[00:00:02] Speaker A: All right, welcome back. Sources from the sofa. I passed out at some point during Thursday night Football so I missed the whole fucking thing. Apparently we went to overtime and the guys tried calling me to wake me up. And here we are finally recording for the show. Guys, how was, how was the game? [00:00:22] Speaker B: Well, first and foremost, Aaron was not on the show on Monday. He was in Las Vegas. And Roman, I discuss, you know, whether Aaron would be found after his weekend in Vegas. However, when it comes time to recording, Aaron's here and Rome's not. So do we lose Rome over the weekend? Apparently was the big question. Figured you to get this podcast off the ground today. So overall, Roman, I talked a lot about of bad Monday Night Football because we saw a terrible Monday night football game. Luckily it was the double header, but we some really bad Thursday night games the past few weeks and generally overall Thursday night Football, not the best football with the short week, but you missed a good one tonight. Rome shootout from the very beginning. Falcons comeback and an overtime winner for the Falcons. [00:01:15] Speaker C: Yeah, Rome, you chose a bad Thursday night game to fall asleep last week. I wouldn't said for sure that Cowboys, Giants, that was a snoozer, no doubt about that. [00:01:25] Speaker A: Oh yeah, for sure. Yeah. [00:01:26] Speaker C: Kirk Cousins, Baker Mayfield pin on the show. Mike Evans had a good game. Give the Falcons a ton of credit. Bouncing back, trailing most of the game, rallying late, coup a couple big field goals and the Falcons pull out the victory. [00:01:43] Speaker B: Yeah, I would say biggest big day for Kirk over 500 yards as Aaron mentioned. But I think both teams, what you really saw was them spreading the ball around. I think Falcons got to seven different receivers. [00:01:57] Speaker C: Your boy, your boy pits, man. [00:01:59] Speaker B: He finally got pits man. Finally waiting. [00:02:04] Speaker C: Every time he touches the ball, dude, he just, it looks like a wide receiver and a tightening body. I just don't know how they don't give him the ball more. I'm just standing. [00:02:11] Speaker B: I'll say it, I'll say it every week. But they got him the ball seven times tonight and he wasn't even the biggest target with sevens, you know, former Bear Darnell Mooney had nine catches over 100 yards with two TD's, although did. [00:02:22] Speaker C: Have a big drop, couple big drops. [00:02:26] Speaker B: Drake LOnDON, you know, huge, maybe breakout gain considered for him over 154 yard, twelve catches with the TD as well, so. And then in overtime, it was basically a fifth wide receiver, special teams guy and Kadaro Hodge just, he looked like the fastest person in the NFL on that run, really to seal the game towards overtime. But big day, big day for Cousins. I know think we talked a little bit about Aaron just and I think the media overall for Cousins about he's not great in big games, in primetime specifically, but up some big primetime performances the past few ones. [00:03:06] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, you talked about Hodge there running through basically all of Tampa's defense there at the end of the game. Tampa just has kind of been their mo. Go back to week two against Detroit, that bend but don't break. Unfortunately, if you're a Tampa fan, the defense did break tonight, couldn't contain, hold the Falcons out. The offense had a chance to close it out. The defense got a late turnover, offense had to go down, run the clock out, at least get a field goal, go up six. They weren't able to do that. Had the holding penalty referees missed the face mask there on that same play. That would have offset of the penalties. That was a big Tampa got knocked out of field goal range, kicked it, and Falcons did a great job spiking the ball. 1 second left to give coup a chance to even send that game into overtime, get the delay a game. There was a lot, there was a lot going on in this game. The Falcons crowd pretty, pretty worked up. Had that team, it looked like the half the stadium was gone and then magically like they showed the other half of the stadium that was still full at the end of the game. [00:04:07] Speaker A: Oh, really? [00:04:07] Speaker C: But give the Falcons Kirk Cousins 500 yards. Yeah, 500 yards. He got a little swag, a little dance going on afterwards. That was a big win for Atlanta considering that four of the first five games have been at home to get the top spot in that division. [00:04:21] Speaker A: Yes. Another bolt three and two I just saw. Yeah. Who had a 52 yard field goal as time expired. [00:04:27] Speaker B: Yeah, you mentioned KU's game winner, but I mean, even that was kind of shaky going in. He had a kick blocked, missed one early in the game, usually a pretty reliable kicker. And then even in that kick, he made incredible drive by Cousins getting the ball into field goal reigns and they spiked the ball with 1 second left. But through the team's, I guess, joy and exuberance of getting it there, they had to delay a game that made the field goal, you know, from a 47, I think, to a 52. So even that wasn't a lock. So a lot of drama, I think, really, really good games. What you want to see in some primetime football. Yeah. Little regret on my part. I am in Georgia right now about a half hour south of Atlanta. Didn't even think to, you know, that this game was going on right now and this would have been a good game to go to. [00:05:19] Speaker A: It would have been one of great games. [00:05:20] Speaker C: Yeah, you could have went to the game, still came back and made it in time for the pod. Based off the time Rome's waking up. [00:05:26] Speaker B: It would have, you know, generally we. [00:05:27] Speaker C: Would have missed nothing. He would have missed nothing. [00:05:30] Speaker B: Generally record right after the Thursday night game. So maybe I was thinking like, hey, I got a responsibility here to recruit the pod on Roman Aaron's time schedule. But yeah, I could have, could have went to Atlanta, drove all the way back, got overtime, and it's still, you know, after 01:00 a.m. eastern time. [00:05:45] Speaker A: Yeah, no, I totally passed out. [00:05:46] Speaker C: Yeah. Give ku a ton of credit. He's, he's a clutch kicker. That game winner that, you know, four nights ago against the Saints, that was, I think, a 58 yarder. Yeah, 52 is well within his wheelhouse. Got it done. Big win for the Falcons. Big win. Tough loss for Tampa. Given what their schedule looks like coming up. This would have been a nice win for them to have a two game lead in the division. Could come back to her once we get to, you know, weeks 15, 1617 down the stretch. [00:06:17] Speaker A: Yeah, that's crazy. So they're both tied three two now. And man, it's wild. That's a wild game. [00:06:27] Speaker C: It was wild, my friend. It was wild. [00:06:29] Speaker A: I even missed the Mets coming back from, from behind. I watched your braves get eliminated, but dude, I missed everything. [00:06:42] Speaker B: Yeah, you missed a three run homer in the 9th inning by Pete Alonso to send the brewers packing. I don't know if we're getting into the baseball segments. Rome, I let Aaron know before the show while we were waiting for you that I went one in three on my wild card round picks. [00:07:00] Speaker A: You did? Yeah. [00:07:01] Speaker B: So baseball, baseball, not my forte compared to my friend Aaron over here. So we were going to do the baseball preview today. I've already come out of the box almost as bad as you can be. The San Diego Padres, my only successful pip. So as much as I beat on the White Sox and really no, sold the Tigers and Royals for them being only 500 because of their wins against the White Sox, they came out and swept both of their series on the way the into the ALDS. So the AL Central has three of the four American League teams left, which is just wild for a division that a year ago was seen as the worst in baseball. [00:07:46] Speaker A: Yeah, for baseball. I did call the Detroit upset, so I like that one. Surprise. Kansas City won that one. Mets didn't know what to think of it, but, you know, always room for them more or less. And Braves. I was watching that game earlier today or was it yet yesterday came over. Anyone so tired yesterday? [00:08:08] Speaker C: Get your days right. [00:08:09] Speaker A: Dude, I'm so tired. But it was such a great, a great game. It was great. Well, glad you guys