seen lots of video already of Burrow and he looks really eager to get back. There was rumors that he might just take the year off depending on where they were. But then that was squashing. He's like, I gotta come back no matter what. So I'll take the Bengals with the points. I'm not sure how it's gonna go. We know Pat's are on a pretty big winning streak right now. That's bound to end eventually, but six and a half points. I'll take it.
Jason, real quick, did you have the Bengals of the points or you had the Pats.
Bengals, Bengals. Okay.
[00:25:21] Speaker B: Yeah, so I'm reading up on Burrow like he. He did a full practice on Wednesday. Looks like he took individual drills today.
Yeah, they said they're probably targeting more Thanksgiving, but I'll. I'll still ride with the Bengals here. Getting six and a half. I think it's a lot of points.
[00:25:35] Speaker A: Yeah, 100.
All right, Seahawks, another dude. What's up with these spreads? Thirteen and a half favored over the Titans, 40 over under Jason.
[00:25:47] Speaker C: Yeah, a lot of. A lot of points. Again, don't love the west to east Seattle, going to Tennessee into the eastern time zone. But Seattle's, you know, they're a bit of a road warrior team. You know, last year, this year they're four and one on the road. Their last, their loss was their one loss was just last week against the Rams down in la. That was close. And really just, you know, a showdown of two of the better teams in the league. So across the country to the Titans. The Titans just, I mean, they just been bad all season, zero and five at home. And I think in the last two opportunities that the Seahawks have played like a subpar opponent. You look at the Cardinals and the Commanders the two weeks prior, they really beat up on them.
It's a lot of points, but I'm going to take the Seahawks -13 and a half.
[00:26:33] Speaker A: God damn. All right, Aaron.
[00:26:37] Speaker B: Agree. I mean the Titans, the only way they ever cover any game is by luck. I mean, last week the Titans were up seven. They scored six points in 58 minutes. They get some lucky throws, cover, tie that game up. Texas won by a field goal game against the Chargers. They were down 10, got a late field goal on the last drive. So it's always last drives of these guys. Arizona got lucky like with.
We already know what happened in that game.
Seattle's. I'm not worried about them traveling because they play better on the road than at home, which is one of the weird teams in the league. As long as Darnold and those guys don't turn the ball over. I think they win by 20 points easily here so I'll take Seattle -13 and a half.
[00:27:15] Speaker A: Jason, you at Seahawks?
[00:27:17] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:27:18] Speaker A: With the points. All right.
Yeah. Looking back on the tie in schedule every time they play one of these premier teams, Colts, it is at least by 14 points. That should be enough to cover. It's been 14 to 21. I think on every loss they do really well though middle of the pack and you're right, they've gotten lucky on a few of these things even against the charters. But I would normally put the charges in that leap corner. But we all know what the chart has been doing. It's been up and downs, roller coaster. It's like some right at Six Flags or whatever.
13 Half's a lot, but I'll roll with it as well.
Vikings, packers pack favored by six and a half for 41 and a half over under Jason.
[00:28:04] Speaker C: Yeah, an interesting line.
Don't know what to think of the packers week to week right now. And same thing kind of goes with the Vikings with what they're going to be doing offensively with with jj. I mean that we talked about it in the recap last week. I think the Vikings easily win this game if someone else is that quarterback.
But with that being said, I think Kevin o' Connell knows what probably what he has to do offensively to get this team going. I think Justin Jefferson needing to get the ball, I think he's. They said a lot of that telecast on what he was doing as a leader this season to try to get it up and going. On the flip side, the packers, you know, they've had some, they've had some real ups and downs, you know, going on. And Jordan loves really had a bunch of those games too.
I just don't love. I think the packers to be able to cover that much. I don't have a strong feeling either way. And one of these, either one of these teams can do right now, the packers early on, hey, this is one of the best teams in the league. And then all of a sudden they go nowhere. I mean there's really even a question on like, what, hey, what is their true identity as a football team? And a lot of people like complaining about lafleur at this point too. I'm like, what he can do? Which is kind of crazy to me.
[00:29:09] Speaker A: They're saying I'm a hot seat. I'm like, I know.
[00:29:11] Speaker C: Which is crazy. I mean like, I mean this is, this is my arch nemesis as a Bears fan, but I'm like, hey, this guy has like put a great team out there. The packers have had One of the youngest teams in the league. They always talk about Green Bay not being one of those destination, like free agency. People want to go sign up to go live in Green Bay.
But they've always kind of, you know, done things in the draft and lafleur has made the most out of it. There's questions on Jordan Love. I've been questioning you on that. Rome, you call me out. I think you've been. You're hyping my take to be more aggressive than it is. But he has some bad interceptions in a lot of these games and I think it's rightfully due. I just don't trust the packers to cover that much in this game. So I'll take the Vikings plus six and a half.
[00:29:48] Speaker A: I don't think the packers have really covered a lot of these games, actually.
I think Steelers. That was the last time they covered. That was more than a month ago.
[00:29:59] Speaker B: Yeah, it was a push last week against the Giants.
