[00:00:00] Speaker A: Foreign. [00:00:04] Speaker B: We are recording Thursday night, November 6th, just shortly after Thursday night Football, which was just short of dog. It was a really bad, ugly game. Yes, Broncos have one of the better records in the league, but it's just like the Chiefs last year. It is just, you know, it's impressive that they're 8 and 2, but these are the ugliest wins that I've seen in a long time. But they keep on chugging along. Yeah, it's a divisional game. Raiders did a valiant effort. Had genty did some good stuff. It was very windy in Denver. But if you guys were picking the game though, did you guys. I'm pretty sure you guys had the Broncos eight and a half, right? [00:00:49] Speaker A: I like the Raiders. [00:00:51] Speaker C: Oh yeah. I would have said Raiders too. [00:00:53] Speaker B: Okay. Okay. Interesting. [00:00:54] Speaker C: Easy. Easy for us to to say that. [00:00:56] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:00:58] Speaker C: But I would say two things that hold true for us, Rome, when it comes to when you get a big spread spread them Thursday night games are, are generally crap. And so the short preparation week, both teams come out flat and then obviously we'll get to this a little later. International games. So. And I think that that that's a thing that we have kind of seen. But Thursday night generally be a terrible game. Is always general is up there. Eight, eight and a half's a lot considering a Broncos team that, you know, to your point, they're not blowing anybody out. They're winning by the skin of their teeth. And I think the Chiefs is a very fair comparison to a year ago. And hey, we're talking less than we're on one score games, three points every week being the deciding factor. But hey, it wins a win. The NFL room, you can't take it away from him. But yeah, I would have been with Aaron that probably would have taken the Raiders today. [00:01:50] Speaker B: I don't believe you, Aaron. I, I, you know, for as much as you've been on Bo Nicks and and their coach, I would have a feeling you would have been pretty, pretty up on them. [00:01:59] Speaker A: When you see the rest of my picks this week, Rome, you will understand why I was on the Raiders. [00:02:04] Speaker B: Okay. Should we just get into it? You guys want to talk about this game or say fuck it? [00:02:09] Speaker A: Honest, Honestly, I think you guys have both said enough about it. I'm ready to move on. Like, I'm like Bill Belichick, let's move on to the next game. [00:02:16] Speaker B: I agree. I agree. This could be the quickest recap of Thursday Night Football. We've even been. [00:02:21] Speaker A: All right. [00:02:22] Speaker B: Yeah, sounds good. [00:02:23] Speaker A: This recap, honestly has been better than the Game. Let's just, let's just cut it there. [00:02:28] Speaker C: On to, on to Germany. Rome. We're heading to Germany right now. [00:02:31] Speaker B: On to Germany. Berlin, one of my favorite cities to go to when I was in school, when I went to school in Germany. Some crazy underground clubs there. You want to be careful. Have you ever seen the movie Hostel? Some stuff still happens down there. You gotta be very careful where you end up. But really fun drinking city. The first or what's our first international game? What in two or three weeks. Falcons, Colts, Colts here by six and a half. 48 and a half over under Aaron. Go ahead, man. [00:03:02] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean Jason kind of touched on earlier. You just never know what you're going to get in these international games. The last one we got was a blowout. The Rams won 35 to 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Colts coming off their least impressive game of the year against your Pittsburgh Steelers, Roman, which they had six turnovers. Not a good game for them Falcons. You know, Jason's been back and forth. You don't know what you're going to get week to week with them personally. International game. You're giving me almost a touchdown. Six and a half. I don't like it. I don't love this game, but that's too many points to me. The Falcons last week were what, five and a half point dog against the Patriots. Almost had a chance to win that game even though they look like they were done before they got a late strip sack on Drake May there in the second quarter. I'm gonna go over Atlanta here six and a half. You know Sauce Gardner, he's clear concussion protocol so he will play, make his debut as he was traded on Tuesday. But the forest Buckner is going to be out so I think Atlanta might be able to run the ball there a little bit against them. Their special team sucks but I'm going to take the six and a half. Give me the Falcons here but the Colts to win. [00:04:09] Speaker B: Wow. Okay, jay. [00:04:11] Speaker C: Yep. I'm 100% agree with Aaron on that one. I already alluded to it. International game. Almost getting a touchdown. While I don't know what to do with the Falcons week to week, they did keep it close against the Patriots and the Colts. You know, I don't, I don't think anyone's got their number right now but you know there's something on film at least of how to maybe stop this offense or contain it a little bit. Stopping is probably too of aggressive word and I just think yeah, going all the way to Germany. It's Going to be probably a sloppy game. This needs to be played at like five in the morning or something here on the west coast. And you wouldn't be shocked if, you know, we're just struggling for either team to score 20 points and six and a half's a lot. I'll take Atlanta. [00:04:50] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't know. This is just a vibe thing. You know me. I typically go opposite direction on these international games, but I have a feeling the Colts are going to answer back with Sauce Gardner on the team. [00:05:03] Speaker A: And. [00:05:05] Speaker B: I don't know, I just feel like the Falcons might have overperformed in the last game and they still got quite a bit of injuries right on both sides of the ball. Yeah. [00:05:14] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:05:14] Speaker B: Either way, I know six and a half's a lot. That's why I'm gonna go with the Colts, because why not in an. In an. [00:05:23] Speaker A: In. [00:05:23] Speaker B: And God damn it, in an international game, that's a tongue twister. In an international game. Daniel. Joe's response back and they get hyphy with their new cornerback on the team. Back to the States. We Got Browns, Jets 38 over under. Browns favored by two and a half in the Meadowlands chase. [00:05:44] Speaker C: I don't, I don't plan on watching one minute of this game. I, I would stay away from it because I don't understand either of these teams. But I'm going to give it to the Browns just because purely, I think defensively this is a team that they at least can keep some of these games competitive with their defense. They still got Miles, Garrett and some guys there. Maybe there's enough plays offensively they can do. The jets are in full on fire sale mode. You know, people begging to be traded. Breeze hall raising his hand on Twitter that he wants to go next during the week. Don't know what the cohesiveness of this team's going to be. I'd stay away from it, but just purely off the defense of where the jets are headed. I'll take the Browns. [00:06:21] Speaker B: Aaron. [00:06:22] Speaker A: Yeah. This might be the only time this season you see the Browns as a road favorite. Rome, I think you pointed out something two weeks ago. You said the jets on the road, they show up at home, they get blown out. I like the Browns here. I mean, the jets, like Jason said, they basically gave away their best two players on defense. The Browns coming off Garrett. Miles had what, five sacks in his last game. I believe he'll have another good game. I don't even know who's going to play quarterback for the jets here. Browns, both teams off a Buy. I just think the Browns have a little more continuity. Better coach, better team, better defense. I'm going to take the Browns here minus two and a half to get the win in New York. [00:07:03] Speaker B: You know, before the fire Cell, I was actually leaning jets on this one just because I feel like they finally showed up in the last week before the break and they might come back rejuvenated. But what they got rid of what, two, three guys on their team now on the defensive side? I don't know, man. [00:07:25] Speaker A: Yeah, because I think, I think last week they traded away what, Carter, another corner or safety from their team. Yeah, I mean they've, they've traded away about. It's depleted out defense. [00:07:35] Speaker B: Yeah. Which is so weird, man. Like they, they trade away some really good players for as bad as they are. I just don't, I just don't get it. Even if it's for picks they did. [00:07:45] Speaker C: And one thing, when you get into this, I mean you're, you're in a big rebuild. They paid Sauce Gardner, I think it was a four year contract extension to start this year. And