caught that game. That's fun. You guys want to go to the lines? [00:08:22] Speaker B: Yeah, over the lines for the weekend. [00:08:29] Speaker A: It looks like we have a game this week over overseas. [00:08:33] Speaker C: That we do. [00:08:34] Speaker B: London. [00:08:35] Speaker A: So jets facing the Vikings. It's a 06:30 a.m. game on Sunday over under 41 and a half. Vikings are slightly favored by two and a half. [00:08:50] Speaker C: Yeah, Rome, like you said, we got the game first game of the international trips here in London. Jets, Vikings. A lot of news surrounding the jets and Devante Adams. Will he be a jet? Will he note I Vikings four and oh, looking to go to five and oh, I like the Vikings in this one. [00:09:10] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean I said it last week for the Vikings versus the packers that that was kind of the game that I felt like, just felt like for the Vikings to drop and they didn't, they came out. But I'm gonna do it again this week. I think Rogers pretty pissed over the poor performance the jets had last week. Let's just say a closer flight from London, from New York than Minnesota is. I think the jets out come out with something to prove out in London. Not one of the games I'm betting. I'm going to give you five games so Roman can hold me honest. This will not be one of the games, but I think the jets win this game. [00:09:49] Speaker C: Me and Jason, I know we're talking about five games. To be betting this is one game I'd be betting. I like the Vikings that cover the two and a half. [00:09:57] Speaker A: You like the Vikings to cover two and a half? [00:09:59] Speaker C: Yeah, I just. The Jets, I think like Jason said, they're going to come out and play hard, but they Vikings right now are just better team, better overall, better coach, better on both sides. It's be very difficult given the jets and their mediocre offense against this defense to have a good successful game. Tough for me to imagine Rogers, the mobility is better, but he's going to get a ton of blitz looks then he's not going to get the one on one coverage of Wilson after this game. The trade for Devante Adams will get done mid flight. [00:10:31] Speaker A: Really? [00:10:33] Speaker C: That's my call. [00:10:36] Speaker A: That is wild. I don't think it's happening, but that'd be pretty fun. I have no, I have like a policy of not going for these overseas games. So I don't know what to expect. The jets have been trash. The Vikings, they're due right, for a loss. So don't know. Baltimore Ravens against. [00:10:54] Speaker C: The only thing I do know about these oversea games is that you're on their time zone, Rome. So you will be up an alert at that time, come kick off. For sure you will be. [00:11:04] Speaker B: I gotta. I gotta understand what a random policy. I just. I don't pick international games. NFL is out of country. Rome, not interested. [00:11:13] Speaker A: Well, you know, you just. Weird things happen overseas. International things happen, you know, they're just all weird, you know, all these overseas games, just weird. [00:11:25] Speaker B: Did he pick the Brazil game? I don't, I don't remember this. That rule for the Brazil game, or is it only in Europe? [00:11:32] Speaker C: I don't think he did pick the Brazil. [00:11:34] Speaker A: No, I didn't. [00:11:36] Speaker C: I'm gonna go back and listen to episode, episode two. That was, I believe, stupid, right? [00:11:43] Speaker A: Got it. [00:11:44] Speaker B: This guy's. He's abstaining like he's hurt. Was it Herb street on, on college game day? I'm not, I'm not gonna make a pick on the game he's calling over. [00:11:52] Speaker C: Here you go. [00:11:56] Speaker A: Hilarious. Next game, Ravens. Bengals. This is gonna be a great game. Over under 50 and a half, Ravens are actually favored, but Bengals are at home. [00:12:08] Speaker C: Bengals at home looking for their first home win of the season. I don't think they get it here. Offensively, I like what I'm seeing from the Bengals, but defensively, they're a mass. Unless they can force two turnovers, give me Baltimore, lay the points, too. [00:12:24] Speaker A: Really? [00:12:25] Speaker B: Yeah. I agree. Agree with Aaron. This is my first one that I'm going to pick for my five of the week. Opened at minus three on ESPN, bet down to minus two and a half for the Ravens. But this is the time for the Ravens to really end the Bengals season, I think, take them out as one of the division contenders and really make it a two man race between the Ravens and the Steelers. Talked about the Bengals, Roman. I talked about their big win last week. I won't say big when it was a must win versus the Panthers, but even that, I think it wasn't as that much of an impressive win from a team that I think a lot of people, including Aaron and I, both expected more this year. The Ravens are going to put that first nail in the coffin this weekend on the Bengals season and agree with Aaron, you know, minus two and a half, take the points. [00:13:13] Speaker A: Oh, that's a. Stay away from me. But bagels need to win. Colts jags jags slightly favorites, oddly, at minus three over under 45 and a half. [00:13:29] Speaker C: Yeah. Jaguars, they've, what, lost ten straight games? Is it ten or nine to ten? I think it's ten gets ten. You know, sources coming out saying, you know, Doug Patrick Peterson has lost the locker room, that the team is basically kind of giving up on him. He's not going to make it to the end of the season if those rumors and sources are true. Jaguars are in trouble. Colts have won two in a row. I like the momentum they're playing with defensively, they've figured things out. Offensively, we know they got some explosiveness in the run game and pass game, whether it's Joe Flacco are Anthony Richardson. Colts win this one on the road. [00:14:11] Speaker B: I'm gonna go the other way. This is gonna be game two of the five I'm gonna give you at Jacksonville. This is the must win for them, probably the most winnable game they need right now. The Colts, while they did win two in a row, both pretty much squeakers. I don't, is Richardson even cleared to play at this point? Are they still game time between them and, and Flacco? I don't even know. Doesn't matter. I think the Jaguars got something to prove. This is the time, this is the week for them to make the mark. So I'm taking them minus three. Jaguars pull this one off. [00:14:43] Speaker A: Dolphins at Patriots. Patriots. Man, it's gonna be ugly game. Miami's allegedly no New England's favored by minus 136 and a half. [00:14:58] Speaker C: Go ahead, Jason. [00:14:59] Speaker B: I'll say I was going back and forth on this one. The only thing I know about this game is it will not be on the red zone channel one time the entire time on Sunday. This game is going to be played between the twenties and I don't think the ball is going to be able to move. I'd stay away if I'm leaning anywhere. I think the Dolphins, you know, pull something out, but it's going to be an ugly game that no one's going to want to watch. [00:15:22] Speaker C: Yeah. This would have been a perfect Thursday night game for Rome to fall asleep and then wake up and really not miss anything. [00:15:28] Speaker A: I know. [00:15:30] Speaker C: I like the Patriots at home. Dolphins have looked terrible. Patriots will control the clock. Run it. Miami's defense is a mess. Patriots get their first home win of the season. [00:15:42] Speaker A: Really? Is Jacoby still play? Yeah, I know. Like, the calls have been getting louder for. [00:15:56] Speaker C: You don't want to see Drake May. You don't know. [00:15:58] Speaker A: I don't want to know. But you never know, I think anything. [00:16:04] Speaker B: If you're looking for Drake may like, that's typically they're going to do like by week, switch out Patriots by week. I don't even know when the Patriots by week is. [00:16:17] Speaker C: Let's see, Patriots, dang. Week 14 is their bye week. [00:16:23] Speaker A: God damn. [00:16:23] Speaker B: That's maybe, maybe it might be. Not that long. [00:16:26] Speaker C: Yeah. Looking at their schedule, they've got Houston, Jacksonville, the Jets. You could see Drake made that week nine at Tennessee. [00:16:34] Speaker A: Oh, really? [00:16:36] Speaker C: Maybe they got Tennessee Chicago week 910. Those are road games. Or maybe save them to a home game against the lonely Rams in week eleven. So somewhere I think around that time you're likely gonna see him. Unless Brissette gets hurt or