Yeah. I mean, six and a half's a lot. I mean, I think for. For Minnesota's. What are you going to get from jj? I mentioned last week what's weird about him is he hasn't won a home game, but guess what? He hasn't lost a road start. He won at Chicago. He won at Detroit. All divisional games. I think they win again out right here in Green Bay. I like Minnesota getting six and a half. If JJ can make at least three quarters or half the throws that he missed last week against the Bears and this defense shows up, I think it's gonna be a tight game and the Green Bay's not blowing anybody out. How good is this offense going to be about Tucker Craft? They've not looked good without.
You know, they got some stuff going late second half against the Giants, but that first half was rough. Watson being back is big for them. Jacobs may or may not play. I think he's probably leaning. I think he's actually going to suit up, but we'll see how effective he is. I think his carries will be limited, but Minnesota, this is a big game. I agree with Jason. I think Kevin McConnells can call a good enough game plan. You're going to get a lot of zone coverage, which means you're going to have a lot of underneath passes.
Take them when they're there. Run the ball with Jordan Mason.
Control. Time of possession. Close game. I like the Vikings here getting six and a half.
[00:31:15] Speaker A: I'm sorry, Jason, I. I totally missed your pick again. You had the Vikings, the points.
[00:31:19] Speaker C: Vikings. Yes.
[00:31:21] Speaker A: Sorry.
[00:31:22] Speaker C: I miss yours too. Some of the times. So, yeah, you'll talk in service.
[00:31:26] Speaker A: That's the first time I. I'm not just. Because ever since I just heard you pick the Bears, I'm just been like, you know, oh, you just saw that? Just.
[00:31:33] Speaker C: Just fuming over me picking the Bears, huh?
[00:31:35] Speaker B: I think whatever you pick is just writing down the opposite. So when you're like, oh, hey, I went nine and five. So I go, I got you at five or nine.
[00:31:41] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
[00:31:44] Speaker A: You know, valid points on both sides.
Packers are kind of due for a breakout game and I feel like this might be it.
I'm. I'm gonna take the Vikings to the points, but this is like Sunday. I'm. I'm probably tweeting. I have a good feeling. I'm gonna be tweeting, like, take the pack. Pack with the points. They're going to show out.
Just a lot of commotion, lots of drama. Seems like them. The Eagles have the most drama around the league for like the really good teams. You don't really hear that for anybody else.
Yeah, I don't know.
[00:32:17] Speaker B: I'm a. I mean, I want to say isn't like mountain floor, like have the best win like in the top three. Win percentage of coaches over like his first probably six, seven seasons coaching. Dude.
[00:32:27] Speaker A: It was some analyst.
[00:32:28] Speaker B: I remember 13 games his first three years as a coach. I think he the only coach ever in NFL history to do that. First three, three.
[00:32:34] Speaker A: It was against the Eagles Monday night. Somebody on that telecast automatically said, laor is on the hot seats. Like, dude, what the hell?
[00:32:41] Speaker B: I did hear that. I did hear that.
[00:32:43] Speaker A: So dumb. And I was. I was on Twitter too. I was. I was pretty active calling bunch.
[00:32:49] Speaker B: I seen an article that week too Rome, where they give like, you know, a chart of like 1 through 5 and they put like little fire marks by your name. And he had like a three and a half four, which is ridiculous.
[00:32:59] Speaker A: That's crazy, man. That's crazy.
[00:33:01] Speaker C: I. I was, I was look looking on Twitter. I wanted it up for going back to like the.
The packers and talk about Matthew golden right now and where he has been overall. I mean, this was a guy that they drafted in the first round for Green Bay and really spent. I don't think any. He has nine games so far this year, only 24 catches for 286 yards. Like, this is, you know, I'm not talking bust 30 early in the career, but when you look at a bunch of the wide receivers in the first round that haven't had any type of production, it's a Bunch of guys that just basically disappear because those are one of the positions wide receivers you generally come acclimate and make big contributions right away. And that that was a big swing for the packers. You remember was a much thing about during all the time that Aaron Rodgers he never had a first round you know wide receiver draft. Did they finally do this and did the packers whiff on that would it should be very unpacker like to whipping out whiffing on a draft pick that was that early play calling has been.
[00:33:57] Speaker A: A little weird though this year for the pack too.
[00:34:00] Speaker B: Well I mean I don't know so much play call. I mean Golden's kind of me is like a one trick pony. He's a speedster right. He's a small guy. He's right he's banged up of his shoulder. He's kind of like an Xavier Worby out of Texas. You know one of these guys that can get vertical but does vertical work when we get in cold weather and it gets windy not really the big position guys that are 6 3-642-20 that can box guys out and still run by you I think they're more important. I. I'm not wasn't as high on golden as everybody else. I think the packers felt the pressure having the draft in Lambo to finally do something they haven't done in I don't know what 25, 30 years. I forget whatever the last time they took a number one wide receiver in.
[00:34:37] Speaker A: The first round and that's why they haven't done it.
[00:34:39] Speaker B: And so yeah, I mean I'm not sold on Golden.
I think they kind of. He could be used kind of like a gadget guy. Maybe get some more reverses, screen passes and stuff like that. But I'm not.
I don't think it's going to be anything anybody really expected. I don't think it'd be the elite wide receiver in this league hasn't had.