I, I don't want to get into the cap stuff of this but. Because I don't know the details, but when you give people guaranteed money and you talk about cap space overall, like they owe Sauce basically a lot of that money that was guaranteed and that's all cap penalty stuff that this team's inheriting. So while, I mean you can all talk, oh, they got these first round picks here and there, but cool, you're drafted and you're just gonna have young guys everywhere and they're not going to be able to like add back and free agency or anything like that because you know you're going to be paying off this guaranteed contracts and cat penalties that are around this thing too. So that's where you question the long term management of the Jets. Like you're trading one of your best players to get draft capital, but the draft capital is all you're getting because you're not going to be able to add much and you know, you're in, you're in the market for a franchise quarterback. I guess you're not paying a quarterback if you're the jets, but man, this is going to be a rough rebuild overall in my opinion, because you're trading guys you just gave money to. That doesn't work in this league. [00:08:51] Speaker B: I feel bad for the coach. Yeah, I was going for the jets, but now I'm going for the Browns. That's a stay away. Saints, Panthers, next game. Panthers here by five and a half. 39 and a half. [00:09:04] Speaker A: Over. [00:09:04] Speaker B: Under. By the way. I think it's safe to say it's going to be a lock under 38 on the Browns and Jets. That would be my side bet on this one and I would go over on this one on the 39 and a half for the Panthers. Saints, Aaron. [00:09:17] Speaker A: Yeah, Panthers. You know, Jason called it about a month ago. Said number seven seed there in the nfc. [00:09:23] Speaker B: We're just gonna remind you every week. [00:09:25] Speaker A: Jason, you know, I'm, I'm, I'm buying stock. I'm jumping on board. I like what I've seen from Carolina. Nice win against Green Bay. The only. They've won four in a row with Bryce Young under center. Let's, you know, they lost to Buffalo, but he didn't play that game. The Saints, they're, they're a train wreck. They're the second worst team in the National Football League behind the Tennessee Titans, who, thank God aren't playing this weekend. [00:09:46] Speaker B: Nice. [00:09:46] Speaker A: I'm riding with Carolina. Five and a half. They play good defense. They can run the ball. They don't turn the ball over. Saints can't do any of those things. Are the opposite. Give me the Panthers -5 and a half at home against the Saints. [00:10:00] Speaker B: Nice, Jason. [00:10:01] Speaker C: I get. I guess we're just gonna do this the whole show. 100 agree with Aaron on this one. I mean, a close win and the Panthers have had some close wins, but the Saints, you just don't know what you're gonna get for them offensively. The last, you know, probably three, four, five games, you know, they're getting blown out by, by, by over 10 points. And so you're talking the Panthers only having to cover five and a half. I think this is good. As an upstart Panthers team, you guys are holding me to the seven seed take. Given where the NFC's at, man, it's going to be tough to even. I mean, it is top seven of this conference. We talk it's going to be tough. But I mean, they're, they're, you know, what I meant by that was more this just. They're just in contention and the conversation or something right now. They're in the conversation. It's the in the hunt graphic as we're talking. And, and I think that that win over the packers really is something. And hey, this is, these are, these are the games that you're looking for. The Panthers that they, they got to win if you're going to be in the hunt. And the Saints are just a bad Team. I like the Panthers in this too. [00:10:53] Speaker B: Clean sweep, guys. I think it's be a blowout. I think panthers probably get 30 points all by themselves. They know how to score points when they're on the roll and Saints can't stop it. I'm pretty sure the Saints will get on the board with the rookie court qb. At least one or two scores in there. So get the over on this one, under on the previous one. That's my side bets on this one. Bills, Dolphins. Bills here by nine and a half. I think of revenge game basically for kind of getting punked and almost losing to the Dolphins early in the year. Over. Under is 50, Jason. [00:11:25] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, I don't. The Dolphins, man, just don't know what to think of them week to week either. Fired their gm, which I think was long overdue. He was like one of the longest tenured GMs. For a GM that hadn't won a playoff game. Got a lot of bandwidth. I know people are disagreeing with firing the GM and not the coach, but a lot of rumors coming out right now that Mike, that Mike McDaniel really might survive all of this. And they're thinking he hasn't lost the locker room. And they're really talking about like just a roster construction, which I don't disagree with. I think. I think Greer had to go because there was a lot of things in this roster that were flawed coming into the season. So if McDaniel hasn't lost the locker room, I think there, there's something to be said there. I'm still just unsure about like two at quarterback. You know, they got hn. [00:12:10] Speaker B: That's the problem. [00:12:10] Speaker C: Really? Yeah, I, I don't know. You paid the guy the money, but I, I don't know what you're getting from as a starter. I think he's probably replaceable for a lot of ways within this offense. McDaniel in the running game with HN has gotten. You know, that's some of what you look at that Shanahan tree. Were you able to get the running game going and all that. But on the flip side, hey, the Bills had a statement win last week and we're not playing. We're not playing Miami, you know, in the, in the. In. We'll try to say in September what it's a million. Yeah, it's. It's cooler. I don't want to say it's. I don't. Yeah, I don't want to say it's cool in Miami right now, but it's not the surface of the sun and there's a whole sideline thing that you generally do. But so it's a, it's not an ideal spread. Don't love it. The Bills, you know, most notably if you're looking at that Saints game earlier in the year that they didn't cover this big spread. But I think nine and a half is somewhat manageable. And if you look in how Lamar got in this defense last week against the Dolphins, I'll lean. Don't love it, but I'll take the Bills minus nine and a half. [00:13:15] Speaker B: Aaron? [00:13:15] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean Buffalo coming off that big win against the Chiefs, a game they really dominated. I mean we hadn't seen Pat Mahomes played that bad in an NFL game for throughout his whole what, nine year career. I mean 44 completion. Buffalo had really been struggling defensively. They go into the bye week, get Harrison, the rookie out of Kentucky, put him out there on as a cornerback and really their defense has really shined since he's come back from early injury when she was on the ir. This D line has been pretty good. Offensively they seem to get back to the running game of Cook Miami. Obviously Jason mentioned the fire of the GM, but Mike McDaniel still has the locker room as mentioned. I think the team's still playing hard. I mean if they don't. A lot of bad mistakes against Baltimore really cost in that game. Rome asked me why I took the Raiders plus eight and a half because I'm taking the Dolphins plus nine and a half. Give me the points here. I think Buffalo, like you mentioned, Rome kind of place to the level of their competition. I think this game's closer than people think. As long as Tua doesn't turn the ball over. I'm taking the Dolphins here off of many kind of by play. Plus nine and a half. [00:14:20] Speaker B: Nice, nice. Dolphins have been like on a pretty rough stretch right now. They got their ass beat by the Browns, Falcons, Ravens. Oh no, I'm sorry. They beat the Falcons. Tough game against the Chargers. They've been competitive in a handful of these games. I, I can't remember what game we were watching though. And, and then you guys said that the Browns. [00:14:42] Speaker A: It was the Browns game. [00:14:43] Speaker B: It was the Browns. Okay. Yeah, they tapped out. I had them there in that game as well. But I think these, these divisional games, they'll be tight. So I'm take the points on this one. But I, I still like the Bills to win by a touchdown. [00:14:56] Speaker A: All right. [00:14:56] Speaker B: Jaguars, Texans, jags favored by 1 1/2 on the road in Houston. 