just looks like shit against a bad Miami team, then there's a possibility. But I guess, so there's no reason, there's no reason to throw Drake may out there right now. [00:16:59] Speaker A: No, I would hope not. Next game is Browns at the commanders with a slight favorite, minus three over under 43 and a half. You guys got. [00:17:14] Speaker B: Commanders look really good right now and I think people are talking potential MVP votes for Jaden Daniels. I think I saw in some media outlets really this week. Probably even definitely front runner rookie of the year. So far, Brown's games are rough to watch. Defense pretty solid, but the offense, I mean, I don't even know what you're going to get. Washington can get up and down the field. They got a lot of different weapons that they're utilizing, especially with what Jayden Danz was doing. Not betting this one, not a one, five. But I think the commanders win. [00:17:49] Speaker C: Weird line. I don't know why Washington, the commanders are only three point favorites. They should be five or six. Cleveland's bad. They're terrible. Deshaun Watson doesn't want to get hit. Just running around making stupid plays. Defensively, Cleveland, not the same as they were last year. Commanders. Offensively, Jaden Daniels making plays. Their defense isn't that great, but they ain't got to worry against an immune, terrible offense that Cleveland has. Washington lay the three points. Big play this week. Big play. [00:18:21] Speaker A: I think I'm going to have this as my upset. Special NFL. I think the Browns are just due for a comeback game. DeShawn Watson has not looked like himself, although what is himself besides, you know, hook it up with somebody on the massage parlor. Brown's upset this weekend, I think, but that might be my upset. Pick one of them for this weekend. Next game, Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans. With Bills slight favorites at minus one, the over under has increased to 47 and a half. [00:19:02] Speaker C: Give me the Texans at home as a dog. Even matchup, even teams. Buffalo kind of got exposed Sunday night against Baltimore. Not sure if mix is going to come back, but Houston is going to do a lot of running, a lot of play action. They got better, better weapons in the passing game. Texans as a, as a dog at home, you're not going to see that this be the only time they're home. Underdog take them. [00:19:25] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm going to go the other way. Bills bounced back after a loss on Sunday night. I think a lot of people saw that Baltimore win coming, but I think Buffalo is going to bounce back up. I guess they're the favorite. Can't be upset, but I think it's going to be a good game regardless. Probably a potential playoff matchup at this point. [00:19:45] Speaker A: Yeah, I want to stay away from this one. It's got to be fun. Oh, no. I can't wait to watch it. Bills, they didn't even show up last Sunday and then Texans. It's been up and down season so far. You have all those weapons. Who knows what happens. But cool. Panthers at the Bears. Bears are favorites by four points over under his 40. 40 drop down to 40 and a half. Chase. [00:20:12] Speaker C: Brief and short. I'll keep it brief and short because I know Jason wants to get in on it. I like the Bears to cover. That would be one of my top plays. Their defense at home plays at another level. Andy Dalton's going to give at least two or three turnovers. Caleb. And that offense has gotten better. Finally did what me and Jason said, run in between the tackles. Amazing how that works for DeAndre Swift. 50 RTD run bears. They'll cover the one by seven plus. [00:20:39] Speaker B: Yep. This is bet number three for me on my five for the week. Aaron really said it all. I know it would be a biased pick for me with the Bears, but you're going to start getting some Caleb breakout games here with as they continue to establish the running game. Ron, don't shake your head at me right now, all right? But yeah, I think the Bears go going away. This is really kind of where the offense starts ticking up. The defense is just playing out of their minds. [00:21:07] Speaker A: Nice. [00:21:08] Speaker B: He wants to go upset special right now just because we're on it this way. He's like, he's got that. [00:21:13] Speaker C: He's got that Andy Dalton looking like haircut cut. You just need to color it a little red and orange. Oh, really good to go. Yeah. He's not no red rifle, I'll tell you that. [00:21:22] Speaker A: This guy this is like napping in the middle of the night, middle of the afternoon. It was hot as San Francisco and hot for us is like, you know, anything past any five degrees. I don't know which way to go this week for this game. I'm going to stay away, actually. I don't trust any Dalton running this offense. They look great. Last week could have pull out another victory, but, you know, Chicago's at home, so we'll see. Is that just all the morning games? Is that it? That's it. We're, we're on bye weeks now. [00:21:58] Speaker C: Yeah. There's four teams on a by this. [00:21:59] Speaker A: Week God damn well would be manageable, at least. Raiders at Broncos. Broncos are slight favorites. Two and a half over, under 35 and a half. [00:22:14] Speaker C: Yeah. Staying away from the total, staying away from the side. Broncos winners of two back east beating the jets last week in Tampa before that. Those are two impressive wins. They now get the Raiders coming off that win against Cleveland. A lot of drama surrounding, you know, Antonio Pierce, Devontae Adams going, what is that all about? [00:22:36] Speaker A: Actually. [00:22:41] Speaker C: Devante, Devante and Pierce don't get along, man. They're just not seeing eye to eye. They're not, they're not bros. They're not buds. Pierce has kind of rubbed Devante the wrong way. Devante's wanted out for a while. Corning my sources out there. [00:22:55] Speaker A: That's right. You're in Vegas. [00:22:56] Speaker C: Yeah. So I'm taking, I'm taking the Broncos to win. Stay away from the side. But knicks and crew, they'll get it done. [00:23:06] Speaker B: Agree with Aaron staying away, but Broncos as well. Just a lot of stuff going on with the Raiders. Don't know if Rome caught this during the nap, but besides the jets, Devante has also listed like the Saints, the Saints, the bill. Derek Carr is his guy. [00:23:23] Speaker A: Oh, my God. Disgusting. [00:23:26] Speaker B: The bills are on the list. The bills was very intriguing to me as well, too. So you can get some teams. [00:23:31] Speaker C: I think the bills are fool's gold right now. Chiefs have been rumored in there with. [00:23:37] Speaker B: Runners list, but I don't think the Cowboys got anything to give for them now. [00:23:41] Speaker C: Jerry's out. Jerry just wants, you know, Jerry just wants to run the Cowboys in there. Anybody that's available in the trade, Cowboys are linked to them. That's just how that goes. I think it's a, I think it's a two way street right now. Either the jets or the Saints are going to pull the trigger on Devontae. [00:23:58] Speaker A: And I'd like to see Devontae on the Chargers. [00:24:00] Speaker C: The Jets will lose Sunday first before the Saints lose Monday in Kansas City. They'll pull the trigger first. [00:24:07] Speaker A: That'd be hilarious. Afternoon games, another one. Cardinals visiting the San Francisco 49 ers. Tickets are actually going for a decent amount this week. I might go to it, kind of debating to take my daughter or not, but 49 ers favored by seven and a half over under 49 and a half high scoring game, allegedly. [00:24:34] Speaker B: Yeah, this was going to be my number four bet. It's a lot of points for me for a Cardinals team that can get up and down the field. Got a continued few injuries for the Niners. I'm taking the Cardinals plus seven and a half. Still think the Niners win the game, but a lot of points for a team that could score. [00:24:52] Speaker C: Yeah, Cardinals, if you're going to play side, I would say they are the side. 49 ers are banged up. Fred Warner hasn't practiced all week. Their offense for the 49 ers been out of sync. Arizona is kind of a tough team to figure out. They start fast and then just seem to fade. Both games to the last two games at home, they've scored opening touchdowns right off the bat and like, okay, we're going to be in a shootout game and then they just underperform with the 49 Ers and their injuries. In Arizona. Typically divisional games are close. They're