[00:34:58] Speaker C: A touchdown his first 11 weeks. A couple of the names in the past like decade and a half the wide receivers draft in the first round with no touchdown through 11 games. I'll throw my Bears under the bus in this. Kevin White who was drafted in the.
[00:35:10] Speaker B: Top out of West Virginia.
[00:35:11] Speaker C: Yep. Nelson Aguilar, Devonte Parker, USC Devonte Parker, Josh Dotson, Corey Davis, Mike Williams of the Chargers, John Ross of the Bengals.
Nikhil Harry, Rashad Bateman Kadarius Tony trailing Burks.
[00:35:29] Speaker B: So Berks have been cut like by three teams already. Yeah, I think he's on Washington's practice squad or Something now.
[00:35:36] Speaker C: So, I mean, I read you all those names is like not really, you know, elite company you're talking about. And that's what I was kind of just saying, like you, you draft these guys from a skill position player. Like these are first contract guys because you draft a skill position player, they're, they're contributing in year one and through year four or five when you get them in there because it's a, it's a little bit of a cheaper deal versus you have to pay them big money.
[00:35:58] Speaker B: Also, I think with the packers staying on them, I mean, they got a lot of guys. I mean, obviously Christian Watson's back now, but they got Romeo Dobbs.
I think he's coming back, isn't he?
[00:36:09] Speaker C: Not that he was done for the year. I think Rome's right on that one.
[00:36:14] Speaker A: But that big ass helmet, he's gone.
Okay, that's a big ass helmet too.
[00:36:19] Speaker B: Who's the other guy that got broke his collarbone in week one or week two?
[00:36:22] Speaker C: I don't know. I'm not going to in my packers memory right now.
[00:36:25] Speaker B: Yeah, because that's the one that's coming back. I started practicing again because he had like a foot injury and yeah, broken collarbone. So. But yeah, I mean, packers got a lot of guys, but losing Tucker Craft was the main, main loss for them.
[00:36:38] Speaker A: It's huge.
[00:36:40] Speaker C: No, Aaron's, Aaron's right. Romeo Dobbs. Quite a limited practice on Thursday.
[00:36:44] Speaker B: Yeah, I thought he was coming back. I mean, that's the guy I'm talking about. Collarbone, right?
[00:36:49] Speaker C: No, his was wrist. You had, you got Watson with the knee, you got Wicks with the calf. They're all questionable.
[00:36:56] Speaker A: Wait, I, I, I think it's the Broncos that lost somebody.
[00:37:01] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Or Dobbins. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's out for the year. Yes.
[00:37:06] Speaker A: Yeah, he just went out.
All right. Colts, Chiefs. Chiefs here by three and a half at home. Another 50 banger. Aaron, who you got?
[00:37:17] Speaker B: Yeah, you're telling me the team with the better record, better team overall off of buys getting points and you're giving me the hook. Three and a half, I think. Shane Steichen, the Colts go in there and pit the Chiefs officially on deep, deep live support because that's where they're going to be if they lose this game. Give me the Colts, Jonathan Taylor, big game. I think they're going to win outright, but I'll take the three and a half. If the Chiefs do win, it's a late field goal. I like the Colts plus three and a half off a bias. Healthy, ready to rock and roll.
[00:37:47] Speaker A: Nice, Jason.
[00:37:48] Speaker C: Yep. Agree with Aaron. I like the Colts better overall and with a three and a half, even if the Chiefs pull this up like Aaron's right in a late field goal that they still cover.
But I'm not going to be shocked at the cheat. The Colts actually win this game.
[00:38:01] Speaker A: Yeah, that's a clean sweep there.
All right, on to the afternoon games. We have Jags, Cards, jacks here by three points on the road in Arizona 47 and a half over under Aaron.
[00:38:17] Speaker B: Yeah, this is an interesting game. I mean is it a trap game? Jaguars coming off that great, impressive Cardinals. Cardinals just getting destroyed by the 49ers. To me, Jaguars and 49ers are kind of interchangeable. Kind of the same teams on opposite coast. Don't know what you're going to get week to week they played each other. It was a tight game early in the year.
I'm going to ride with the Jags. My guy, Liam Cohen. I think the run game and the defense is a difference here. Cardinals have no run game and their defense is kind of up and down, banged up. I know they're getting some guys back in the secondary, but I think run game and defense travel well. We've seen that with the Texans. What they can do to me, the Jaguars not as good defensively but more balanced on offense. I'll take the Jags here minus three to get the win in the desert.
[00:39:01] Speaker A: Jason.
[00:39:02] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm going to agree with Aaron on this. I think you're right. Rome there is a little bit of trap feel to this, but I think the Jags got found something. You know we talked about that run game in the recap last week and what they. What they found a little bit in this last week having both running backs starting to get things going.
Cards, they're going to be without Marvin Harrison again. I think he had a appendix surgery. So, you know, out with one of your bigger weapons already with the backup quarterback playing there.
Jags are in a fight right now for a playoff thing and in two weeks in a row, you know the Cards, you know where they got blown out two weeks in a row now. I'm pretty sure if I ever remember correctly, thought it was 20 plus points in both games, right? 44, 22 and 41 22.