37 1/2 over under Jason. [00:15:04] Speaker C: Yeah, looking at a pickup game right now. Aaron and I as Rome will continue to say, you know they're big, big Liam Cohen guys, the Jags are you know been been our trendy pick for us a lot of the year but haven't looked exactly great after their big win versus the Chiefs. [00:15:25] Speaker B: Wow. [00:15:26] Speaker C: I'm just putting it out there a little bit right now. Great. The, the Rams, you know wasn't a great look in London. They did get the win versus the Raiders last week but the, you know the Raiders aren't a great team but I mean I leave the Raiders I guess keep it close. We saw them tonight but the Texans also not great. The Raiders keep the Raiders have gotten a lot of bad luck but to. [00:15:48] Speaker B: Them and Arizona and who else. Just tough losses man. [00:15:54] Speaker C: Tough losses definitely. But anyway into this game the Texans also just haven't looked good all year and I think we're banking still you guys picking this team go to the Super Bowl a year ago but the offensive line questionable. Maybe they find you know, something here and there. The Jags worry on the injury front. Brian Thomas has been questionable here offensively. Travis Hunter is out. You know kind of looking at other things. They got, you know, they got other wide receivers with Dami Brown out. I, I still think we need the running game out of this and we're looking for the Travis ETN game. I think this might be it. How can we lean on him? Take some pressure off of Trevor Lawrence and you're basically talking a pick them game. I think the Jags are a better team so I'll leave the Jags minus one and a half. [00:16:40] Speaker A: Aaron Yeah, I mean the Texans coming off a tough loss against the Broncos, one you felt they should have won Rome and then Jaguars winning in overtime against the Raiders on a deflection on a two point attempt there by Gino. Jaguars Travis out might be out for the season. Who knows. Kind of being quiet on that front. Brian Thomas Jr. Dealing with ankle hasn't practiced all week. He's going to be a true game time decision. CJ Stroud is out for the Texans but I think the wrong team's favorite here. Last week I said the wrong team was favored when he gave me the Broncos points. I'm going to take the Texans here getting points. I like, I like what the defense can do there. I think they've got they'll be able to get the run game going and I like a home dog divisional in a game that's really a pick them I think the Texans, even though they won't have CJ Stroud, they're less banged up at the skill position. I like the Texans in the upset at home. Give me them. [00:17:38] Speaker B: Kind of took my thunder, but yeah, pick them. I've been a big critic of the Jags. Yeah, they won last week. Yeah, they got a winning record right now, but they, but it's been pretty rough. Texas defense is solid, man. They, they're near the top, I believe, like top five in scoring defense. To get turnovers, to get sacks, to get deflections. They're playing really hard right now. So say what you will about this team and, and, and DeMarco Murray, but they still got a lot. DeMarco Murray. I mixed up two words, other coach, but I know I paused. [00:18:16] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, we got, we got Kyler Murphy and Tamiko Murray over here. So. Hey, you know, it's funny, it's funny, it's funny. When we were listening to Monday night broadcast, even Troy Aikman was like, Kyler Murphy. I mean, Murray, I was like, man, he's been listening to the show. Troy, you've been listening, you've been listening to Rome or what? [00:18:34] Speaker C: Rome. It's just a staple of the podcast. You know, there's a lot of names in sports we can't get. There's a lot of. We're shooting, we're shooting at the hip here, man. This is a casual conversation about the sources from the sofa. You know, we're just, we're just a couple friends cutting it up right now. We can't get every name right. [00:18:50] Speaker B: Exactly. So I don't know, would not be surprised that Jaguars come out and like beat the, out of them, you know, and then, and then you guys are back on the pod next week saying like, see, look at the Jags. Look at Trevor Lawrence. He is a top 10 quarterback. [00:19:04] Speaker A: Personally, Rome, since I did take the Texas plus one and a half, I wouldn't mind another Jaguars one point win. Like I said last week, give me the Raiders plus two and a half and a Jaguars one point win. It worked out. I take it again to see my boy get another win. [00:19:16] Speaker B: That is true. I'll take the taxes in this one. I like them to win an ugly one, but give me 1/2 points on the dog at home. I, I, I'm digging it too. To Marco Murray. Man, that's hilarious. Ravens, Vikings. Ravens favored in Minnesota, 49 and a half over under Aaron. [00:19:38] Speaker A: Yeah, this to me is the game of the week. I know you got two teams, you know, the Ravens what, three and five? What are the. What are the Vikings? Four and four right now. But to me, this is the best game on the board this week because what we saw from JJ McCarthy was that just another one off. He shows up and then he comes back and plays like he did against the Atlanta Falcons in a home game. Ravens, we've mentioned they are the favorites to, you know, win that division. And the Steelers showed up, got a big win. I'm gonna ride the home team. I'm gonna take the three and a half. I mean, it's. It's four at some places, so it's down to three and a half, maybe going lower, but I, I'm gonna go Minnesota here. I think they got the skill. Baltimore, defensively, they've gotten healthy, but they've shored up some things. But this is a really good offense of skilled, wise players. If JJ can run it, you know, he can. He. He can. He can maneuver in the pocket. He can use the mobility. I think that the Ravens kind of will struggle defensively with that. We saw that against Josh, Allen, Mahomes, guys that could get out of the pocket, make plays with their legs. High scoring game. I like over 49. I think it's a shootout, but I'm going to take the Vikings plus three and a half. I think the final in this game's like 30 to 28, but give me the Vikings and the points at home. [00:20:50] Speaker B: Nice, Jason. [00:20:51] Speaker C: I'm going to go the opposite. And I just don't believe in this Vikings team all year. Aaron and I said NSC north, best division in football. We say it every week, but I think this is the fourth best team in that division. And he said if, if, if for J.J. mcCarthy. And I still think there's a lot of ifs there and this Baltimore defense is getting healthy. It is going to be a shootout. This is a, you know, they got the extended bye week, I guess was playing on Thursday night for Baltimore. I think they're going in. I think they're ready. I think, I think this is an easy cover for Baltimore and I like them. [00:21:22] Speaker B: Nice. I think this is a trap game actually for Baltimore. I'm a JJ fan, Michigan fan. He had that dog in him. Gonna prove a lot of people wrong. We'll see. He's looked great for six quarters and everything else has been trashed, but, you know, he's had a lot of time off to recuperate, study the film. Ravens had an impressive win on the way back, but I just feel like this is just like a little trap they never do well when they have a long break dating back from like, you know, like the last five years. But, Jason, you might be right, though. I. This is more like a feel thing and me rooting for JJ More than anything, and I need them to lose. Anyways, the Ravens to keep my Steelers alive with my next pick coming up. Pats, Bucks, bucks here by two and a half over under 48. Jason? [00:22:13] Speaker C: Yeah. Aaron said that Vikings, Ravens was game of the week. And I, I think this is probably game of the week right now. We got the Tom Brady Bowl. It's on cbs. I don't know how we messed this one. They should have been on Fox and Tom Brady gets the call on this one. [00:22:29] Speaker A: But I think, I think, I think. No, it's going to be in San Francisco, right? [00:22:32] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:22:33] Speaker A: 49Ers. [00:22:33] Speaker C: Yeah, that's what I'm, that's what I'm saying. Because it's a cbs. I think, I think the networks messed it up. We should have made this. [00:22:39] Speaker A: Well, usually the Bucks. Bucks being the NFC at home, that's usually a Fox game. So, yeah, they must have rotated one of these games in and out. Maybe Dolphins, Bills got to switch to Fox. Is that what happened? [00:22:53] Speaker C: I don't know. The whole network thing's messed up now. We got all these different. I mean, there were. I think there was an AFC on AFC game that was on Fox this week or earlier this year, too. Just because we gotta split these things up between the two. Two networks on Sundays. But regardless, you know, I, I think it's game of the week and continue to be. Yeah. Buck continue to be banged up, running back still hurt, receivers still hurt. It's not a game I'm overly comfortable with, but I think just the Patriots getting the points. Drake Mays looked really good. I think. I think Ramandre's out. [00:23:30] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, he's out. Yeah, he is out. [00:23:32] Speaker C: And so, you know, are you gonna see a big. I've been waiting for Henderson to get more of the load. [00:23:40] Speaker B: You don't want running back position. [00:23:42] Speaker A: I