tighten. If I was taking the side, I would take the Cardinals this possible upset, but I think the 49 ers will still pull out the victory. [00:25:31] Speaker A: Yeah, you guys said that the Cardinals can score, but they haven't scored aside for that one win in week two. They look like shit. [00:25:39] Speaker C: Yeah, they scored 28. They scored 28 against Buffalo. What? 41 against the Rams and then under 20 the last. But they've scored, like I said, the opening drive in each of those games like gangbusters. I'm like, all right, I, we've taken the over in a couple of those games and they've just disappointed from there. [00:25:53] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. I don't know, it's a, I think 49 and a half is a little high and then even the 49 ers pretty, look great, right? I don't know if they hit me over, but four diners should win. They got take control the division finally. Green Bay packers. We had a tough loss last week. Are visiting the Rams, your guys hometown dude. Los Angeles green base fair by three, over under 40 and a half. [00:26:28] Speaker B: I think this is an easy win for the packers. They looked pretty bad last week. Jordan Love particularly should be a little bit healthier this week. A Rams team that's really underwhelmed so far and still has a lot of injuries on both sides of the ball. I think the packers win this. [00:26:47] Speaker C: Yeah. The lines tricky at three, three and a half, depending on what you get. Yeah, packers should definitely go better. I haven't looked at the injury report. You know, they were out two corners against Minnesota. That really hurt them. Jordan love looked rusty, didn't look himself like Jason said he should look better this week. Stafford McVeigh, you know, they did win their only home game so far this year. Come back against the 49 ers. I would take the Packers. Packers should win this game. [00:27:17] Speaker A: We got the pack, huh? Okay. Giants at Seahawks. Seahawks favored by six and a half. Now. That's actually increased by, I believe, a point and a half versus when it opened up over under 43. [00:27:40] Speaker B: Yeah, I'd stay away from the game overall because it's a lot of points for the Giants going east to west. [00:27:47] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:27:49] Speaker B: Seattle to me wins this game, but it'll be close, so. But I. But I'd still stay away. [00:27:56] Speaker C: This is a game where Daniel Jones plays like the Daniel Jones we know where he throws like two, pick six and three total interceptions. Neighbors is questionable. The concussion, no concussion. Seattle will blow them out. If neighbors is in, maybe they keep it interesting, but Seattle will win this game. [00:28:15] Speaker A: Man. Um, yeah, I agree with you guys. I have no comment on this. I don't know. I have a feeling it's going to be ugly game, but we'll see how it goes for Sunday night. We have a hell of a game. Dallas Cowboys are visiting my Pittsburgh Steelers. Steelers are slight favorites at two and a half. Dallas looks like shit this year. They're just not a good team up and down. They have a few injuries as well. They didn't get a running back. Their defensive play calling is odd, to say the least. I am confident of saying my Steelers this fucking Sunday night. [00:29:00] Speaker B: Well, I'm going the other way and this is my number five game. I'm going Cowboys plus two and a half on this one. [00:29:05] Speaker A: Go fuck yourself. [00:29:07] Speaker B: Think the offense finds itself a little bit, but they don't have to put up big numbers against the Steelers because I think the Steelers can maybe score 20 points. That's their limit. So Cowboys in this one. [00:29:18] Speaker C: I'm going to go the opposite. I love the Steelers. Love them. Minus two and a half. Cowboys d lines banged up. The Brandon cooks is out. The defense going to dominate. I know the Steelers have some offensive line wells, but with the Cowboys defensive line injuries, that will be balanced out. Give me fields, give me the Steelers. Give me Tomlin. Pittsburgh covers at home. One of my top five plays. [00:29:42] Speaker A: Nice. I know Jason's a feeler hater now. He's a former Chicago player hater. I've been realizing, listening to all the. [00:29:50] Speaker B: Podcasts, that is not true at all. I have great love for Justin Fields, great love for Darnell Mooney tonight. Love to see those guys succeed. Just because you're getting mad at me because I picked against the Steelers, man, geez. [00:30:05] Speaker A: Monday night, thank God we don't have no doubleheaders. It's just going to be Saints visiting Kansas City. I've been going against Kansas City every week. They should be o four. They should not be in the playoff picture. They should never want those two servables. I'm tired of seeing the Kelsey brothers. I'm tired of seeing my homes. They just need to sink down in like this deep hole of whatever it is. But they're favored by five and a half and, you know, I don't know. Saints, where'd they go? Do they show up this week? [00:30:42] Speaker B: Irrational hate for a team that's four and o and is a two time defending super. [00:30:47] Speaker A: It's rational hate, Jason. It's, it's a. It's very true. You know, they're not very good and everyone has them on the power rankings of like number one. They're not a number one team. I just. Cuz they're four. No, doesn't mean they're that they're the best team in the league. They're shit. They're trash. [00:31:04] Speaker B: I mean, there's only one thing that stat that counts, Roman, it wins and they got four and they haven't lost. [00:31:10] Speaker C: Any and they'll get number five on Monday night. [00:31:14] Speaker B: Agree with Aaron. I'd stay away from it just because I think it's going to be a tighter game. Steve Chiefs play a lot of tight games but I think they found something in the running game with Kareem Hunt this week. You'll see a little more of that. The Rashid rice injury I think will play, will play a little bit, but I'd expect a little more in the running game. I think it's going to be close, but I still think the Chiefs are going to go five and O and Rome could talk again next week. How much he hates a team undefeated. [00:31:39] Speaker A: Who'd you have, Aaron? [00:31:41] Speaker C: Chiefs. I'd stay away from the side five and a half with Rasheed Rice out. We don't know how this off is going to look. They haven't looked good. When he was in there. I just don't trust Derek Carr and the Saints in this spot. That Chiefs defense is really good, though. They've been able to step up when they needed to. They got, they got a good kicker. Tough to see, but, you know, maybe the offense will look without Rasheed rise out there, will look stagnant, not good. Been rumors. Tyree kill maybe secretly wanting to come back to Kansas City. So we'll see how this offense looks. Saints defensively not bad, but Chiefs win this one, go to five. And now, unfortunately, I. [00:32:28] Speaker A: Am hoping that Derek Carr and the Saints show up this weekend. I think 42, 43 is like, really low. Mahomes hasn't passed for 300 yards in like, almost like a year. [00:32:41] Speaker C: So 200, man, he's barely getting, barely getting 200. [00:32:45] Speaker A: He's due for one, which makes me nervous at their four. No, I might pick this as my other upset special. I'm, I'm like, gonna like, you know, go see a tarot card reader. I'm going to do, like, my chakras, the fucking, you know, Scorpio, moon rise, where the fuck it means. And I'm hoping the Saints pull, pull us out. But, uh, a lot of, like, stay away games for me this weekend. [00:33:08] Speaker C: I seem like about 75% of the car is a stay away for you, Rome. [00:33:13] Speaker B: I think he's looking on Sunday afternoon nap time, so I'm just going to stay away. Don't have to watch any of the bets and play. [00:33:20] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm just imagining, you know, if I go to Steelers game or not and then how much my daughter can handle for football this weekend. She got burnt out last time. Cool. That's it. I think, like, after we do, like, this week and maybe like, week six, maybe we could do like, you know, who's real, who's not, and all that shit. Looks like things are starting to, like, be put together after this past week. [00:33:47] Speaker B: Chiefs are going to be seven and, oh, and Rome's going to say they're not real, they're not good. [00:33:52] Speaker C: They're going to buy, well, they got to buy them at