[00:39:44] Speaker B: So yeah, yeah, they got beat. Brad here. Seattle was up, what was it, 380 in the first half in that last game and the Niners were a pretty big too in this one. So.
[00:39:52] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:39:52] Speaker B: So after that impressive Monday night winning against Dallas, two blowouts yeah because that's.
[00:39:56] Speaker C: Where you talked about going to that Dallas game where they had, they had been close in pretty much all these games have blown out two weeks in a row. I don't know they definitely, probably don't get blown out to the Jags but I, I think the Jags able to cover this three.
[00:40:08] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't think they get blown on this one. Ironically even though they became blown out Brissette, they're averaging 340 yards in the air and averaging about 30 points so pretty crazy considering all that stuff. I'll go with the jack though for this Browns Raiders Raiders favorite at home 36 Aaron yeah 36 is low over.
[00:40:33] Speaker B: Under I mean Shor Sanders making his first NFL career start don't like it but I mean I, I, I can't back the Raiders at home -4 here. I mean they just don't have anything offensively they can't run the ball. Brown's got to top five defense.
All they got is Brock Bowers. Jensen's not going to do anything to me. It's a low scoring tight game.
[00:40:55] Speaker A: Hey, I, I need J to do something.
[00:40:58] Speaker B: Yeah, he's not, he's not going to do anything wrong. I told you to cut him. Why? You had the chance, you didn't do it. You didn't listen to me.
Maybe, maybe you will next week, maybe you won't but I'm going to go. The Browns plus four I think their run game and defense is better than the Raiders run game and defense I, I don't trust Ruror throws a lot of picks but hopefully we could practice. He'll simplify the game plan and just be like dude, take the underneath throws and if you got one on one, throw it deep. Don't throw in a double coverage. Just I, I just don't trust the Raiders as a four point favorite at home against anybody Against a defense like the Browns I'll take the Browns.
[00:41:33] Speaker A: There's no tape on Shore.
[00:41:35] Speaker B: There's plenty of tape. It ain't pretty. That's why he went to the fifth round.
[00:41:40] Speaker A: Jason.
[00:41:41] Speaker C: Yeah, I, I don't know if this game ever makes it to the red zone channel if you're going to be watching that on Sunday I think we're just going to be dueling teams around midfield not being able to move the ball or just throwing a bad interception one way or the other.
I, I can't trust the Raiders either and I think I just really like the Browns defenses. That's kept him in a ton of games where the Raiders have just lost games. But Shador is the wild card in this because if he tries to take things into his own hands and don't play within his himself and the running game on Cleveland, I think that's how they can easily throw the game away in Cleveland. I will lean that. You know, they will. They will control the ball. A week of preparation for Shadur, they'll have that idea. What they want to do, allow this Browns defense to create turnovers against a bad Raiders offense. I'll take those points as well for the Browns plus four.
[00:42:29] Speaker A: A lot of people said lots of mixed things about Shador when he came in in relief. He definitely did not look ready for all this talk and all that bling.
But he also had some pretty nice throws at just a lot of guys.
[00:42:40] Speaker B: Rome, he doesn't have any bling anymore because his house got robbed while he was out there in the fourth quarter. So you ain't got to worry about that, man. He ain't got to worry about the bling because it's gone.
[00:42:50] Speaker A: It's gone. But I. I truly think that there's, like, a power struggle in Cleveland where they're purposely sabotaging Shador, mainly because Stefanski did not want him there, and that was more like a GM ownership kind of thing. I'm kind of buying that narrative. But he is really talented. He can move his legs. I think they're going to score some points here, and the Browns defense is going to really control that Raiders offense. Raiders have no offensive line. They got holes everywhere. It's more leakier than, I don't know, put in whatever analogy. I got nothing planned up right now, but give me four points. The Browns. Hell, yeah. I think Shador. This might be his only chance to show out, actually. He's. He got put in a bad situation.
This is it for him because Gilbert's gonna come back and he's gonna have to, like, audition for his next NFL opportunity because this is it. All right. Falcons, Saints.
[00:43:46] Speaker B: I think another thing. Room. Before we get to that, I think. I think Daddy Dion's gonna be there. Colorado's got a home game Saturday. I think he makes a trip to Vegas. So I think Daddy will be there at the game.
So we'll see how it goes. Man. I. I think it's. When Daddy's there, he plays pretty well. So. Browns plus four.
[00:44:03] Speaker A: All right.
[00:44:05] Speaker B: New trend. I'm starting there. What's the trend when Daddy Dion's there? Shador plays well, man.
[00:44:12] Speaker A: Falcons, Saints, saints favored by two and a half. 40 and a half over. Under Aaron. Go ahead.
[00:44:21] Speaker B: Yeah, I saw the Pinnock out for the year. What? He had partially torn acl. Getting surgery on that. Drake Landon out as well.
[00:44:28] Speaker A: How many season ending injuries has he had in his career now with college?
[00:44:32] Speaker B: This is his third ACL surgery.
[00:44:34] Speaker A: Dude.
[00:44:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:44:36] Speaker A: Why would they go after him?
Who would have saw this coming?