like Henderson. I know he fumbled last week, but I like him. [00:23:45] Speaker C: I, I like. I mean, I think he was the big thing out of Ohio State that they got because, you know, Ramandre's been the Fumble, you know, the last couple years. And you expected Henderson to take the role over him at running back. Does variable trust him? So if you're putting him in the feature, back behind May, who's looked better lately. The Bucs team is good, but just overall health with them, they're Begging on a comeback. Where the Patriots, you know we're at. What were they on a six game winning streak right now? Overall, they beat a pretty good Falcons team after and they beat the Bills earlier in the year. This is going to be one of their tougher tests. And they got to into Tampa Bay, but just them getting points. I'll take the Patriots. [00:24:25] Speaker B: All right, Aaron. [00:24:26] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean there's probably not a hotter team right now in the AFC than the Patriots. I mean, you could make the case the Broncos have won seven in a row. But Rome, like you said, not been very impressive. The Patriots have been impressive. They've been dominating teams outside of really that 5 turnover game which we talked about against the Steelers. They've been blowing people out. Went into Buffalo and won a big game, but I think there was any team that needed a bye week, it was Tampa. Kind of regroup. I know Bucky's still out, Godwin's still out, but they got it. They got. Baker was banged up. He did not look himself the last two games. I think he'll be a lot better. More importantly, you give Todd Bowles two weeks to prepare for a young quarterback. I think the Patriots are going to have a nightmare of his game. Three or four turnovers. I love Tampa this week. Give me the Bucks at home. New England's due for a bad spot. This is a bad matchup for them. Young quarterback. It gets a blitzing, aggressive defense. Give me the box. Minus two and a half. [00:25:23] Speaker B: Jesus Christ. Okay, cool. Yeah. Six games. Could I see the Pats winning seven games? That's really impressive. It's also very hard to do. Bucks needed the break just like you said. More than anything, I like Baker Mayfield to really shine through. Get Tez Johnson, his tight ends. He's been utilizing those tight ends just as much as Daniel Jones. I think those quarterbacks have been like lighting it up there. Patriots got away with some wins. They've been playing great. You know, they're making great strides. But I, I kind of agree. They're kind of, kind of due for one and it's going to be a tough atmosphere in Tampa. So I got the Bucks winning a close one here and a half. One more game warn Sunday morning. Giants, Bears. My eyes are starting to get blurry, dude. I just don't understand Giants. [00:26:10] Speaker C: Well, that was because you notice there's a, there's a, there's an extra space there this week on the right hand column. Probably through you. [00:26:16] Speaker A: I don't know if it was that or he saw the Bears are fav for once and he kind of got. His eyes got a little blurry. I don't know. It's one of the two, maybe both. [00:26:23] Speaker B: Yeah. Bears fair by four and a half over under 46 and a half. Aaron, go ahead first because we'll let Jason run away with it after this. [00:26:33] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean the Bears coming off that crazy game in Cincinnati. I mean I'm sure Jason, I think he wrote almost had a heart attack watching that one. Giants just not the same team right now about Scaboo there. They've kind of lost the juice and Mojo. This is one of the more out of the favorites this week. This is one of the more I like more. I like the Bears here. Minus four and a half. It was three and a half. Quickly jumped to four and a half the other day. I see it getting to five. Five and a half. Bears. I like them by a touchdown to more here. Give me the Bears at home to beat the dart and the Giants. [00:27:07] Speaker C: Jason, you know, I agree wrong. I mean I was gonna do a whole thing to try to try to think I was gonna pick the Giants, but there's no chance. Bears. The Bears are a top 10 offense in the league. I mean they're mostly in categories where you're talking their top three, you know, top six and a lot of things as far as points and everything. The defense is the big question mark for them. But as Aaron mentioned, it's a different Giants team. You've lost. Scatter. Boo. You lost neighbors. You know, we're plugging guys in here there to guys around guard. The Bears defense is an opportunistic defense. So they're giving up tons of yards. They've given up tons of points in different games. But turnovers is the key and that's what they're banking on. You're playing a rookie quarterback. I think they get the couple turnovers and that's what's fueled a lot of these wins for the Bears in key moments. You know, I think, you know, at this point you're going to expect the boy, the the the Bears to score offensively, which I've never said in my, you know, entire life watching Bears offensive football. But I'm looking forward to the offense going. You know, we can say, you know, we'll have this conversation every week about Caleb Williams and his draft class. But please tell me the Bo Knicks conversation right now versus Caleb Williams as I'll keep ranking Caleb against his draft. But okay, but four and a half. As Aaron said, touchdown or more. Give me the Bears. [00:28:19] Speaker B: Yeah, you know Caleb should really hire you for for PR man because you've been batting for him saying he's the best quarterback in this draft since last year and haven't now you have even more ammo when when everyone else is hurt and injured. So yeah, I like the Bears in this one. Scatter. Boo Boo. Too many boo boos on the Giants. Easy pick so don't let me down. Bears afternoon games Cardinals Seahawks Seahawks 6 1/2 at home against a Cardinals team that looks a lot more alive with Jacoby Brissette under center, Murray on IR down at least four games or for the next four weeks. Jason, who you got? [00:29:04] Speaker C: Yeah I picked a lot of favorites this week and I do really like the Seahawks and think they win this game but something about the Cardinals regardless of where their win loss record is at the keep games close and we were talking about here a few minutes ago as far as like some of the heartbreaking stuff they've had even with percent behind the center. I think there, there's an element of them that can keep this game close. I'll give the Cardinals plus six and a half. [00:29:29] Speaker B: Aaron yeah Rome. [00:29:30] Speaker A: I mean the Cardinals have lost five games this year four points or less. You're going to give me six and a half. It's at Seattle. This isn't on the road. Seattle, the road warriors as they are, are great at home. They've been shaky the last year and a half. All their losses this year have been at home. Jacoby Brissette looked good. This offense is confident with him. He was going to get the start. I think regardless of Kyler Murray was healthy. Seattle wins a close one. But I like, I like Arizona to cover here six and a half. It's one of these divisional games with a lot of points. We know it's going to be a close battle. Last time they played it was 23:20. Seahawks won it at the horn with a field goal. Could be anything for a similar game. I'll take Arizona plus because six and a half. [00:30:10] Speaker B: Yeah you know this one I've actually struggled with because it is a divisional game and Cardinals have like really good with Brissette but Seahawks he also picked up a wide receiver. Maybe the Seahawks kick it up another notch on on offense this week it's hard because it's a divisional game so I got the Cardinals now but on Sunday I might be tweeting like this is a Seahawks to cover kind of field depending on what the rest of the entry report's going to come out to be. Lions commanders Lions favor by Seven and a half on the road to Washington over under 49. Aaron. [00:30:46] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, we all saw what happened to the Commanders on Sunday night. Not only did they just get the bricks beat out of them, but they lost Jaden Daniels. This line has come down from eight and a half. Nine to seven and a half. The Lions coming off an unimpressive game against the Vikings. Off a bye. [00:31:01] Speaker B: Very unimpressive. [00:31:03] Speaker A: I don't see them laying an egg two weeks in a row. I mean, seven and a half's a lot here, but this is one of the few spots where the Commanders just. I don't know what they got left in the building. They lost Lattimore, their best corner for the season, to a torn acl, Their D lines already banged up. You could run the ball in the Commanders. You can throw the ball. I mean, Sam Darnold looked like a Hall of Famer. Just give him the gold, Jack. And Pitt and Canton, Ohio, that performance against the Commanders, I think the Lions have a field day here. They're going to want to bounce back Dan Campbell's, you know, biting