San Francisco, at Vegas. [00:33:57] Speaker A: I want to go to the San Francisco game, but those tickets are going for $400 now just to stand up in the stadium. It's the same. Sucks. [00:34:07] Speaker C: Yeah, Rome, you're better off going. You went to Arizona last year, man. I got, you sent me a picture. You went there last year. You got Dallas, Seattle comes into town. You got, you got Jason's bears there, too. [00:34:20] Speaker A: Yeah, I want to go to that one. [00:34:21] Speaker C: Maybe, maybe you guys can do a little rendezvous up there. Or something. [00:34:24] Speaker A: Jason, want to go that game? [00:34:27] Speaker B: I may be going. I have. I have some. I have some sources that could potentially get me close to the field. So I might not be able to, you know, go with you, but I might be there. [00:34:39] Speaker A: Really? [00:34:40] Speaker C: He didn't. He didn't even offer resources to closer. [00:34:44] Speaker B: Dude, that's, you know, gotta chase. [00:34:47] Speaker A: You gotta buy me. [00:34:48] Speaker C: That's what happens if you have a guy. That's what happens when you don't show up on time and make. The guy started pot at, like, almost 02:00 a.m. that's how it goes, Rome. That's how it goes. [00:34:57] Speaker A: I'm so exhausted. I can't wait to go take a nap again. I am out of it, and I'm eating, like, these chips that sold in my house. It's hawaiian sweet maui onions. And I used to have these a lot in your house, Aaron. [00:35:09] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:35:10] Speaker A: Your mom used to buy these all the time. [00:35:12] Speaker B: The listeners will get to hear it at the two minute mark when you started eating them and were crunching while we were talking. [00:35:17] Speaker C: So, yeah, hopefully AI can cancel and edit that one out. [00:35:24] Speaker A: Yeah. Now I'm hungry. I'm so hungry right now. [00:35:26] Speaker B: We still got Aaron's games of the week in college football. There was only 13 this week, and Aaron may or may not have spelt Minnesota, right. [00:35:36] Speaker C: That's about right. And these are this segments now called games to keep an eye on. Because, you know, my sources told me, like, hey, Aaron, there's just 22 games. Too many to watch. I said, hey, I get it. So these are just games to keep an eye on. If you get around to it, you get around to it. [00:35:51] Speaker A: It's okay, dude. We, you know, we can make fun of you. You should be able to make it out okay. Is this on the same notepad? Like this, like, I could see, like, the writing for, like, the previous games? [00:36:04] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. It's all the same. It's all in the same notepad, bro. We don't waste paper around here, dude. [00:36:09] Speaker A: Cool, man. Let's get. Get into it then. [00:36:12] Speaker B: Aaron, many guys are still rocking the legal pad, you know, just got the yellow legal pad. [00:36:16] Speaker A: I like legal pads. [00:36:19] Speaker C: I do, too. [00:36:20] Speaker B: Aaron is so confident in these picks. It is etched into the 20 pieces of paper below it. [00:36:27] Speaker C: Exactly, man. There's no software in here. Everything I do is hard. Everything. [00:36:34] Speaker A: We'll take a quick break on the pod. We'll come back. Aaron's college football games to watch. Allegedly. We're back week six. College football games to watch. Aaron diminished his 22 games to watch other week to these. Well, we got 12345. [00:37:02] Speaker C: I think we got 13 games. [00:37:03] Speaker A: 13 games. Only a divorced dad can watch all these 13 games, so. [00:37:08] Speaker B: Well, luckily, you tap, and Sam Houston and Texas State Troy, were not in those lists because you would have slept through those games tonight, too, if they played night. Yeah. Thursday night football in college. This is night one, I think, of 53 consecutive days of football. [00:37:26] Speaker C: 55, I believe. [00:37:28] Speaker B: Five. [00:37:28] Speaker A: Okay. [00:37:29] Speaker C: Yeah. 55 straight days. [00:37:31] Speaker A: Really? [00:37:32] Speaker C: No rest for the worry. [00:37:35] Speaker A: Why is it 55 days straight? [00:37:38] Speaker C: Just games. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday. [00:37:42] Speaker A: Who's playing on a Tuesday? [00:37:44] Speaker B: Probably the Mac. [00:37:46] Speaker A: Who's playing on a Wednesday? [00:37:47] Speaker C: Tuesday, you have Florida International University. [00:37:51] Speaker A: I like this. [00:37:52] Speaker C: Liberty don't like to set on Wednesday. Wednesday, you have New Mexico State versus Jacksonville State. So. And then, of course, you already got NFL football Monday, Thursday, and Sunday. [00:38:05] Speaker A: So we went on a ramp about this, like, last week. Like this. Football Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. [00:38:12] Speaker C: Yeah, we're getting drunk on it. We're just getting drunk on it. Rode in on it. We are Odin on football. That's why we need six months of an offseason to regroup. That's just the way it is. [00:38:22] Speaker A: I'm gonna be overdosed on football by the time thanksgiving comes around. [00:38:26] Speaker C: I think you already are, Rome. It already pitch you out for a few hours tonight. [00:38:29] Speaker B: So best Thursday night game of the season, and he sleeps through it. [00:38:33] Speaker C: You got to get yourself a doctor. Some iv and fluids over there, man. You gotta have one on staff, you know? [00:38:38] Speaker A: Dude, I like that. [00:38:39] Speaker C: You gotta have, like, that alert commercial when you go down, you just press that button. They will you out, put the iv in you, and boom, here we go. [00:38:47] Speaker A: I didn't even fall asleep on my couch. I fell asleep on the floor. I just, like, face planted down with a bottle of water in my hand. It was just. I woke up, I saw the missed calls. I was like, damn, it's like, 09:00. I missed the call. I missed everything. It was, uh, not feeling good. Uh. All right, anyways, back to the lines. Syracuse. Dude. Dude, that's not how you pay. That's not how you spell Syracuse. [00:39:16] Speaker C: That's how you spell Syracuse, bro. Yeah. [00:39:18] Speaker B: You spell Syracuse. [00:39:19] Speaker A: Really? [00:39:20] Speaker B: Yep. [00:39:21] Speaker A: Maybe it's just your writing, Aaron. I just. I don't know. Anyways, plus six and a half against UNLV, 58 and a half. [00:39:30] Speaker C: You know, v, man, you know, these getting a lot of love out there in Vegas. Guys. The people out there, they're. They're in love with UNLV. They're buying in. They're on the hype train. They love them. I got some bad news for them. Syracuse not going to upset him, I don't think, but Syracuse six and a half will cover Friday night. Big game. Big game out in allegiant Stadium. They're hype, man. They're hype for UNLV out there. [00:39:53] Speaker A: Nice. Central Florida minus two and a half against Florida, six. [00:39:59] Speaker C: Makes no sense. Makes no sense. Central Florida got ran all over by Colorado. Now they go into the swamp. I know Florida is not who they think or who they used to be, but the Gators getting points against Central Florida. Give me Florida two and a half. Moneyline underdog. They'll win against Central Florida. Give me the Gators. [00:40:19] Speaker A: Real quick. Jason, how many hats are you carrying on your trip? [00:40:24] Speaker B: I only brought two. One for each recording. [00:40:26] Speaker A: Nice. All right, cool. [00:40:29] Speaker C: Right there. That's a professional right there. [00:40:33] Speaker B: Different hat. Different hat. Every podcast. [00:40:36] Speaker A: I like it. I need to get on that. This shirt, by the way, I found it today, and one of my old bosses said it looked like I slept my way through a whole bunch of cougars to get it. I have a reputation, apparently, for older women. Anyways, SMU plus six and a half. Louisville, 56 and a half. [00:41:03] Speaker C: Yeah. Louisville coming off that tough loss at Notre Dame. At home. SMU is playing really well. Their only loss, Irish there. There you go. Smu's only losses against BYu. BYU is looking really impressive. Five and o in the big twelve conference. SMU is going to cover six and a half against Louisville. This me tight game. [00:41:23] Speaker A: I'm really curious, Aaron, why'd you cross out Minnesota on your listen? [00:41:30] Speaker C: Skipped over a letter, then fixed it. My friend, I ain't got white out, so I just cross it