[00:44:40] Speaker B: I couldn't see Nicole. I mean, what do you got once you got two ACL tears at like 21? I mean, the writing's kind of on the wall. I mean, you take the gamble, right? You got him on a rookie contract. They got talent there, but they just haven't ever made things work with Pitts. Drake. Landon's their best wide receiver. He's out.
There's something weird about the Saints are coming off a buy off the biggest win of the season against the Panthers. I'm gonna ride with the Saints here at home. I mean, I. There's for me, the Falcon season's over.
Saints, I think they smell some blood in the water and I'm gonna arrive at the Saints here minus two and a half at home.
[00:45:15] Speaker A: For as bad the Saints have been, they're not that bad. They've been kind of entertaining for a bad.
[00:45:19] Speaker B: They play well.
[00:45:20] Speaker A: It's like a lot of hope.
[00:45:20] Speaker B: They play. They play well at home.
[00:45:23] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:45:23] Speaker C: Jason, this is another ugly, disgusting game they're gonna be watching this afternoon slate is awful.
[00:45:30] Speaker B: It's bad.
[00:45:30] Speaker A: It's bad.
[00:45:32] Speaker B: So this is an afternoon slate where we need F1, but we get it Saturday night.
[00:45:36] Speaker C: It is Saturday night. I. I booked my flight wrong. I'm gonna be honest. I'm gonna be flying in the middle of the morning games. They're in the Bears game, which is an absolute mistake. But I should have been doing a little bit later here during these games because this is awful. Yeah. I don't know. Whatever. Whatever side I go with in this game, it's going to probably be absolutely wrong. I don't understand how the Saints have been competitive in some of these games, but I don't understand how the Falcons have been as bad as they. They should have been. I feel like Bijan Robinson should give a ton more carries. They have. You know, they got Tyler Algier there as well too, so I don't understand why this running game hasn't taken off to even bigger heights than it's supposed to be at.
I'm. I'm gonna go opposite Aaron. I'm just going to take the talent of the Falcons right now in the running game to get things going. You still got a Backup quarterback in for the Saints, I believe.
What's his name? Tyler, is it? Show, show, show, show. I think he's starting again.
I think he's feeling more confident, but I don't know, I, I, there's got to be something here with the Falcons plus two and a half. I think on two bad teams I'll take the points fair.
[00:46:41] Speaker A: I'm actually gonna side with the Saints on this one. It's more of like a who has the better coach. I have more trust in the Saints head coach. Lots of Twitter X thread conversations about Morris being the head coach. Lots of old stuff coming around. How, you know, Falcons passed over a lot of good candidates and said this is our guy.
So I don't know, man. Falcon season is in flames.
I thought that was going to be the Dolphins. Dolphins are riding the ship miraculously despite everything going against them. The Falcons though, I think this might be it. I think it's a two year deal. I think he gets axed. He's in the hot seat in Atlanta and I'm feeling pretty confident about that one. I'll take the Saints favorite at home. Why not?
You're saying all the afternoon games are bad. I don't think it's too bad because we got Jack's Cards.
[00:47:39] Speaker B: Eagles, Cowboys, Jackson could, I mean that's a toss up if it's going to be good. I mean Browns, Raiders, Falcons, Saints.
Yeah, they're not.
[00:47:49] Speaker A: It could be entertaining.
[00:47:50] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean I'm sure it'll be like not 10 to nine, you know.
[00:47:54] Speaker A: All right, well, we got Eagles, Cowboys to finish it off in the afternoon.
Eagles feared by 3 and a half, 47 and a half over under Jason, who you got?
[00:48:06] Speaker C: Yeah, Cowboys. Cowboys can score.
This is, and this is a game defensively for the Cowboys. Can they hold up against an Eagles team like and I say this week over week, when you're checking out the, the Steel, the Eagles offense, like can they do anything besides the tush push? Because we the receivers are never happy with what Jalen Hurts is doing. Saquon hasn't had the year that we thought he would have and we're waiting for this team to kind of break out. The Cowboys, they can do some things offensively but you know, overall, defensively it's, it's, you know, teams have been able to score a lot, three and a half points, quite a bit for cover for the Eagles on the road in Dallas. But in considering what the won the last two games, they scored 10 and 16 points. Just crazy offensively that they can't Put more of that together. I just think against a a little bit less than stellar Cowboys defense, even though they get a little bit better, I trust that the Eagles best team in the nfc. We long say they need to keep pace against some good teams out west like the, like the Rams and Seahawks.
So I will take the Eagles minus three and a half.
[00:49:18] Speaker B: Aaron, I've gone back and forth on this game.
I mean Jason pointed out, I mean the Eagles have gotten 10 and 16 points over the last two games. I mean a lot of chatter within the clubhouse. I'm not happy at Jalen hurts. This isn't so much the media but just a team in general. I saw a story came out, you know, that he's not, you know, seeing the field right. Making the quick throws, kind of scared to throw into tight windows because he doesn't want his stats to look bad. With interceptions possibly and completion percentage. The run game for the Eagles just hasn't been there.
Their offensive lines banged up. Lane Johnson out for what, four to six weeks and their center and guards have been banged up. Cowboys, yeah, they got some new additions but how big of a help are they? They played against the Raiders who are God awful on offense. Not a really good parameter to get a good read on them. But Jason said it best. Cowboys could score but the Eagles defense has just been shutting teams out. What they've done against the Lions and Packers over the last two weeks have been very, very impressive.