kneecaps, whatever they got to do. And if you're the Commanders, why win? I mean, they got. They're the oldest team in the National Football League. They got to get some youth. [00:31:38] Speaker B: Are they really? [00:31:39] Speaker A: Yeah. Getting a high draft pick, maybe getting some rid of these bad players that are old and washed up is a good thing for them. So I'm going Detroit to bounce back nicely here. I'll take them -7 and a half against Commanders Detroit. Roof. [00:31:54] Speaker C: Roof. Roof. [00:31:54] Speaker B: Jason. [00:31:57] Speaker C: I don't. I don't know what that was, but. [00:31:58] Speaker A: I think you're supposed to, like, do a lion growl or something. Room, not like a pit bull, you know, I don't know what the hell. [00:32:04] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm not. I'm not doing a lion growl on the pod. [00:32:07] Speaker C: I. I don't know. Well, I mean, you did a dog bark. I don't know if that was because Aaron said Dan Cabell's got people biting kneecaps or whatever it was, but whatever the analogy is, I agree with Aaron on this. Take Detroit, you know, bad performance coming out of the buy. And, you know, this is the type of team that when they can. They. They do run. They do run it up. The injuries, as Aaron mentioned, for the Commanders, with Jaden Daniels, Lattimore, Tyler McLaren's probably not playing. Luke McCaffrey's down the D line. I think Eddie Goldman is maybe questionable. So it's a concussion. So just a lot of things not going Right. For the commanders. They're not a good team. Nowhere close to what they were capturing the magic of a year ago when they went to the NFC championship game. So the Lions definitely got something to prove. Super competitive NFC north, where you're separated, basically, but like a game and a half from first to last. Give me the Lions minus seven and a half. [00:33:00] Speaker B: You've been so critical of Washington too, man. They're banked up, dude. [00:33:04] Speaker C: Oh, oh. Things that I'm right. The things that I'm right about. Right. I'm critical. [00:33:08] Speaker B: Right? [00:33:09] Speaker C: Things that I'm right about. Gotcha. Okay. [00:33:10] Speaker B: They're not a good team. They've been a good team. I wouldn't go that far. We. [00:33:15] Speaker A: We mentioned this a month ago. Whoever loses that commander's Bears game, like they're just season goes in the tank. And the commanders got the bad luck this year. That's just how it went. [00:33:23] Speaker B: It could be. It could be. Could be the witch's craft. Yeah, I like the Lions, dude. They played like last week. No way they're doing back to back weeks like that. Whether. Can the commander surprise us all and. And. And be competitive with. Who's your backup quarterback? [00:33:39] Speaker A: Mariota. [00:33:40] Speaker B: Mariota. He looked pretty bad last time, right? Didn't watch too much of it. Yeah. Lions. Next one up, Rams, Niners. The game of the week. The game. Actually one of the games of the weeks. There's two games of the week this week. Ah, there's actually three actually, just like last week. All the good games are in the late afternoon night and Monday night games. Thank God. So we got Rams Niners here in Santa Clara. Rams favorite on the road. [00:34:12] Speaker C: Jason, did they name Purdy back yet? Is he. Is he in this week? [00:34:17] Speaker B: Aaron, I don't. People are calling for him to come back. I don't think he's coming back, but people like, at some point you just got to come back no matter what. Whether you're. [00:34:25] Speaker C: I don't know the. The injury designation, but I'm, you know, one of my million fantasy leagues in a keeper league. I had Mac Jones and he goes from like having fantasy projections to now that today he had zero fantasy projection. So I'm guessing like, okay, that means they're putting Purdy back in. I Rome. I walked in halfway pre recording here. I think you were talking about the Rams. I saw on social media, I believe you put your top eight out there. The Rams were on top of that list, if I'm not mistaken. Or was that last week's list? [00:34:56] Speaker B: Say that again. I'm sorry. [00:34:58] Speaker C: So your top eight Rams are number one on that list. [00:35:01] Speaker B: They are. They are number one. [00:35:03] Speaker A: Okay. [00:35:04] Speaker B: Which. I think it's someone. I got some ugly messages on social media today about it from people in. [00:35:10] Speaker C: San Francisco or what. [00:35:12] Speaker B: I don't know where they're from. They. We got a message on, on the, on the account saying that I was full of shit for putting the Rams above the Niners in the power rankings. I'm like, well, Niners are good. I like the Niners. I want to put in the power rankings. There's only eight slots. They're not in the top eight right now. Not doing better. [00:35:30] Speaker C: I mean, that may be the, the Rams have looked really good. The Niners have really good, good, good. Considering the, the schedule and the, the injuries that they've had. It's a weird line for me at four and a half. It's one of those things where we didn't expect the Niners to beat the Rams first time around with the injuries that had. And they were able to grab that victory. [00:35:52] Speaker A: And that game was so good. [00:35:54] Speaker C: It was a good game. But the Rams, they just been on a tear lately. They really surprised us in London against the Jags, who were kind of supposed to be good. Where the Jags stand out there really stifled the Ravens, even though that wasn't the, Obviously the Lamar Jackson Ravens, and they beat up a bad Saints team. I'm toying with this spread back and forth. I think just because it's that four and a half, it's not closer to the field goal. I'm going to lean Niners plus four and a half. [00:36:22] Speaker A: Whoa. [00:36:24] Speaker B: Okay. I dig it, Aaron. [00:36:26] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, I'm, I'm taking the home dog Niners here, too. Four and a half. I mean, they already beat him once. The Niners play well at home. They've only lost, what, the one game to what, Jacksonville at home? I believe it's the only game they lost there. Rams have beat up on some teams. You know, the Saints and London game against the Jags. You know, Pukinaku is always hurt, like, every other quarter. You never know if he's going to finish a game. So, you know, I, I, I, I, I give the odds better for the, him not finishing the game. The Rams covering this week. I think the Niners beat him again outright. I'm not even gonna lie. I like, I like the 49ers to win this game again. Kyle Shanahan is owned. Sean McVeigh, that's one of the few guys. Sean McVeigh's not being able to figure out he used to own him of Garoppolo. He owns it with Mac Jones. Give me the Mack Daddy. I like the Niners to win in this one, so I'll take the four and a half. [00:37:16] Speaker B: Yeah, Niners have had some pretty interesting games this year. [00:37:25] Speaker A: Are you going to this one? [00:37:26] Speaker B: I would like to go. I know my friend Will and Bonnie, his wife, they're gonna be tailgating again. He's. He. They said just try to make it out there. So I might just like show up and pull one of my friends tips and take like 40 bucks in cash and see if I can sneak my way into the stadium. And that's what I'm gonna do. [00:37:44] Speaker C: I was gonna ask. I don't want to reveal names and stuff, but there was this. The. The guy that's gonna get you in with no seat and you just walk into Levi's. [00:37:52] Speaker B: Yeah, because honestly, the seating isn't that great at Levi's Stadium anyways. And I wouldn't mind hanging out at the Budweiser patio. Four Niner girls are. Are phenomenally pretty. So I, you know, I could probably have. Have a good time up there anyways, you know, and. Yeah, just have a good time. Have a good time. It's always a good time. [00:38:12] Speaker A: It's all about having a good time in the stadium. [00:38:13] Speaker B: That's what it's all about, having a good time. You know, I wasn't really sure what to do. This is like one of the few games I didn't really have a pick coming in. But Jason, you kind of talked me into it and, and the Niners now looking back, it was a pretty gritty performance against the Giants. Giants showed out last week and yeah, you know, just really tough team. So. Yeah, four and a half points for the Niners. Why not? Is that a clean soup on that one? [00:38:39] Speaker A: Yes, sir. [00:38:39] Speaker C: Was. [00:38:40] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:38:41] Speaker B: All right. Steelers, Chargers. If this doesn't get your dick hard, I don't know what will. Steelers and Sofi Stadium chargers favor by 2 and a half. 44 and a half over under Sunday night. What's not to love for Sunday Night Football with my Steelers facing the San Diego Chargers in la. [00:39:01] Speaker A: Jason, you mean the Los Angeles Chargers in la Rome. I just want to get that. [00:39:05] Speaker B: That was on purpose. [00:39:07] Speaker C: Yeah, I think he was