out. [00:41:42] Speaker A: I think it's just your writing. I think it's just writing like, it just makes every word look misspelled. There's, like, capitals and, like, under case letters, like, in the same sentence. I'm so fucking lost. [00:41:56] Speaker C: I think it's my best writing I've had all year. So the fact that you have in trouble means maybe I should just get a little more crazier with it. [00:42:03] Speaker A: Yeah. Auburn plus 23 against Georgia. Man, me and Jason talked about that Georgia game last week. Aaron, what do you think about Georgia? [00:42:16] Speaker C: Alabama last week? [00:42:18] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:42:20] Speaker C: Well, you know, I told you Alabama was going to win that game as a homeowner, dog. You don't get them every year, or even every decade as a home underdog. Georgia, they've. They've got some issues right now. Their offense is looking shaky. Talked about their offensive line being banged up. Carson Beck just making a ton of mistakes. Great job coming back and rallying, but, you know, that's understandable. You get up 30 points, you kind of let your foot off the gas. Almost let that one get away. But Bama looked good. Georgia gets a bad Auburn team at home. This is their first home game in three weeks. This will be a bounce back and a good way for them to get back in the win column before they head to Texas the following week. Who? [00:42:58] Speaker A: That's next week. [00:43:01] Speaker C: Yeah, I do believe that's next week. [00:43:03] Speaker A: That's got to be a game of the week. [00:43:05] Speaker B: Mississippi State first. [00:43:07] Speaker C: Okay. [00:43:07] Speaker A: Okay. Jason, anything about this Auburn Georgia game? [00:43:12] Speaker B: I agree with Aaron. It's a bounce back game for Georgia. I think the only thing Aaron's got, plus 23 on the line. That's a lot of points. A lot of points for Georgia team. I mean, they blew out Clemson early in the year, but they had a tight game against Kentucky. Obviously they lose in Bama. I mean, that's a lot of points. Auburn's not great, but not sure they cover that line. I think it's still a big bounce back for Georgia, but, you know, not looking to towards Texas. That's probably the next game. [00:43:44] Speaker A: Aaron, I don't know why you keep on putting Florida State on these games with. Watch there. It's their trash. [00:43:49] Speaker C: This is a big Acc game. [00:43:51] Speaker A: There's something big about it. [00:43:54] Speaker C: Dude, you know how big? [00:43:55] Speaker A: It's not big because college game day decided to come to Berkeley to cover cow and Miami. [00:44:02] Speaker C: Do you check the list? Did you check the list? That game is on there. So what we get into it. Can you read it? Yeah, it's on there. ESPN. Game day calls me for what games they go to, just so you know. But Clemson, Florida State, big game. DJU out at quarterback. Florida State venue, quarterback in. Let's see if they can get some traction going. Clemson's looked really good ever since, like Jason mentioned, that blowout loss against Georgia. This is a two man race, two team race right now of Clemson in Miami, both on the road this week, according to Rome. A big game in Cal. I don't know that you can consider any game in the state of California collegiately a big game, but we'll find out. [00:44:42] Speaker B: Big ten country, you know, I didn't. [00:44:45] Speaker A: Say it was a big game. It's. They're actually making fun of it. Like all. All the newspapers are saying, like, why is college came day coming in town? And they're just saying, like, it's in spite. Because Florida State's trash. That's what they're saying. Florida State and Clemson are so much trash that college game day has to come in because there's no other good games, apparently, this weekend. And, like, looking at your list, they're probably right. I don't know. Maybe they could have went to Rutgers and brought. [00:45:10] Speaker C: I would have. If I was game day, if I was college game day. [00:45:15] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:45:16] Speaker C: I would have went to Washington. Washington, Michigan rematch for the national title. That would have made the most sense. But, you know, they didn't listen to me. That one. That one. Let's go to the next game. [00:45:28] Speaker A: Duke plus nine and GT. 53. [00:45:32] Speaker C: I want to. I want to wish GT a happy birthday. 71 tomorrow. Happy birthday, dad. Happy birthday. GT. [00:45:38] Speaker A: Nice. I brought a man, and I think. [00:45:42] Speaker C: GT is going to win this game. But Duke, I'll take the nine points. They're five and oh. That's a lot of points for a five and oh team to be getting nine points. [00:45:50] Speaker A: Yeah, they're not getting any love. They're like one last few undefeated teams, right? [00:45:54] Speaker C: Correct. [00:45:56] Speaker A: Miami, ten and a half against Cal. No one's expecting Cal. The win over here. Everyone knows Cal has a decent record and they're okay as a football team, but nothing great. I think that's pretty simple. [00:46:11] Speaker C: As we've seen in the ACC and we've seen things get done in Miami. Even if Cal wanted to win, they. They would erase and delete the game from the records and give the win to Miami. So give me the Hurricanes to cover the ten and a half. I like Miami. Cam Ward and those guys that bounce back and look good. [00:46:27] Speaker A: Yeah. So we talked about. About Miami's last game, right? And then. But we didn't get your opinions, Aaron, on whether it was a catch or not. And. [00:46:37] Speaker C: Incomplete. It was an incomplete pass. It was a right. [00:46:39] Speaker A: How the fuck do you have an incomplete? [00:46:43] Speaker B: You're the only one arguing the side of this room. Like, you had all these dudes bodies all out of bounds, correcting. [00:46:48] Speaker C: Correct the ball, just half of them. Like, the. The ball was sitting there like your fucking lap dog does. It's an incomplete pass, bro. [00:46:56] Speaker A: You guys are like, you guys need some fucking glasses. Tennessee -13 and a half against Arkansas. You crossed out 57 and they put the seven again. What happened here? [00:47:08] Speaker C: Yeah, the. I didn't want you to say, like, my fucking five looks like an s, so I wanted to make it a little bit better written for you so you could fucking read it. I'll take the over. 57. Tennessee can score points. Arkansas's got a pretty good offense. I'll take over 57. [00:47:30] Speaker A: Dude, like, the rest of your fives look like S's, so you just like just that bad five. [00:47:38] Speaker C: That one looked bad. Even that one I couldn't. I had to mark it out, man. [00:47:42] Speaker A: Look at the next one. Baylord. [00:47:44] Speaker B: Are we, are we still posting these on twitter every week? Yeah, our x, whatever you want to call it. [00:47:49] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, I'm totally gonna post this one. Yeah. And then you have like that 44 and a half, but that. It's obviously a five, but it looks like an s. They got drunk. Let's go to that one. Baylor plus 13. Iowa State, 44. Point s. [00:48:08] Speaker C: Point s. Yeah. 40. Baylor gained 13 points. That's a lot of points. Iowa State, I like them, but Baylor's been, every game they've played has been tight, been close. Baylor get the 13 points on the road. I would take that Iowa State to get the win, though. [00:48:23] Speaker A: Really? [00:48:24] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:48:25] Speaker A: That's actually going to be a pretty good game. [00:48:27] Speaker C: Baylor will cover. [00:48:28] Speaker A: Yeah, I was. [00:48:29] Speaker B: Stayed a sneaky four. No. [00:48:30] Speaker A: Yeah, you are right. Isn't Baylor underpins as well? [00:48:35] Speaker C: They got. No, they got. Well, lost three losses. [00:48:39] Speaker A: Oh, shit. [00:48:41] Speaker C: But all of them tight. They lost Utah, Colorado, and then last week, BYu. [00:48:47] Speaker A: Missouri plus two against Texas A and m. 48 and a half. [00:48:52] Speaker C: Yeah. You're looking for a top ten team to go down this weekend is Missouri. Texas A and M at home will knock Missouri from the unbeatens and the top ten. Texas A and M lost to Jason's Irish early in the year. Tough home loss. They won't let this one get away. They'll beat Missouri. [00:49:07] Speaker A: Really? [00:49:08] Speaker C: Give me the Aggies. [00:49:10] Speaker A: Rutgers against my Nebraska. Corn Huskers. Corn