I'm going to go with the Cowboys here in the hook. Three and a half I think, I think Dak and the guys will be able to generate some stuff on offense. I do not really trust their defense. It does worry me a lot. I don't.
But I'm gonna ride the Cowboys here. They just. I got a better feel. This is more of a gut. I think the trend is a wise place to take the Eagles, but I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna side with the Cowboys here.
I think they're gonna, I think they're gonna show up.
I think they're gonna show up and I think they're confident. They're a confident group and they're playing together as a team versus the Eagles.
Seem to like, not like each other, anybody in the team but despite that, when they put the helmet on, find ways to win. Give me the Cowboys plus three and a half.
[00:51:03] Speaker A: Yeah, this is a tough game. Eagles tend to struggle a little bit more on the road. All those games are really tight. Cowboys early in the year kept that game close, should have won that One in Philly, and I think they're gonna just perform really well in this one as well.
They've gotten a lot of flack for their, you know, trade deadline acquisitions. Aaron, you said it was dumb.
Some people like it. But the guys that they picked up have been doing kind of well for them. And.
[00:51:36] Speaker B: Quinn Williams was a good pickup, but I think he helps in this game. I mean, him and Clark inside helped with the run game, but the Eagles can't run the ball anyways they got.
For me, the worry is I think A.J. brown, Devonte Smith can get over the top and have big games. And that's where I get scared, because Ibrahim Flutes is an idiot who will try to play man to man coverage of those guys. And we saw what the Arizona did to him. Like, they pin them on skates. They're still looking for the jock strap of Daron Bland. They were looking for it in Vegas and still couldn't find it. Yeah, that's what really scares me. I don't trust them.
[00:52:07] Speaker A: Yeah, the big scare is like, I'm gonna have scored a lot of points too in a lot of these games. So, yeah, this might be.
[00:52:13] Speaker B: It might be a get right game for the Eagles offense.
[00:52:15] Speaker A: This might be.
[00:52:16] Speaker B: Yeah, it worries me, but I'm gonna side with the Cowboys at three and a half. I'm gonna. I'm gonna bite. I'm gonna bite the cheese on the trap. Hopefully I can get out before I get my head snapped.
[00:52:26] Speaker A: Bite the cheese in the trap. Oh, man, I love it.
All right, Sunday night Bucks Rams, game of the week.
Rams favored by seven, 49 and a half over under Aaron.
[00:52:43] Speaker B: I would have thought the game of the week would have been cold. Chiefs, Rome, maybe even Bears, Steelers.
I would put those 1, 2 before I would say Bucks, Rams.
[00:52:53] Speaker A: This is a good game.
[00:52:54] Speaker B: It is. I mean, the Bucks are another one of these teams right now that is really, really trending bad.
And now they're making the trip all the way out here. I mean, they go from Buffalo, tough loss. Their defense has really been kind of struggling here. But the Rams just lost Higby, a tight end.
You know, Adam's been banged up. They just lost their strong safety as well. For the Rams, seven points is just too much for me here. I'm. I'm gonna take Tampa getting seven. Baker and these guys have been struggling, but Baker likes to play in. So far, he did well there when he was with the Rams. I think.
I think he balls out. I think it's a close game. I'm gonna take the Bucks in seven points.
[00:53:30] Speaker A: Nice, Jason.
[00:53:31] Speaker C: Yeah, the Rams are a really good team, but the more I looked at this spread, I mean, it's, it's just a lot of points for a primetime game where Baker rises to these moments and regardless who's around him, I think Godwin's gonna play in this, but I don't think Bucky Irving potentially is gonna play. So. So what, your eyes got big? You want. You want to. Should have started Godwin or what?
[00:53:51] Speaker B: He's been holding on to Godwin for like eight weeks waiting for to come back.
[00:53:53] Speaker A: Dude, I got six guys in the IR right now.
[00:53:56] Speaker C: All right.
[00:53:56] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:53:58] Speaker C: What kind of limited IR do you got in that league? It should be like one or two slots. What kind of league is.
[00:54:02] Speaker A: I got two slots, but. But half my bench is injured. To Kincaid, Godwin Laporta, Trey Benson. Everyone's out, dude.
[00:54:09] Speaker C: All right, well, Godwin's supposed to play, so you could potentially activate him this week.
I don't know. Expect. I don't think you expect. Expect a ton from him. I think the Bucky Irving piece is the biggest question mark. I think he was kind of questionable, but there's a lot of things going on that he's not going to play and could be out longer. I think there's just a lot of question marks there. I just think like Aaron said, you trust in Baker, be gunsling and keeping this things close. It's a really good Rams team. But as Aaron mentioned, hey, Rams getting a little beat up here. Have had some big wins. They played two divisional games back to back. That Seahawks game, you know, takes a little bit of life out of you because you know, that was the big showdown for the division.
I don't think the Rams win, but I, I'd give the COVID on the Bucks and that the plus seven Bucks.