trying. [00:39:08] Speaker A: I'm not sure. That was not anywhere. Rome. I mean, D. Murray or whatever that guy's name is. I don't know who he is. [00:39:15] Speaker C: I was giving him the benefit of doubt. He was making a passive aggressive thing against the Angels or he's calling the Chargers the San Diego Chargers of Los Angeles. [00:39:23] Speaker B: I've been doing it all year long, guys. [00:39:25] Speaker A: You know, maybe because you guys share the same birthday, you guys have that connection, but I wasn't getting that vibe. Just saying. [00:39:31] Speaker C: So I was trying to give the host the benefit of the doubt. You know, he's still. [00:39:34] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:39:34] Speaker C: Dreaming about San Francisco 49er cheerleaders and stuff. So I think, you know, you know. [00:39:40] Speaker B: I didn't mention cheerleaders, but. [00:39:44] Speaker C: Sorry, I, I guess I misheard that. I thought that. Guys, that's your target. All right. Yeah, I, I, you're, I don't know if I'm as enthusiastic about this. Given your enthusiasm, Rome. I mean Aaron is as loosely a charger season ticket holder and you the big Steelers fans, I'm questioning why you're not just driving down to Sofi right now to check this game out and your, your precious Steelers. If this is the game of the week right now, I, I would love. [00:40:09] Speaker A: He just said he's going, he just said he's going to be at 49ers, so unless he's got like a little he can take, he could maybe make 12 games. [00:40:17] Speaker C: Well, that's why I was asking why he's going to the Niners game when he just can be going down to LA and watching this game. Aaron. I mean, maybe it sounds like, it. [00:40:25] Speaker A: Sounds like he gets in for 40 at Levi's and it's about 340 to get over at Sofi. [00:40:30] Speaker B: If someone offered me tickets, I would drive down a heartbeat. I would do whatever it takes to go down to the Steelers for sure and wear my Harrison jersey. [00:40:38] Speaker C: Okay. [00:40:38] Speaker B: I gotta break the curse on the jersey. [00:40:40] Speaker C: There's a curse on the jersey. [00:40:41] Speaker B: Every time I wear it, they lose. [00:40:44] Speaker C: Gotcha. All right. [00:40:45] Speaker B: My daughter wears her jersey though, if they win so. [00:40:48] Speaker C: Well, sounds like, you know, it's jersey she needs to wear this week. [00:40:51] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly. All right, all right, back on track here. [00:40:56] Speaker C: All right, well, I'm not enthused about your Steelers Rome and that should be good for you because I wasn't enthused about them last week either. So maybe I can also bring you the curses. Okay. If I'm gonna pick it against your Steelers, they win. But I do like the Chargers where they're at and I think, you know, we. Justin Herbert continues to get the offense going, lad McConkey more into the passing game. You know, they're into like their seventh or eighth string running back, but they still got stuff going there gonna be a tight game, but it's only a two and a half point spread. I'll take the Chargers minus two and a half. [00:41:28] Speaker A: Yeah, this number was three all week. It's gonna, it's come down. So that tells me the money's been coming in on the Steelers Chargers like Jason mentioned. I love all the skill position players but who's going to be blocking Joe Outs out for the season? This The Chargers are 2 and 3 without them. Pittsburgh just coming off the biggest win. We talked about how bad that defense has played. They showed up against Indy who was the hottest, best offense in the NFL. I think they figured out some things, you know, they can't play man coverage now they're kind of mixing that zone, man, letting their ants kind of rush in. Chargers run game hasn't been great. I like the Steelers plus two and a half. I like the Steelers that get a win in Sofi. So I'm going to take the away dog here and what's going to be a big playoff seating game for both teams here if they're going to have a shot and the Steelers obviously want to win that division to get in. [00:42:23] Speaker B: Yeah. Big time. Yeah. Chargers have just been so unlucky with injuries, man. And that's been their M.O. right in their history. Losing Joe all that's tough. They actually picked up another left guard but it was from the Saints or. [00:42:35] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:42:35] Speaker B: Who's it from? [00:42:36] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:42:37] Speaker B: So kind of pitch pack, pitch patch work here and honestly the charts have been like really like underwhelming for a Jim Harbaugh team. Right. It's, it's, it's not as going as well as we thought it was going to go for year. Two Steelers slowly plugging things in. Rodgers looking nice. The defense finally put their first complete game in. Take away the second half of that fourth quarter when the Colts made a little chargeback. But I like my guys, I like the guys in gold and black to take it away in LA this Sunday night. I'm gonna be really pumped for that. I'll be really pumped or really pissed. We'll find out. Last game Monday night. [00:43:19] Speaker A: Eagles. [00:43:20] Speaker B: Packers. Packers. What a disappointment, huh? Huh? Couldn't cover 13 and a half last week. Are they good? Are they not? Are they pretenders? I don't know. This is a, this is a tough one. They're favored by two and a half with the Eagles in town. Aaron, go ahead. [00:43:37] Speaker A: Yeah, Rome. I mean I haven't watched your guys's recap on Sunday, but I heard Jay Z. Jason was going off on love or something was what I was Hearing wasn't feeling it. [00:43:48] Speaker C: I guess that's the title. That's the title of the pot. Of the pot. That episode. Apparently, that's what I saw. So. [00:43:55] Speaker A: So no. No Love for Jordan Love. [00:43:58] Speaker B: Is that what I put? Is that what I put. [00:44:00] Speaker C: All I, all I said is like, Jordan Love's got a little Will Levis in him that he throws some of the worst you could possibly seen. [00:44:10] Speaker A: I think Will Levis is a stretch because Will have is a place that guy makes. Yeah. But I mean, no, Jordan Love does some stuff that makes you shake your head. No doubt about it. And I like the Eagles here coming off a buy. I mean, the packers haven't. Have not really lived up to the hype. They don't beat anybody. They kind of play slow, methodical. They're kind of like the Denver Broncos right now without the good luck that the Broncos have gotten the afc, they just kind of sneak up and try to win games late. Eagles, you're giving me points Coming off a buy. AJ Brown looks like he'll be back. Obviously, the Eagles made some trades too, for, you know, Carter from the jets to pit in there in the secondary. They got Phillips from Miami to kind of increase his pass rush. Fangio of two weeks to prepare. I, I like the Eagles to win here, so I'm going to take them. Packers are going to lose their second straight at home. [00:45:05] Speaker B: Wow. Jesus, Jason. [00:45:08] Speaker C: Well, I'm going to take the Eagles too. I mean, obviously I don't need to say much. You can just, I guess, reference what my take was on Sunday night about, you know, where the packers are at, you know, haven't looked good. I, you know, a lot of what I said playing down to their opponent. I don't know if they can rise up to play the Eagles. You know, the Eagles are making moves here at the deadline. I mean, they get. They got a gm, you know, Howie Roseman, who, you know, he's almost doing. He's almost a baseball GM. What do we have, like 10 trades here at the trade deadline for the NFL or something like that? I mean, generally don't get that in the NFL, but the Eagles find where they need to go. I just, there's so something more with the Eagles offensively we just haven't seen. Seen. You know, I, it's. It's almost. You tune into an Eagles game and they're just, you know, second and three and we're doing three tush pushes to get it across the line every which way. And so I know they had some big, you know, big Revenge game against the Giants. This is going to mean a lot when it comes to NFC seating. The. The Eagles have seemed to be the best team the nfcs. We crown them even though the Rams rising in the ranks. A lot of people seeing that. I, I think this is a big game for the Eagles to prove where they're at. I'm not believing in the packers, but that's a Chicago Bears fan speaking right now. So I guess you're gonna, you know, you call me biased on this. Oh, okay. [00:46:19] Speaker A: Whatever. [00:46:19] Speaker C: Wrong. It's fine. It's fine. Jordan Love and yeah, I mean it's. It's fine. [00:46:25] Speaker B: I totally forgot what the name of the pod was and yeah, I guess. [00:46:30] Speaker A: I might as well look it up. I might as well look. [00:46:31] Speaker B: Steelers corral Colts. Jason's disdain for Jordan Love of the Dodgers. I didn't even hide it. [00:46:38] Speaker C: I think disdain's a strong word. I like that was like anything I, you know, I