Huskers. Rutgers are giving seven. Not a lot of love for the Rutgers, even though they have like, a really powerful running game. They're running back. Might be a Heisman hopeful. Great offensive line. [00:49:26] Speaker C: Yeah. Rutgers, they looked good. We had them last week against Washington. Yeah, Lane two and a half won that one. Nebraska's home. Like you said, Rutgers got a good run game, but we know Nebraska's d line's tough this game. Actually think Nebraska is going to cover the seven at at home. Rutgers is quarterback wise, looks shaky at times. Give me the Nebraska and their thousand sell out at home to get the job done. [00:49:57] Speaker A: Michigan plus two and a half against Washington. [00:50:02] Speaker C: I know you're nervous, Rome, because I've been saying Michigan's a six seven win team if they lose this game, Michigan, that's where they're exactly going to finish the fact that Vegas and the wise guys both agree with me that Michigan should be a dog on the road against the dogs washing Huskies. But I'm actually going to take Michigan. I think Michigan is going to win this game. Their power, their ability to control the line of scrimmage will be the difference. Give me Michigan to. But secretly I'm rooting for Washington to win the game. But I would bet Michigan. [00:50:36] Speaker B: We talked about this Rome on Monday, but Michigan surprising me like because they could barely do anything in the past game. But they've had some big plays in the running game that have been really game changers that have really made some surprising wins where I didn't think they'd be at four wins already this time. [00:50:56] Speaker A: Who you got, Jason? [00:51:01] Speaker B: I'll go Washington. [00:51:03] Speaker C: I like it. I like it. I'm rooting for Washington, but I would take Michigan getting two and a half, you know, disrespect to Michigan, man. Just disrespect by the lines. [00:51:11] Speaker A: I just think Michigan's defense is just too good to lose a game. And I don't know, man. [00:51:17] Speaker C: This. This is Michigan's first road game. They have not played a road game. They've played every game has been home. [00:51:25] Speaker A: Are you serious? [00:51:26] Speaker C: This. And this can be a hostile environment, you know, Washington, given what happened in the national championship game, obviously different players, but the atmosphere is gonna be lit. I don't know why ESPN game day chose California Berkeley, of all places, over going to the husky stadium. Made no sense. Just makes no sense. [00:51:48] Speaker B: Yeah, this is big, big ten game. ESPN doesn't have the rights to the big ten. They do to the ACC. [00:51:59] Speaker A: Very interesting. USC for your last game. This is. Man, this is gonna be like a rough Saturday for college football. Actually, now that I'm looking at this, not only your list, Aaron, but like. [00:52:09] Speaker C: The whole schedule, the list was tough to put together. [00:52:14] Speaker A: Is that why you don't have 22 games? [00:52:17] Speaker C: Yeah, exactly. You know, there's. These are games to keep an eye on and watch if you get a chance. Obviously with the schedule this week, there's not 25 games. I'm keeping an eye on USC. I put on there going to Minnesota. Minnesota showed some fight against Michigan last week in the big house. [00:52:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:52:33] Speaker C: USC is yet to win a road game and this is a big ten game, conference game before Penn State comes in next week. Could be a look ahead. So this should be a good game. [00:52:45] Speaker B: Can I go back to Michigan really quick? [00:52:47] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, go ahead. [00:52:48] Speaker B: So Aaron mentioned that they. This is their first road game. I need to applaud the mission at Michigan athletic director. They only have four road games this entire season. [00:53:00] Speaker C: And I'm not gonna go on record, but I, I see him losing all four of them. I think it's the reason why they only scheduled for it. [00:53:08] Speaker B: Could be I was just like, Aaron, get me intrigued. I was like, there's no way they haven't played a road game yet. And he's exactly right. And they only play at Washington this week, then at Illinois, then at Indiana, and then ending at Ohio. [00:53:19] Speaker A: It's week six already. Yeah, maybe they knew they were, they were going to have like a quarterback. And the orgy party is not going as planned. [00:53:30] Speaker C: So the only good thing right now about the orgy party, man, the line is short. It's not a long wait to get in. That's all I can say right now. [00:53:38] Speaker A: All right, back to USC, Minnesota. [00:53:40] Speaker C: USC wins this one maybe tighter than people think. [00:53:44] Speaker A: And Jason, we called this last week, man. Wisconsin almost pulled that upset. And USC luckily came back from behind. What's cause is dangerous. Don't bet against them. [00:53:57] Speaker C: I'm not buying into Wisconsin. They've, they've put together one good quarter here, one good half. Mean Rome talked at worst of love, man, for Arizona over Utah last week. A ten point underdog, outright winner. Told you that was going to happen. Can't trust a freshman quarterback to win two big games in a conference. If Cam rising was there would have been a different story. But the source was right, man. The source of right. He wasn't going to play. [00:54:25] Speaker A: You're right. Yeah. Cool, man. So like. Okay, that's it then? [00:54:31] Speaker C: Yeah, right. Under an hour, man. This fucking great timing, dude. We should start the pod every night at fucking 11:00 be done by midnight. [00:54:38] Speaker B: We still haven't talked baseball yet, though. [00:54:41] Speaker A: All right, we'll take a quick break and then I guess we'll talk baseball because now we're in the playoffs, baby. You guys are tripping. All right, we're back from the break. MLB baseball. The playoff pitcher is finally clear. Aaron's braves out. Thank God. I called some upsets here. Detroit won. Didn't see Casey winning that one. That was a surprise. Didn't, wasn't really sure about the Mets, but they actually pulled it out. And then obviously San Diego dominant in that. What was it like the second or third inning when they scored like five runs and then they luckily etched it out at the end of the game? So what did you guys think about the wild card games? [00:55:35] Speaker B: Well, I was wrong. Badly. As I said, all favorites are going to win all I got right. All I got right was San Diego. So little did I know. But this is what the new playoff formats like. I mean, you get into these best of three series, really, anything can happen. The Orioles really has struggled hitting the second half of the year for an offense that was, you know, so prolific with all of the prospects and young talent they've had, but they haven't been able to hit down the stretch, couldn't hit in the playoffs. That bounced them. Really was surprised with the Brewers. I think the couple times we've talked baseball, I, Aaron and I both highlighted the brewers really being under the radar team. They were able to, you know, make that comeback in game two. Really had this game all night tonight, and Alonzo just taken at the end. That really, that one probably caught me by the most surprise because I thought it was going to be pretty, pretty chalk in the NL more than the AL. But, yeah, but I. But I was wrong, all of it besides the Padres. So. [00:56:39] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm not on record for any picks, so I don't have to say I was wrong or right, but, yeah, like Jason said, I mean, brewers, that. That was a gut wrenching loss, man. Two oh in control. You got your closer. He's one of the best in the game. And what do you like, the one thing you can't do as a closer or bullpen leading late in games? You can't walk the lead off guy. Like, that's a pet peeve of mine. Don't walk the lead off guy. That always leads to trouble. Then you get an infield hit. And then Alonzo, opposite field, three run shot, breaks the brewers hearts. It's a shame Jason wasn't there this week for that, that we get, you know, a feel for how that town feels. Like, you know, he was there. Everybody was upbeat in Milwaukee. He was feeling, obviously, Jason was feeling. He's still got a little Milwaukee in him right now, and it just got, it just got sucked out of him with that Alonzo home run. [00:57:31] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, good