[00:54:51] Speaker A: Have had a pretty tough schedule, man. They have a pretty tough schedule right now. It's just a little bit of a, you know, unlucky bounces here. Seven points is a lot though. They've gotten their ass kicked. Has some tough losses recently. I think they're going to bounce back. Baker's gonna play well.
I don't know, man.
Kind of wouldn't mind seeing the Rams lose their little winning streak here to make room for my, you know, the, the Niners catching some ground here.
I'm gonna go with the Bucks with the points. Expect to be tight. Would not be surprised either way who wins, but I'll be rooting for the Bucks all the way. I'm a big Bakers man.
Monday Night Panthers 49ers, Niners here by seven points. Monday Night Football.
Monday Night Football here in the bay, 49 and a half over under. Pretty high scoring game. A lot of high scoring games for this week.
Jason, who you got?
[00:55:49] Speaker C: Oh, man, I think another one of those games were just that seven points is like really tough. But I think the Panthers have just taken a ton of teams by surprise throughout this season. But I think going west to east.
[00:56:03] Speaker A: I'm sorry, your second team, man, they're.
[00:56:07] Speaker C: Not my second team. I give them a little.
I mean, no, I. My take wasn't even as bold as your. If you saying the Texans are going to the super bowl with their D.
[00:56:15] Speaker A: I didn't say they're going. Man, I definitely jump off the cliff with this, man.
[00:56:18] Speaker C: I, I just said the price.
[00:56:19] Speaker A: I just said, guys take a mile.
[00:56:22] Speaker C: All I said was the Panthers could be in competition for the seventh seed in the playoffs, which they are right now. That's all I gave them credit for. But I still think they got a lot to go.
Bryce Young had a big game last week.
[00:56:34] Speaker A: Look how red he is right now.
[00:56:35] Speaker C: I'm just my natural cover and it's my. And it's my shirt. I'm red. I mean, that's what it is.
[00:56:39] Speaker A: Nice.
[00:56:41] Speaker B: It's a little cooler out too, so you got to get a little more blood warming through. You know how it goes. Roam when you're white.
[00:56:46] Speaker C: It's cool down here.
I could go either way on this, given where the. Where the Niners are at. I hate the line, but I just think the Niners are going to win this game. It opened at. I think it opened at six and a half and it got up to seven and where it was at because everyone was all over the Niners.
I will take the Niners at -7.
[00:57:06] Speaker B: Aaron, interesting game, interesting line.
Panthers, you know, like Jason said, coming east to west.
But here's the thing no one's talking about. If the Bucks lose Sunday, the Panthers can go into sole possession of first place of a win. If that's not enough motivation to show up and ball out, I don't know what is. I like the Panthers plus seven. They're good defensively. Bryce Young's playing well. They can limit the turnovers. I think you can run on the Niners as we've seen other teams do here.
I think seven points just is too much. I think it's a tight game. I think Birdie probably leads him back of a late drive, but I'm gonna go Carolina plus seven with A chance to be a sole place there in the NFC South. So I'm going. I'm going. Panthers plus seven.
[00:57:51] Speaker A: Nice.
I don't know which way to go with this one because we've seen, like.
[00:57:56] Speaker B: Are you going to the game room? Are you going to the game? I know there's rumors that you're thinking about going.
[00:58:01] Speaker A: Tickets are cheap. I did talk to Will and Bonnie, trying to grease them up, saying, like, hey, hook it up with the ticket here.
They're gonna be tailgating all night Monday night.
That's gotta be pretty fun, actually. I wouldn't mind just going for the tailgating, but it's gonna be cold here. It's starting to get chilly up here in the Bay. I don't know how it is in Santa Clara, because I know that's like. That's. That's like the SoCal.
[00:58:19] Speaker B: I think it's getting cold all around Rome. It's cold down here. It's getting cooler.
[00:58:24] Speaker A: Niners are tough. They've been really hit or miss at. On the road or. Or at home as well, so I don't know which way. I think seven points just might be a little too much, though.
And we've only seen one game with Brock pretty back, although he did ball.
Is this a new look? 49ers team since they got some guys back.
Fuck, dude, I don't know which way to go on this one.
You know what?
I'm just going to roll with it. Roll Tide, 49ers cover on this one. They show up big time under the big.
[00:58:57] Speaker B: You pulled the fast one. You said Roll Tide, and then you screwed through Rice Young right over the box. I was like, what the hell? What's going on here, man?
[00:59:06] Speaker A: All right.
Yeah, I'm looking at too many games now. Too. Too many stats can, like, bog you down. So, Aaron, you got Panthers plus Panthers.
[00:59:16] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:59:17] Speaker A: All right. I would go with the Niners with the COVID Not feeling too good about that one, but I do want them to win.
I do want them to win since I was my team growing up as a kid.
All right, thoughts on this week? Overall sentiments? I don't feel good at all.
[00:59:38] Speaker C: Yeah, I. I'm not gonna say I'm not feeling confident. You got some massive spreads in a lot of these games, and I think you're getting to that time of the year where just the amount of injuries we talked about in. In a few of these games or, you know, guys going out, some players coming back in some key games, too. But this is where like, a lot of. A lot of the standings get influenced by the overall health of teams and but some big spreads for betting this weekend so that it's going to be a bit of a challenge. And like I said, you got some terrible afternoon games that we're gonna be looking at. So. But yeah, I agree with Aaron. Game of the week room. I don't know what you're talking about. Steelers, Bears. That's the game of the week. It's the game of the week on sources from the Sofa. This is the biggest showdown on the pod. All right.