said, I said he's a, he's an average quarterback in the middle. [00:46:46] Speaker A: I just try to think Jordan Love is average but I mean going the Will Levis route, that's a little low even for Jason. That's what the case is. [00:46:55] Speaker C: Context was it? I said, when he throws interceptions, it's some of the worst interceptions you have seen. I said he's got a little Will Levis in him. [00:47:03] Speaker B: That is a little Will, a little Willie. He has. That's what he said. [00:47:08] Speaker A: Hey, when it gets below, when it gets below zero, you get a little willy. No doubt about it. [00:47:14] Speaker B: I don't know why I said that, dude. Jesus Christ. All right. Yeah. I didn't mean to put you on blast on the title, dude. I don't know, it was late. I was. I always try to come up with like really cool titles and it was ringing at that time, so that's hilarious. I'm actually gonna take the packers in this one. They played really well on home all year round aside from that game against the Panthers. But people have those games against the Panthers. It's just like really hit or miss. They kind of got caught by surprise. They played down the competition. I think they've had enough time to prepare for the Eagles. Even with the Eagles with the buy, I just don't see them having back to back ugly weeks. That's been like their M.O. so far this year as well. Love will have a bounce back game. I think Mika will be involved Eagles. I know they're going to be swinging for the fences, trying to get a repeat here, back to back here, but you Know, they just kind of feel kind of due here. I'm gonna go with the pack on this one. With the two and a half, they went by a field goal to barely cover. All right, well, that does it for the Lions. Any final thoughts? [00:48:22] Speaker C: I don't know. [00:48:22] Speaker B: I don't. [00:48:23] Speaker C: I don't know if I want to. [00:48:23] Speaker A: Give you any more. [00:48:24] Speaker C: It's gonna turn into a headline of the pod. [00:48:25] Speaker B: You know, at this point, I was like, what? Like, it was on the title, and, like, oh, it isn't a title. [00:48:31] Speaker C: Well, you know, you get the push notifications for the episode, and I'm just like, I don't remember being that aggressive on a. On a Jordan Love take, but. Okay, whatever you say. [00:48:40] Speaker B: Well, I did put Jordan Love and the Dodgers, so. [00:48:43] Speaker C: Okay, well, I mean, you know. [00:48:48] Speaker A: Rough Rome. I mean, you're having a rough week, Rome. I mean, you got, what, social media calling you out for pitting the Rams number one in your power rankings. [00:48:57] Speaker B: Dude, I even saw someone also commented on our Facebook page saying, like, Eagles should be one these rankings. And it's like, eagles. [00:49:07] Speaker A: Hey, you know what? [00:49:09] Speaker B: That's why I'm going for the pack, too. I need the pack to beat up the Eagles, to shut those Eagle fans up a little bit, bring them down to earth. [00:49:15] Speaker A: You know, I've. I've questioned your top eight as well, Rome, but these guys, they've taken it a step further. Just calling it a complete joke. [00:49:23] Speaker B: My top eight. Solid, dude. So top solid computer rankings going on here. Unbiased rankings here. I don't know what to do with the Broncos. The last time I put them in the power rankings, they won, but it was ugly. I think that was, like, in. [00:49:35] Speaker A: In. [00:49:36] Speaker B: In London, right? Or one of those. [00:49:40] Speaker C: And they're definitely that rough one in Logan. I mean, it's tough to not put an 8 and 2 team in the power rankings, but I took them out. [00:49:46] Speaker B: Even though they won, I feel like taking them out again for that performance and cost me potentially a final, a fantasy win. [00:49:53] Speaker C: Well, I mean, you're consistent, Rome, because you did this. You mentioned your comparison to the Chiefs, and you had the. The Chiefs, like, at, like, I don't know, 15 or something last year when they were, like, 14 and 2 or something. [00:50:04] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:50:06] Speaker B: Wasn't hating that much. [00:50:08] Speaker A: It was pretty bad. [00:50:09] Speaker B: It was pretty top five, dude. They don't deserve. [00:50:14] Speaker C: Rome when they lost in the Super Bowl. [00:50:17] Speaker A: Yeah, let's put it this way. Like, Rome, he'll take the Broncos out. He'll take the Broncos out with a win, but he'll move the Lions up of a loss. That's how Rome operates. That's why. [00:50:27] Speaker B: Get out of here, dude. [00:50:28] Speaker A: That's why they're calling you. That's why they're calling you out, Rome. [00:50:31] Speaker B: I've never done that. [00:50:33] Speaker A: Hey, I. [00:50:35] Speaker B: Initially, I. I did, like, lower the Lions, like, five spots. I'm like, I can't do that to the Lions. It was just. It was just a bad week against the Vikings. Can't punish them that much. Lots at stake, though, in the prior rankings. We can have some shifts here, especially in the bottom four if they don't come through. So I might extend it to, like, top 14 teams. I don't know. [00:50:52] Speaker A: Is that. Is. Is the power ranking they're talking about the newly released power ranking you gave, I guess, on Sunday, rome. [00:50:58] Speaker B: That's week 10. Yeah. [00:51:00] Speaker A: So, I mean, what. What was the order for that? I. I wasn't around for that show, so. What. What. [00:51:05] Speaker B: I don't think we actually talked about it on the social. [00:51:06] Speaker A: Obviously, the Rams at one is getting a lot of hate. [00:51:09] Speaker C: We. [00:51:09] Speaker A: We didn't. [00:51:10] Speaker C: We didn't talk about it on the show. Actually, Aaron, it would. This is. This is a just purely social media, you know, generated one. He just put it out there, and I'm just put right there for the comments, you know. [00:51:20] Speaker B: Yeah. I'm surprised we're getting DMs. One guy commented like, he likes the power rankings, but I'm gonna talk that one. So Rams are number one. [00:51:30] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:51:30] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. You know, the Eagles, Rome, but okay. [00:51:36] Speaker B: It doesn't matter. It's. It's not based on. [00:51:38] Speaker A: You sound like the college football committee. Like, why even have a committee? It doesn't matter. Like, Eagles are ahead of the rams. Let's go. [00:51:45] Speaker B: No. 1 recent games. Dude, get out of here. [00:51:49] Speaker A: No wonder your. [00:51:50] Speaker B: If this is your rankings. Yeah. Florida stay in the top five. [00:51:54] Speaker A: Number three. [00:51:56] Speaker B: Seahawks, number four. [00:51:57] Speaker A: Okay. [00:51:58] Speaker B: Remember, they had some wins. I dropped the Colts from one to three. I didn't want to drop them too much. I think the Seals are a good team. So, you know, Lions are at number five. [00:52:09] Speaker A: Okay. [00:52:10] Speaker B: They dropped because they lost. Bucks were on a bye week. They dropped from four to six, which is fair based on the wins by the Rams, Eagles and Colts, or Seahawks, rather. Patriots at number seven. [00:52:24] Speaker A: Okay. [00:52:25] Speaker B: Okay. And then Broncos at number eight. [00:52:29] Speaker A: All right. I mean, I don't. I don't agree with your list, Rome, so. No, but it wasn't me that commented. [00:52:36] Speaker B: I wanted to put the Niners in there. I thought I was going in the Giants. Who Else is up there. It's like three or four teams I was considering, but, I mean, I would. [00:52:45] Speaker A: Take the bucks out. I think you have to have the Bills in there. [00:52:50] Speaker B: I want to. After last week's win. Yeah. It's just I. I typically don't drop teams just for a buy, so I just dropped in two spots, but we'll see how it come. What happens after this week? [00:52:59] Speaker C: Well, the Lions at five and three at number five. I think was. Is. Is. Was a little bit of a question mark. [00:53:04] Speaker B: All right. Well, they're at two last week, you know, or there are two the last two weeks. What was the last two games? [00:53:12] Speaker A: Yeah, they lost against the Chiefs. They lost against the Chiefs and won a game and then lost. Right. [00:53:16] Speaker B: They were number one at week six going to week six. Then they dropped into number three at week seven. Then they climbed back up to number two after going into week eight. [00:53:27] Speaker A: So week eight. [00:53:28] Speaker B: Let's see. I'm looking at the schedule right now. [00:53:30] Speaker A: They were on a. They were on a buy in week eight, and then they lost week seven. [00:53:33] Speaker C: Right. [00:53:34] Speaker B: Okay. That's why. That's why nothing changed. [00:53:38] Speaker C: So they lost. [00:53:38] Speaker A: Yeah, they lost to Kansas City, then they beat Tampa Bay. [00:53:41] Speaker C: So moral of the story is all these teams are the same. They could lose any given Sunday. [00:53:46] Speaker