time. Nice ballpark in Milwaukee like we talked about. Uh, yeah. Disappoint there. The Astros, tigers going into that one, one thing. This is like the first time in eight years, I think. Cause the Astros had seven straight ALCS appearances, so the first time, the Astros won't be there. Rome, the Dodger fan probably hates the Astros. That was, I think, the only one the people more excited about the Tigers winning was Dodger fans on X is what I saw. [00:58:00] Speaker A: I was really excited. But, uh, I I know you talked about Detroit and how the White Sox should have had that manager and I, it just dawned on me that Houston. [00:58:12] Speaker C: Should have never fired the guy. They should have never fired the guy. [00:58:16] Speaker A: You know, I don't, I don't even know how to feel about hinge. [00:58:20] Speaker C: I love hinge, man. [00:58:21] Speaker A: Yeah, they all cheat. [00:58:22] Speaker C: I think. I think the Tigers beat the guardians. I got really going through. I got to try going through in that series. [00:58:28] Speaker B: Yeah, I'll disagree on that. Cleveland's bullpen could be one of the best of all time. I mean, class a is in a class of his own right now this year. And, I mean, if they have any sort of lead, Cleveland early in the game, it's pretty much a lock and a wrap. And I think that's going to be the difference in the game. Great story for Detroit. Like, I agree with Aaron on hench and what Roman said, what I said on Monday or whatever day that was. Yeah, Monday should have been the White Sox manager. That was Rick Han's pick. Terrible owner Jerry Reinzor full over overruled him and brought in La Russa. And the dividends are bringing a hinge to this young Tigers team, which, you know, they were basically sellers at the deadline. I think they sent down Torkelson twice for the guy who was, you know, the consensus going to be the truth from a hitter and, you know, got this team all the way to the playoffs and had a really good run. So it'll be interesting series, but I still think Cleveland's the class of that. [00:59:28] Speaker A: So Jason gots Cleveland. Aaron gots, Detroit. [00:59:34] Speaker C: Detroit. [00:59:35] Speaker A: Every time I type out Jason's name, spellcheck wants to change it. It's really frustrating. [00:59:41] Speaker B: It's all right. Let him change it. [00:59:42] Speaker A: It's okay. [00:59:45] Speaker B: The rest of the series, Rome, I'm pretty sure Aaron and I are aligned. The NLCs of Phillies, Dodgers has been, I think, what both of us have been saying so far. And I think the Yankees roll the Royals at the same time, too, with all the power in their lineup. So I don't want to speak for Aaron, but I'm pretty sure we've been pretty lying on these being the three best teams in baseball for a lot of the year and the NLCs of the Dodgers, Phillies really think that's the, that's the, the big main event championship game right there. [01:00:17] Speaker C: I'll agree with that statement. I'm on board for all three of those teams advancing. We're seeing eye to eye, Jason. [01:00:27] Speaker A: Wow. Yeah, no, I, I'm really nervous about the paj's. They're like red hot. Their bats are red hot. And for some reason, my Dodgers, they've been great, actually. They've been a really good baseball team my whole life. You know, really can't complain about too many years even to make the Frank McCourt years. But for some reason, the playoffs, either the pitching gets cold, you know, we have lot, lots of injuries, or like the bats just like freeze up. And I just don't know what to expect, man. I am. I don't like baseball playoffs. It stresses me out. I don't like it. [01:01:09] Speaker B: Well, while I'm still picking the Dodgers, what I will say is on a personal rooting interest, since you accuse me of not rooting for former Bears, I am rooting for former White Sox. And Dylan Cease opening starter for the Padres. I see the Padres potentially winning game one behind cease because he's a horse, and I will definitely root for him. [01:01:31] Speaker C: Yeah, I agree. I think Cease has been good. He's been clutch for the Padres all year. This is a potential game for the Dodgers to lose. It's gonna be an interesting series. This is the toughest matchup for the Dodgers. Dave Roberts has been on record saying the Padres have given them fits. The end of the year they played, Padres took game one. Dodgers had a rally for that. Second game, basically clinched the division. Third game, Padres had already kind of just thrown in the towel. I know Musgrove got hurt. Is there any report on his injury? I know it was elbow related. I didn't see if they've been more specific on timeline, timeframe. Will he, is he even on the DS roster for the Padres? [01:02:12] Speaker B: Haven't seen what the DS roster is, so don't have an update. Although I do want to say I admire the Padres pettiness, but strategy of allowing only people with San Diego zip codes to buy tickets to these games in San Diego. So certain zip, only certain areas are allowed to buy tickets. So no. [01:02:35] Speaker C: LA love that man. I love that man. You don't want that LA trash down in San Diego. I can guarantee that. Do not want it? [01:02:45] Speaker A: No. Well, me and Aaron went to a padre's game last year. That was like a lot of fun, good vibe. Yeah, that game two win against Braves, that looked like it was a pop in place, but I actually looked up. I was just kind of curious of going like, what would it cost to go to the daughters game? [01:03:04] Speaker C: Yeah, you're gonna have a sell out crowd for all those games. I think you're gonna see a five game set. I think it's gonna go five games. [01:03:09] Speaker A: Five games. [01:03:11] Speaker C: Yeah, this just feels like a five game series. It's gonna be tough, gritty. We're in agreeance, me and Jason. I assume you are too. Rome of the Dodgers advancing though you're not confident them, they're pitching their bullpen. Dave Roberts, he's been a killer for them. I'd give the edge in the Schultz for the Padres, even in the manager all game. So we'll see, man. But the Padres, one thing about the Padres with the Dodgers is they don't fear the Dodgers. They want the Dodgers. Not a lot of teams in the National League or in baseball want to play. Oh, tiny, these guys, the Padres are up for the challenge and that's always scary and always makes for a good series. [01:03:49] Speaker A: Yeah, for sure. You guys have nothing for the with like the Casey Yankees, just Yankees gonna just dominate, just move on. [01:03:59] Speaker C: Casey's a scrappy team. Yankees, like Jason said, just the overall power of that lineup. The Yankees, this is their time with Houston being out. That's always kind of been the Yankees killer in the postseason. They just never been able to get past Houston. Things are looking good for the Yankees to get to a World Series. You know, everybody's always talking about Yankees, Dodgers, World Series. They'd love to happen. Maybe we see a judge Ohtani. That's big ratings for Fox. [01:04:30] Speaker B: So I think Fox will take it either way, whether it's Dodgers or Phillies. I think if you get Philadelphia, New York, that's going to be just as big as, as anything. So that's definitely the gift. Going back to the Padres Dodgers just I had saw this, I wanted to look up his right. This year Padres were eight and five during versus the Dodgers. So, you know, winning team during the regular season supports Aaron, what he's saying about this team, not fearing them. So I think that's talking about this probably be the best series on the board, but yeah, go back. Pardon the Yankees. I think they're in. Not a lot to talk about there, but could be a big, big, big market World Series this year, which I know. [01:05:14] Speaker A: Yeah, I just realized all the game ones are on Saturday, so college football and baseball all on one day. That's gonna be tough. [01:05:21] Speaker C: And UFC 307. It's a big weekend, man. It is a big weekend. [01:05:29] Speaker A: We, we haven't talked to UFC yet. [01:05:33] Speaker C: We'll have pics available on Twitter and dub club for everybody on that. Got a couple main event card fights on that. [01:05:40] Speaker A: Fair enough. How you guys feeling with college football, NFL baseball? We're good. [01:05:46] Speaker C: Feeling great, man. Good. [01:05:48] Speaker B: Full week. [01:05:49] Speaker A: Full week. [01:05:50] Speaker C: Cool. [01:05:51] Speaker A: That wraps up, then catch you guys next week. Peace.