[01:00:17] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm getting nervous.
[01:00:19] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean it's Rome. It's Rome versus Jason Rogers versus the Bears. Both teams winning records. Both teams tops in the division. I, I agree. Gotta be, gotta be this game of the week.
[01:00:30] Speaker A: Definitely game of the week.
And we have game eight games that we're all matching picks for which I just realized that it's like ah.
[01:00:39] Speaker B: So well, I mean what we got what, 13, 14 games on the dial.
[01:00:46] Speaker A: Yeah. There's still five games that we differ.
Yeah.
[01:00:48] Speaker B: So yeah, I mean like you guys mentioned a lot of, a lot of high spreads.
Don't really love those. I mean if you can hit two out of three of those ones that are basically 10 points or more, be happy. The afternoon games suck.
But I think Jaguars, Cardinals is going to be entertaining. I think it's be a good game. Browns, Raiders, Falcon, Saints does not entertain me in the least bit. And I think Eagles, Cowboys can be intriguing. So I think we get two entertaining afternoon games, two snooze fest and then the, the morning games. Packers, Vikings and Steelers Bears I think are the prime time ones in the morning.
Good Sunday night and a good Monday night game.
[01:01:26] Speaker A: Yeah.
All right, I'll do it. For NFL lines, week 12 in the books. I did post on the socials, although I'm not having as much fun posting the updates. I was two games above.500. I posted up the update. 12 games under.500 now after two of the two bad weeks of the last three.
So that's how fast I, I've fallen.
It's rough. It's been rough.
It's been rough. But yeah, only three games back. Still only three games back. Which is crazy about going against the spread.
Yeah, we'll see how it goes.
[01:02:06] Speaker B: I'm hoping for all three a winning week again. I mean that's what it's all about. Get a winning week and feels good to have a winning week out. So.
[01:02:15] Speaker A: By the way, in case you guys.
I'm sorry, go ahead.
[01:02:18] Speaker C: No, I was gonna say I feel Good to have a winning week. It feels good to win, you know, as I did this last week again.
You did, you did. I appreciate that, Rome. I. I love. I think you took a shot at me or something. Just saying. It's like the first time I won a week and it was over 500. So I don't know if you're taking a shot at me or yourself or whatever.
[01:02:36] Speaker A: No, that.
[01:02:37] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:02:37] Speaker A: It was the third time we were all over 500.
[01:02:39] Speaker C: Oh, they're telling me you're all over at time 100 because I remember this.
[01:02:43] Speaker A: Is your third over 500, though. You've. You've actually had some pretty good ones in there.
[01:02:46] Speaker C: Okay. I. I thought you were just saying, like, every time I win, it's only because you guys are bad. So it.
[01:02:51] Speaker A: You know, you have the most under 500 wins. That's.
It's a pretty good.
[01:02:58] Speaker C: You don't get. You don't. You don't got to outrun the line. You just gotta outrun your friends. Right? So, no, you're.
[01:03:04] Speaker A: You're tired there for first. So, like, what. What could I do? I. I have the biggest peaks and the biggest valleys out of all three of us.
Just like my three point shooting. It's just terrible, dude. It's just. I'm either hot or I'm not.
It's just my life.
New power rankings are also out. If you guys did not catch it, who's number eight?
[01:03:21] Speaker B: Roman, power ranking.
[01:03:23] Speaker A: Well, you talked me into it, man. I took the Bears off and I kept the Bears in or. Or the Lions in at number eight. So they dropped down four spots, but they are still.
[01:03:32] Speaker B: I didn't tell you to keep the Lions in there.
[01:03:34] Speaker A: But I'm not putting the Ravens in, though. That was.
That's not happening, dude. They look like.
So Lions staying there. Bills are at number seven, which.
[01:03:43] Speaker B: Well, they're out. They're done.
[01:03:46] Speaker A: Yeah, they're gonna probably drop a little bit.
Broncos at number six. Seahawks, five PATs, four Colts, three Eagles, two RAMs at number one.
And there's a lot of teams in between nine and 12 right now.
I think I talked about that. We got 49ers, you know, despite the Bears having a negative point differential. I've been sending Jason some memes and, like, some stuff. Just talking on the Bears. I don't know if he's been reading it, but I read them all.
[01:04:15] Speaker B: I read them all.
[01:04:15] Speaker A: It's okay. Some funny stuff, some good stuff.
Yeah, I was contemplating them putting in. Or the putting them in eighth because they are coming out with with wins. You know, at the end of the day, Ben Johnson has gave him the luck of the Irish. And Caleb Williams, say what you will about his quarterback play, he seems to turn it on when things get tight in the final two minutes of the game. So got to reward that in some form or fashion.
Yeah. All right.
Catch the recap Sunday night. Maybe Sunday or Monday for college football and the NFL. Also check out F1.
That's the next pod on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and on YouTube. Be sure to check that out as we are going to cover the Las Vegas Grand Prix. This is source from the sofa. We are out.