A: Pretty much. [00:53:47] Speaker B: There's been like one or two new teams every week. [00:53:49] Speaker C: I'll say the funny thing, if you mentioned the guy who commented on the Eagles, like, I. Eagles probably been consistently saying best team in the NFC, but, you know, it's a team that's only a plus 23 and point differential. I mean, the Colts at a plus 109 right now, they. They blow people out. [00:54:06] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:54:06] Speaker B: That's why I didn't want to drop them too much. They're good Eagles. Yeah. I did want to bring. Yeah, the packers are not in the power A right now. You know, they had a tough loss. Seahawks, Rams, Bills. [00:54:19] Speaker C: That's right. You can. [00:54:20] Speaker B: I want to put the Steelers in there. I want to put the Steelers in there. But there's not. There's no room. [00:54:24] Speaker A: You can't put the Steelers if they lose to Cincinnati. Anybody loses a Cincinnati, you almost. You can't put it at the top. I mean, Rome, you say these games don't matter yet you want to throw the Steelers in there. That's why these guys are completely shit on. Dude. No, the Steelers are definitely not a top eight team. They're not even. They're barely even a top eight team in the afc. [00:54:47] Speaker B: Oh, strongly disagree. [00:54:49] Speaker A: Well, according our audience does It. [00:54:52] Speaker B: Well, that's the fun, right? Yeah, that's the fun. I don't get offended because some idiot Eagles fan wants to say how they should be number one or the Niners should be above the Rams in the power rankings. [00:55:05] Speaker A: Like that's nine with nine starters out. [00:55:09] Speaker B: So you want me to put the Niners one? [00:55:11] Speaker A: Why, why are the Rams one? [00:55:14] Speaker B: Just based on the top. What happened last week? [00:55:17] Speaker C: Listen, he goes off of feelings and vibes, Aaron. They're looking good. You know. You know the good thing for you? Hey, the Rams and the Niners play this week winners number one in Rome's power rankings. Man, put the stipulation on it. You're booking it like pro wrestling right now, Right? [00:55:33] Speaker A: I like it. I think you get. No, no, even better. You got an elimination. So whoever wants between packers and Eagles is out of the top eight. In fact, they're banned from the top eight. And the Rams lose twice to the Niners. You can never pin them ahead of them, even if the Niners lose the rest of their games. I, I like it. [00:55:52] Speaker B: Jason, you would have such a. Yeah. Such a volatile rankings there. They're just banned. [00:55:59] Speaker A: And honestly, I think you have to put the Lions basically last. They lost to the packers and the Vikings. They're the fourth best team in the, in that division based off power rankings. Doesn't matter. Never mind. It doesn't matter. Sorry. [00:56:10] Speaker B: It does matter. But there's also like, you know, recent wins. [00:56:14] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:56:14] Speaker B: You know, you just can't. [00:56:16] Speaker A: I got you wrong like that. [00:56:20] Speaker B: All right. [00:56:21] Speaker C: Rome's got his own BCS formula working on this. Aaron, you can't question the math behind this. [00:56:25] Speaker A: Hey, I just, I mean, I like it because it sounds like UCLA and Florida State are locked for the playoffs in college football. So let's do it. I like that formula. [00:56:33] Speaker B: Go check out the Ringers power rankings. Right. My kicks ass. [00:56:36] Speaker A: I, I, I, I, I don't listen to anything, Ringer. [00:56:39] Speaker B: I'm not putting Chiefs number one. [00:56:42] Speaker A: All right. [00:56:44] Speaker B: All right. Any other comments on the peanut gallery here? [00:56:48] Speaker C: No comments there. Didn't realize our overall rankings were so close. I mean, I'm, I'm Aaron top dog right now, and I. You're one game behind him, Rome, and I'm two games back. So a lot of times we got. [00:57:02] Speaker A: A lot of different picks this week, so I think we're gonna have a shake up again. [00:57:06] Speaker B: Yeah, it's been like that all year. Pretty wild. [00:57:10] Speaker A: Yeah, I think it's gonna be a dog week, so I think that's why Roma's barking Early. It's gonna be a dog week. I think a lot of dogs are gonna come through and covers. That's. I think that's the hint. The subtitle hint. Look at that. [00:57:20] Speaker C: Look. Wrong call back. Not a lion week. Dog week. [00:57:28] Speaker A: I was picturing, like, you watching that Allstate. You watching that Allstate commercial, Rome or what? [00:57:34] Speaker B: You know, Allstate. I remember telling somebody this, but I, I, I, I canceled my Allstate Insurance when LeBron became a spokesperson for them. [00:57:41] Speaker A: When was that, like 15 years ago? [00:57:43] Speaker B: Yeah, it was. Yeah. Funny stuff. Yeah. Aaron, you're on, like, on a little. A little streak here. Leading the pack for the last two weeks. [00:57:55] Speaker A: Hopefully. Hopefully. And keep it going. I feel good about this week. I feel good about the college week this week. So let's. Let's see how it rides. [00:58:03] Speaker B: Yeah, let's ride or whatever it says. All right, I'll do it. Starts with a sofa. Lines out every single Friday out on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts. If you get a chance, put out a review on Spotify. We need some. We got some more reviews on Apple podcasts. Some people calling us. We would be the best sports radio show on there if we were on a sports station. So thank you for that comment, but. [00:58:31] Speaker A: We are definitely a different audience on Apple than there is on your IG feed. Their Rome based off the comments. [00:58:39] Speaker B: 100%. 100%. And I don't, I don't know where it connects. We've had about 20,000 people check out our content in the past 30 days, so pretty cool stuff. Aaron's making fun of Otani. Top views so far right now on ig, and then I think making the money back is the top reel right now with just short of 1700. [00:59:03] Speaker A: Didn't we get a. Didn't we get a comment that somebody agreed on that? [00:59:07] Speaker B: I don't know. [00:59:08] Speaker A: I forgot something, but, yeah, I'll go back to that. No, no one's. No one's denying the reports that I mentioned. [00:59:14] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:59:16] Speaker B: All right, I'll do it, man. Lions, week 11. It's already week 11. [00:59:23] Speaker A: 10. Week 10. [00:59:24] Speaker B: This is week 11. [00:59:25] Speaker A: Week 11, college football week 10. NFL. I mean, I, I would be curious, Rome, since you brought up Ohtani. I'd be curious who he's betting this weekend now that baseball's over. You know, he's, you know, he's. He's, you know, he's in. You know, he's digging in deep now as we get to the second half of the NFL season. [00:59:40] Speaker B: I told you, if you could Find the clips of him speaking pretty good English with the, with the guys in the clubhouse and then him only speaking Japanese in the. An interview. I'll do a clip with you talking shit. I'm pretty sure we'll get some views. [00:59:51] Speaker C: There was a lot, there was a lot of Twitter followers, I think post like post game interview, the World Series or something like that where he says like thank you or something in like perfect English with no. [01:00:02] Speaker B: Oh, he said a lot of things. Oh yeah, he's been in the country for a while. It's been in LA for a while. Yeah. Pretty funny stuff. [01:00:11] Speaker C: I, I don't blame him. [01:00:13] Speaker B: I don't blame either. [01:00:13] Speaker C: I've taken. I mean that's, that's always the stuff. Imagine going to another country and like, you know the criticism if you say anything and where things would be at, like, I don't blame them. [01:00:22] Speaker B: Yamamoto for sure doesn't speak English though. And the Sasaki guy definitely doesn't either. But pretty sure Ohtani knows a good amount of English. Maybe not court ready English, but a lot of English. [01:00:34] Speaker A: He understands every word you're saying in English, let's put it that way. That I can tell you whether or not he could speak it. A good conversation with you. Like we are might not be there fully, but he knows everything you're saying in English. Absolutely. He wouldn't know because he knows when fans are hackling them and all that. And Dave Rose like, oh yeah, he got in the fan's face because. So he knows. [01:00:54] Speaker B: What about when he was like hitting on that, on that cute blonde chick on, on the Sparks? Cameron something. [01:01:00] Speaker C: Cameron Brink. [01:01:02] Speaker B: Yeah, Cameron Brink. [01:01:03] Speaker A: I thought Ohtani was like a newly married, happy man, dude. [01:01:06] Speaker B: Not. Yeah, but there. Yeah, he was. He was just, you know, having a good game. Having a good game all around. All right, they'll do for the Lions. Even with six teams on the by, we still managed to crank out an hour. Really impressive. Guys. We are out.
